  1. He would still have to move to Lenoir City to be eligible. Blance will most likely be back at Webb or stay at Hardin Valley! He probably won't participate in Hardin Valley workouts or practice because he wants to go back to Webb where is brother just won the Mr. Football Award. If he participates in practice or workouts at HVA, he wouldn't be eligible. This probably won't be settled until next summer when Webb makes a decision on letting him come back!! Until then rumors will be rumors!!
  2. WHO CARES?? Just kidding! One program is on a spiral downward quickly and one is trying to turn around years of football frustration. I would not have said this 4 weeks ago but today I'm saying Campbell Co pulls out a close one! This is the only game Clinton has left that will keep them from 0-10! I knew Clinton was going to be down but not this down. Good luck Dragons!
  3. 92 you would have to be really old school. This is why schools are able to "recruit". It's why Clinton got the Chapman kid last year and AC gets a bunch of Campbell Co. kids over the years. It is also why it is next to impossible to turn a losing program around. ie. Karns and Campbell County. No offense to these teams! No one wants to lose and be a part of a losing program. They would rather go somewhere else and be a part of a winning team or not play at all. Maybe the athlete says that the basketball team is winning some games and the practices aren't near as hard so I think I will just not play for the hard practicing, losing football team. Happens every day!! Alot of kids are missing out on a great life learning and fun experience because they are so arrogant that they are afraid they are going to lose. If enough of those kids would give it a try, they could turn a program around. Sorry for the rant! When I played many years ago we played for the love of playing. We worked our butts off to win and gave it our best every day. Today's kids are too selfish! So are most of their parents. It's all about what I can get out of it and not what I can give back and maybe make a difference in a program and the school and even others around me. Sorry again!
  4. Going to be a great high school football game! Powell 35 AC 28
  5. I agree with you watermaker! LC has some great kids and some great parents but politics is heavy. Coach White was a very good coach that won some games and even took a team to the second round of the playoffs in 2004 and beat a very good Fulton team during the season. (I think that's the right year) Then LC got moved up in classification and the talent dropped off and they haven't been able to win since. Coaches get blamed for a lot that they have no control over. With that being said, is was time for Coach White to leave and he ended up with a great opportunity. The best thing that has happened to that program is the middle school program and Coach Wampler is doing a great job with that. But a middle school "state" championship doesn't mean a lot beyond the kids in the program and their families and community. It doesn't translate into high school wins, especially when their region is probably the toughest in the state. Coach Z and Whilhite are solid coaches and good men and I wish them and LC luck. I think LC pulls this one out tonight. By the way, why do people have to start attacking each other on here. You knock someone for spelling but yet you have errors on your post. Glass houses people!!
  6. Up 27 points with 9 minutes left and AC puts in starters and throws the ball for another touchdown. I really think alot of Coach Gillum but was this really necessary? Why run the score up? Give the young guys some playing time so that next year people won't run the score up on you with a brand new young QB. Clinton is going to pay this year for running the score up on people! Karma people, Karma!! AC did look good!
  7. Seriously, I have no dog in this fight but if Kerr was such a popular choice he would be head coach at AC. With that being said, Shattuck is not leaving any time soon and Josh could work his way into the position some day. He does have experience and he is an AC alum. Herrell would be the only other option and he is backing out of it to focus on Asst. Principal and AD. Most of the staff are not certified teachers. So, Shattuck needs to keep putting a good product on the field, continue to instill more discipline on and off the field and continue to build the support with the Dragon fans and he can stay until he retires. He also needs to make sure he surrounds himself with good coaches that aren't concerned with just X's and O's but also care about the kids and community. I beleive he just got rid of one of those last spring. Just my two cents worth!! As a bonus, Clinton should not overlook Hardin Valley this week. I'm looking for a great hard fought game from both! AFter the beating they gave HVA last year, HVA is seeking revenge and Clinton may be thinking that HVA is the same team as last year. Should be a dandy!
  8. Someone from Karns told me that #3 was ejected from Friday nights game. If refs ejected him, he is out for a game or two. What's the word?? Clinton gets the big 6'6" player back for Friday nights game. What position does he play? Is he the real deal or a just a big ole boy trying to play a little football. With that size, he could get some college looks.
  9. Clinton should breeze by Karns this week. Other than the Pyke kid, which I hate to hear, are the Dragons healthy going into Karns? I know they have now lost Pyke and Ambrose and with little depth that is hard to take.
