  1. Tough week for a couple of Chattaboogie teams: Baylor 1 Ensworth 3 GPS 0 Father Ryan 1
  2. I totally agree and appreciate the fact that ND, CPA and others play very strong schedules! It is amusing to see teams and fans brag on their undefeated and/or dominant teams and check their schedules to see the "powder puff" teams they play!!
  3. Looks like Chattcat is a newbie!
  4. Don't know how many teams are in A/AA, but if 2 teams with losing records are in the #4 and #7 spots respectively, doesn't say much for the current Eurosportscoreboard rankings. I know for a fact the CPA doesn't have the strength of their last year's team as they are quite young.
  5. All good stuff but back to posting scores:..... Ensworth 3 Harpeth 0 Father Ryan 3 Franklin 3 Harpeth Hall 4 Brentwood Academy 0 Independence 3 Centennial 0
  6. 9-3-13 Ensworth 4 CPA 0 Harpeth Hall 3 JPII 1 Centennial 4 BA 3
  7. Cute how Booger used his little "country boy" words. For a Mid TN top ten, I guess I would go with: 1. Franklin 2. Ravenwood 3. Brentwood 4. Father Ryan 5. Harpeth Hall 6. Independence 7. Siegel 8. Clarksville 9. Hendersonville 10. Brentwood Academy As 95GSoccer demonstrated in a post above, don't see many teams capable of keeping up with Franklin this year.
  8. I love reading all the chatter on these forums regarding the best Chattanooga area teams but would be very interested in how folks compare these teams to some of the middle Tennessee teams such as, Franklin, Brentwood, Ravenwood, Father Ryan, Harpeth Hall, etc.
  9. August 15 Franklin 1 Ensworth 1
  10. Ensworth 3 Independence 1 - Scrimmage
  11. Well, looks like another great year for the Middle Tennessee teams to dominate in High School girls soccer!! Seriously, I am looking forward to another fun fall and hopefully some great match-ups!
  12. As the father of daughters that have won Div 3, Div 2 and Div 1 Championships, I know that ALL of the championships are important to the girls, the parents, coaches and teammates. A Championship is a Championship. You are the best at that level and congratulations are in order. The competition rises as you proceed through the ranks and Div 1 has been amazing for the past few years. I wish you success, Booger, as you venture into new territory! It should be a fun ride!!
  13. Actually, soccerincollege is a fairly good barometer to measure the abilities of teams in this state and around the country. Gotsoccer.com ranks teams based primarily on tournament points and soccerincollege.com ranks teams based upon their total schedule (tournaments, league play and other games). A decent team can play in a smalltime, local tournament and win and receive more "points" than a superior team that plays in the National or Premier League against the Country's top talent and loses by a goal or so. A team that plays major tournaments in Washington, DC, Raleigh, Disney, Las Vegas, etc. (with dozens of college coaches in attendance) but does not reach the semifinals or finals gets no points in Gotsoccer.com but can still be ranked as one of the top teams in the nation in soccerincollege. That being said, I wish the ERFC Evolution 97 team the best of luck this season!
  14. They are also ranked 10th in the State in their age group and 270th in the country!! Very adequate! Good luck this year!
  15. I'm just glad we have 2 of the Brentwood stars on our travel team! High School ball doesn't crank back up until August 2013 so I guess we'll wait until then to see who is ranked where.
  16. Yep. There are several high school coaches throughout the state that also assist with travel teams. It is my understanding that a high school coach can also be a part of a travel team as long as none of the high school players for that coach are on such travel team. Regarding the ECNL issue, I know of 1 player in the Middle Tennessee area that decided to play ECNL in the fall as a guest player and forego high school ball.
  17. Not being cocky at all. Just making a pleasant observation. Several girls from these teams are all on the same travel team together (along with one of the coaches) and it is exciting to see them all excel. Travel ball is cranking up, and we'll have to wait until next year to see how the Knoxville and Chattanooga teams perform at the high school level. However, I wouldn't bet against Middle Tennessee who will probably be in the same position next year!!

  19. Looks like Middle Tennesse dominated ALL Classes! AAA - Brentwood A/AA - CPA Div II/A - University School Div II/AA - Father Ryan
  20. That is awesome news and thanks for the insight. I know they were looking to get away from the Southeast Region as that would definitely be a conflict but the Midwest Region would be workable!
  21. There is a good chance the Tennessee Soccer Club (which is the mergerr of TNFC and Brentwood) will apply for ECNL this year. If accepted, it would definitely impact the schools mentioned in my former post which have a very strong presence in girls High School soccer in Middle Tennessee.
  22. Back on topic.... It is sad regarding kids having to pick between Club and High School ball but if a kid wants to play at the next level (and possibly beyond), club is where you have to be. Up til now, girls have been able to do both in Tennessee (allowing them to play High School in the fall and Club for the rest of the year). However, this will probably change in the near future. This policy (of choosing 1 or the other) will be coming to Tennessee soon. I know in the Midddle TN area, there are already concerns from players, parents, coaches and schools (like Franklin, Ravenwood, Brentwood and several private schools) on what would happen in this scenario. It will not be a happy scene!

Heard Father Ryan had to forfeit some early games for recruiting violations. Anyone else hear about this?
