I agree with you 100% jabbo unfortunately the city of Fayetteville has always marched to their own drummer and do what they want and worry about the consequences later. We will have to watch and see how this plays out, but I believe from what I've read and heard O'Connor is staying at Giles.

My dad was stationed at Hickman AFB and we visited the Arizona Memorial twice. A very somber feeling came over us. Brave men gave their lives. I thank God everyday for the ones that gave their lives and the ones that have placed themselves in harms way for our freedom. Thanks for sharing.

Well unfortunately I believe he is in his second or third year of a five year deal. This was his first year of head coaching which wasn't much better than his broadcasting. LOL. 4-6.

Well I will have to say Alcoa, Maryville and Greenville. I was very impressed with Greenville. They looked very good. Honorable mention has to go out to Smyrna, Ensworth and Webb.

Congratulations to Maryville. I caught some flack earlier about my initial assessment of the game. I wasn't trying to make excuses. Y'all won bottom line. Poor execution cost the bulldogs. I do find it funny that the Maryville fans keep bringing up that their starting QB wasn't playing the second half but when Smyrna fans try and bring up the fact that the bulldogs didn't have their starting LBs in the game they say that's football. That's part of the game. Its all part of the game. Poor execution. Bad calls. Injuries. You can speculate what might have been all you want . The bottom line is Maryville won. Be glad and happy for your young men. Once again a big shout out for #45. A very good RB. Also you are very wrong in your whining about MVP. The punter should have been your MVP. Definitely had the biggest impact in the game. IMO.

Wow. Someone has their panties in a wad. Lol. I said he could have started and he could have. He had the abilities to start. That's a fact. I never said he should have started. Big difference in SHOULD HAVE and could have. I never said he was better. I did say he had better field of vision and better timing. The fact that Pitt was faster and a senior could have been that difference. I'm not sure. I never asked. The fact that he started tells me that the coaches( which when its all said and done is all that matters) saw something. The fact that Pitt set many passing records has as much to do with his great receivers and the absence of a running game as anything. I'm definitely not going to come on a public forum and try and discredit a young man. He had an awesome career and I am very proud of him. That was never my intentions. My statements were to someone that asked about the talent punk had to work with next year. I think he will be pleased. In the end we are Falcon fans and need to cheer these young men on. Looking forward to starting a new era in Falcon football. GO FALCONS!!!!!

What I said was that he could have started and yes I think he has better field of vision and better timing. I'm not or didn't say anything about Pitts heart. I don't think anybody could question him giving his all. You either haven't seen the young QB or are biased for other reasons. I have watched practices and 7 on 7 matches and made these observations. We will see what he has next year. Maybe I'm right and maybe I'm wrong. Time will tell.

Well first and foremost congratulations to Maryville. This was the first time I've seen Maryville play and I was impressed. I truly believe Meadows was missed in this game. Robinette not playing for Maryville is the equal to meadows not playing for Smyrna. I hated that penalty being called on the 4th down. Momentum had changed hands and Smyrna was driving and that was a ridiculous call. It had no bearing on the play and the ref had already been too involved in the game up to that point. He was calling motion before the guys were even set. Just a shame he called it at that particular time. I know one bad call shouldn't cost you a game, but IMO it certainly changed the game. There were other factors on both sides that contributed to the game. Just didn't like the call and Smyrna seemed to be shell shocked when they came out for that field goal. I'd also like to give a shout out to #45. He is a special RB. Once again congratulations Maryville on a well deserved win.

Originally from Lincoln County. Head coach at Giles Co. Lead them to a 4A State Championship last year.

They will be pleased with the talent. They have the District leading receiver back. A LB that lead the team in tackles the last 2 years. 20+ juniors about half that have experience. A QB that in my opinion could have started last year. Not as fast but better field of vision and timing. Looking for good things for the Falcons.

Not saying that was the reason or making excuses. Definitely had to be a contributing factor though.

Well I'm not a Smyrna fan except in this years playoffs, but I believe the biggest difference would be the ooz players that play for Alcoa. That and classification. Before anyone starts, I'm not saying their doing anything wrong, I'm just saying that maybe they need to be in with the schools that recruit. They still might dominate them, but I think the road would be more challenging for them.

Smyrna turned the ball over 5 times. I think. That will get you beat 90% of the time.
