  1. But then they would be one of the smallest 5A. I think they will still be 4A. They may want 5A or have an option but that I would assume how close they are within the count spread ( allow a certain amount over the set figures) due to them being so close to 4A and 5A, just my opinion. I don't see 5A that much different when it's playoff time, as Greenville and Elizabethton is usually as good as or better than many 5A the way I see it
  2. I hope that's good news. If it were transfers from Oak Ridge and Clinton that might have more stock. Not sure CCHS has a good feeder program like AC. I firmly believe talent is made early. But regardless, any transfer is good news.
  3. I am old fashion, I still like souse meat. But that's true.
  4. They have built a great program and envious atmosphere of the greatest show on turf. 2022 State Champions. You know what they say; build it and they will come.
  5. From my understanding but this could have changed; but Anderson County only allows VIP or those exclusively invited. Many Thanks to Coach Gillum I was always invited to attend during before and after game. But it sure wasn't because I had great coaching skills to say the least; I always punt, lol. Pretty sure most fans could ask and get VIP. Anderson County just has that type of Loving environment.
  6. Thanks OlHickory! Nearly half games are stepping up above 4A. Should be a Great year for the Mavs. Can't wait! Looking forward to seeing those young Mavs grow up quickly with that schedule. Who knows this year may be the year 5A and 6A may grow a bit too, playing the Mavs!
  7. Going to be an exciting 2024 year and interested in what type game plan that AC will use based on the Mavs schedule.? Play action? Ground and pound the Ariel assault ? With the defense coach Lambert, I think the Mavs have a lot options on offense this year to work with.
  8. Simply just too far to travel, day in day out.
  9. Yeah AC will definitely take incoming talent. Should be looking good for AC 2024, and now even better. But no matter what we say t's going to be about good preparation from coaching and players., as AC begins another run.
  10. Yeah it's hard to compete when it is the wild West. Big get bigger. A good coach will have to work harder and that will be hard to find. But the way everything is going, I think it was inevitable.
  11. Yeah I think AC has really grown over the years too. If AC does get the QB transfer it could be a good thing, especially since CC used a similar system. AC still had pretty good option in Cody Miller.
  12. Well I certainly hope so. AC has an open door policy and welcome all of CCHS players, Clinton and Oak Ridge!
  13. Now that makes more sense when it's put that way. I am sure he was curious too. But they would have needed to offer more than just money. Davey is about winning I am sure he was looking at the future talent opportunities and since his son is preparing for High School I am sure he was taking that into consideration. Grace is usually structured for the Ariel attack that was a positive and that is probably what finally sold Grace on the price brothers. That particular conference and Region IMO has some good chances to get a Gold Ball too. To me that's a good selling point. Well Grace missed out on a well rounded solid football coach and staff.
  14. Not saying your wrong and I don't say falsehoods. What I publishe is based on common senses, not necessarily facts just the process of elimination. The only thing I didn't say was they may have been looking for a better spot for John David's career. Other than that I didn't see it as a good move to 3-7 rebuild. Of course I have no idea if they have a good feeder program and opportunity for transfers. But typically the bigger school your kid excel in the better chance for good ratings and college prospects. Bigger pond bigger fish. Just my opinion.
  15. Well apparently you know more than I do. I would not think you win a Gold ball than turn around and go to Grace in a heartbeat. Where You help build a winning atmosphere where the crowds of fans are some of the best. You have one of the best weight rooms in the area; good alumni and support. (And what take the fireworks with you,) Drop everything and start all over again. Just doesn't even make common sense. But I guess you know more than I do based on those points.
  16. Again Congratulations to AC Jamie Chadwell with a perfect season an I predict as upset over Oregon.
  17. Oh that was not an option to even consider. If he really wanted he could be assisting a New Year's Bowl with Jamie and brother. No doubt he will be attending the Liberty game
  18. That a pretty darn long way! It's pretty hard for a family to make that journey especially with work and many other things. Just wouldn't be worth it. In fact if AC were not right off the exit that would be pretty hard too. I know Davey looked all over the area Powell, Oak Ridge before settling in at AC. One big reason was it is right next to his dad's job and right off interstate.
  19. AC looks for QB that meet that high flying Ariel assault; not many can qualify. Dual QB threat has not been an option for a few years and it's good because once a QB gets hurt this can change the whole game plan and season. I think Martin was the most recent and last dual threat QB.
  20. Rumors CCHS losing Coach's Price twins to Grace Christian Academy,?
  21. Nothing liget was what I was meaning. Hersa is not legit. And unless you or I were there, it probably not good spreading two year old rumors. The Mavs have never cadoned activities like that. Hypothetically let's say it were true, I would want to believe they punished those involved. But it's apparently not recurring, if it ever happened in the first place. I think we can put this to rest. It's just not the overall culture of a Maverick.
