  1. Indeed and why pit 1 group against the other. Football is about all of it--everybody that performs that night from the colors, ntl anthem, cheerleaders, band, etc. Everybody has their ability in 1 area or the other and "fall" wouldn't be "fall" without the entire group. As for the kicker, come on, he's trying and is not "bad". Y'all need to quit slurring the kids. Kids are kids and they may say stuff like that but adults need to be adults.
  2. Whatever!!! sounds like an Elvis story to me. The King is gone but Rock and Roll lives on!!!
  3. Aint that the truth!!! It's futile it seems to think it will ever change but we can only hope. I think it is sad that ppl don't want to see our boys do as well, even better than the past. If they hung on to the past with NFL teams the way they do with our highschool team there wouldn't be any need to continue watching. I hate to say it cause it'll get me slammed but who is Jeff??? Don't remember him nor all the past that ppl are hanging on to. Of course I've heard the stories but guess what, stories are all that's left--I doubt any of our current boys have any first hand knowledge of the past. I go to see the 2011 team play, last year I went to see the 2010 team and so on. Same with our team, it's not back to the future here they are playing for the day not yesterday!
  4. I think you missed the point. We may not have any big time players but you gotta pick something and stick with it long enough to get the ball down the field. Everybody keeps talking about building--you can't start building and everytime something looks a little better or messes up a little tear it apart and start over--esp at game time. And you can't be for real if you think it was a good move to scrimmage a team completely outa our league---I think the end result answers that question.
  5. Well said but big time players don't really get a chance here. 1 goes in for 1 play he's pulled out and another put in. It seems as though those that prove they can do something have to keep proving it while they continue to "look" for something better. IMO we do entirely too much of that in a game. The boys never get a feeling for where they are---as soon as they get in the groove of what the other team is up to they are pulled out not so we can try something new. No so we can try the same thing with a different person. Trying to beat the man ended up getting a major portion of our boys hurt so that we were on the bottom before we ever got started this year. Our players need support from the community--it isn't their fault that the system is flawed but every year they pay the price.
  6. Did you see the game last year????
  7. I will second every bit of that!!! It is sad. I am so confused as to why it has to be this way. Was hoping it was just a lot of negative under current last year but when I sat with a new crowd Friday night and the general talk was this is the same thing as last year--DO SOMETHING new my heart sank for the boys.
  8. Couldn't have said it better. Our poor coaches don't have a chance. There is so much ego on here that I'd hate to be them having to deal with it. I don't think the posters see what they say looks like pure ego and ignorance. If they wanted to win they would shut up and let the coaches coach and be happy for the coaches that they have the experience they have. But no they have to be like a bunch of girls saying well he thinks he's somebody cause he played for so and so but look he can't coach. Thats why I said I'd like to see this imaginary team they all speak of on here---the 1 from Oz that they all played on. I support the coaches if for nothing else putting up with all the bologna they deal with.
  9. Just to make myself clear—I totally support the kids on this team. I do not support the people that talk negative about kids period. I have not made any negative remarks about any player on this board ever. I did state the facts about the ball moving and it does not matter if we were playing against the waterboy(which somebody said we did in the Franklin and Tullahoma games)—the ball moved. You however seemed to feel it necessary to point that we were playing against 2nd and 3rd string not sure why that matters since we have played against 2nd and 3rd string all season. People on here and public blamed the Jr QB for the loss of Coffee and Shelbyville---I haven’t seen him play until those few minutes the other night then ppl start negative talk. I just don’t get what the deal is. It seems to be personal issues to me because I haven’t seen any good reason for any of the negative talk on here about any of the players---the Jr QB, Northcutt, Robinson,Thrower—any of them yall talk smack about. There is not a logical reason for it! I do support these kids or I wouldn't bother going to the games!
  10. Couldn't agree with you more---lots of negative vibes going and our team is measured on terms of NFL.
  11. Indeed the Soph replaced the Jr and it was no better nor was replacing the Jr. with the Sr. so lets see that makes it seem that the QB never was the problem. Hum whats up with that? why all the opinions there?? Everybody on here said after the Coffee and Shelbyville game it was the QB then after all that got changed around it still got no better. So to quote Ven Gosdin who you gonna blame it on this time???
  12. No offense but it's not really crisis mode it's just WARREN CO. mode---doesn't matter who or when this is the same stuff you read on here all the time. You mean it's not that way in every county??? Yall don't slam the coaches and say if my kid was in or if my neighbors kid was in it would have went down this way. Seriously I'd love to see these boys pull a team of their ppl together and watch that game. I know it would be AWSOME!!!
  13. Disclaimer: I do not have a child on the team and you all have made it obvious that this is a board to comment on how well MY KID is or the 1 kid I want to root for. I AM A MERE SPECTATOR! Warren is not behind it’s team it’s behind who they like period and if a kid has a parent that another doesn’t like well then that kid shouldn’t be playing or starting for sure---Now anybody can read what yall write and deduce that! I want to comment on what’s been said so far. If we played the starters we have now we would have had a better season---ok have you been watching these games or do you just not recall how it all went down?? Dekalb , Coffee and Shelbyville are the only games this didn’t happen. Dekalb we won, Shelbyville we lost but not near as bad as we did to Franklin and I’d like to add Shelbyville has kicked butt this season and no way we could beat them even if our coaches played! Coffee was the most messed up case I’ve ever seen. They tried everything in that game the QB threw 1 pik and got pulled and replaced by a QB that threw 4 piks???? And everybody tooted their horns on that. Then the White Co game we won and SORRY folks but only on a technicality---We really didn’t win that game. From then on it’s been the same thing every week and yall get on here and toot and complain and praise this 1 and blame that 1. Get over yourselves!! You are adults and your days are over---quit trying to re-live your days thru these kids. Friday night I know I was not the only person to see it. The last 7 minutes of the game that kid moved the ball ½ the distance in about 2 minutes of play that it took us 3 quarter to move the ball—I think the paper said 80ish yards in the 1st 3 qtrs and 40’s in the last. I don’t understand where yall are coming from---do you want us to win or do you just want to brag about what you see but nobody else sees? Yes people see that this is not the place to bring their kids for athletics—who would want their kid in that mess of my kids better and deserves to play and couldn’t push a flea down(just an example of how yall don’t see this mess). It’s obvious to others on here how messed up it is—just look at what White Co had to say and now Rhea Co sees it. Take the blinders off.
  14. For what it's worth here's an opinion. I think that a true player is a player because of his respect for the game, school, community and PARENTS. The true player therefore is not being influenced by a negative parent. The true player has supportive parent/family/friends that support them and the TEAM! And you have established in your post that the coaches are doing their part. My opnion: Support the boys, quit kicking them down and move this team ahead! I don't have a kid on this team but I have been on teams myself and know that as a kid it doesn't take much to make your spirit drop. Some of these kids are working hard and scared to death they are going let the people that count on them down and be talked about horribly. They were never allowed to make any mistakes to learn from---each mistake has been analyzed publically and very critically. Step back and say is this the first time or is there a pattern---if so then maybe it should be looked at. I don't know about you but if I had multiple bosses changing things up on me I'd be a little frustrated. They have new coaches, they have new blood on the team, they have new people complaining about this and that. They are 16 and 17 years old. We can't expect them to sort it all out and be perfect in the end. Seriously I don't think they take all they take just to look pretty and be talked about.
  15. Thank you for giving respect to those that give it their all!!! Speaking of these offers did you happen to watch 60 minutes last night??? How about that--- no offers there either but he went to the super bowl.
