I have read my original post about 5 times now, and I still have no idea why some people are upset. I said nothing disrespectful about Fairview as a team, or about individual players. I gave them credit. I said they were a good team. I simply stated that the better team won, and that the game seemed like Milan was in control except for early in the 3rd quarter. Would someone please explain how in the world this is upsetting some people?

Well thank you Gerry. I was not trying to be arrogant. You are correct. We did score on short fields. Short fields that we created. Not every turnover is bad offense. The D has something to do with it. We controlled the game from start to finish. You can not deny that. That is all I am saying. Look at the break down in yardage. We almost doubled you guys. I was in no way trying to say Fairview is not good, but except for about 2 minutes in the 3rd quarter nobody was nervous. And for that matter, the nervousness did not last long as Milan responded quickly. I am sorry that you feel the way you do. Next time I will play the part of Lou Holtz. Let see. It should go something like this: Man I am so glad we were able to squeak out this win. I guess we were just lucky. Does that make you feel better? I don't know what else to do. You gave your thoughts and I gave mine.

A decent assessment. I don't completely agree though. Except for the drive in the 3rd quarter that put Fairview within 4, I don't think anyone was ever nervous from Milan about this game. Even with Milan looking out of sync at times, the game seemed in control. Don't forget, Fairview's 1st score was on a botched on side kick in the 1st quarter. I think the ball went a total of 1 yard. Fairview played great, but honestly the game was in hand. I don't mean that we could have played the sophomores early or anything, but we were able to keep them at bay. Fairview was a good team for sure, but I think it was obvious that Milan was the superior team last night.

I think you meant to say that it is not like Milan to have that many penalties. We only turned it over once.

I would say Milan not being in sync had more to do with all of the penalties they had. It seemed every time they would get a big play on offense or defense, we would get flagged. Now, I am not saying that they were bad calls so please don't misunderstand. I am sure they were legit, but when you make those types of mistakes it makes it very difficult to get in a rhythm.

Balance means we can do both. We run well and pass well. We mix it up. We also run and pass out of the same formations. Also, we don't have to ask Westview anything. We know Camden pretty well. And I never said the Lions would not be ready. It is the quarter finals. It would be very sad if your team was not ready for a quarter final game. I just know I have heard this same talk over the last few years. This may very well be your best team. I hope it is, but it is not the 1st time I have heard that comment. Now, I am not going to get into a war of words with you, but please don't reply to my comment in an arrogant way like you know something that Milan fans don't know. It will be a very physical game, and I believe Milan wins.

We did have a couple of injuries. Only one is potentially serious. One young man was taken to the hospital by ambulance. I am hearing that it is just precautionary though. We pray that this young man is o.k.

Obviously I am a Milan fan. Therefore I may be a bit biased, but I think Milan comes out with a huge win next week. Milan's D will be ready for Camden. Milan also has more balance on the offensive side of the ball. Milan pulls out a 10 point win against the Lions.

Milan total yards 270 and Fairview 147 yards. Fairview had 83 in the 1st and 64 in the 2nd.

Milan has been flagged a total of 14 times in this game. Very uncharacteristic. Good game Fairview. Milan will enjoy this for a day and then it is time to get ready for Camden.

Milan has been flagged 11 times in this game. Very uncharacteristic for Milan. They lined up in the neutral zone 3 times. I can't believe we can be up by this score playing this poorly penalty wise. Oh, as I am typing this, we get another one. Penalty #12 WOW!!!

I think the dagger has been delivered. Milan scores again. Milan player is injured on the play. The ambulance is on the field. They are saying it is for precautionary reasons. 38-20 MIlan after about a 25 minute delay due to the injury.

An unsuccessful on side kick. It went about a yard. lol I liked the call but it failed. We had them 3rd down and 10 then back to back off sides set up a touchdown pass. 7-7

Well that 1st TD was way too easy for Milan. Fairview had better find a way to rebound. They had also better find a way to block Christian Coleman or it will be a mercy rule game early on. 7-0 Milan early in the 1st quarter.

Sorry but I will be in Milan. Hopefully watching a huge Bulldawg win. If we both win then I will be in Camden next week.
