  1. first of all, everyone that wrote on here underestimated cg, second no one ever said anything about hittin too hard on the field... third if you wanna talk about getting screwed on calls look at the penalties this game and last cg had the same if not more against onieda and a lot more against sg... next onieda's coach came up to us after the game and said we had a very hardworking football team... cg earned the win, i know all of you all underestimated cg, onieda's players didnt even talk anywhere near the smack you all have... if you want to talk about pride, class, and character... get some yourself first
  2. [quote name='nghs45' date='Oct 10 2006 - 09:07 AM' post='826181767 THIS FRIDAY CGHS GOES TO NORTH GREENE TO FACEOFF AT 7:30 IM SAYING THAT CG WILL COME AWAY WITH THE WIN B/C EVERYGAME THEY'RE GETTING BETTER AND GROWING TOGETHER AS A FAMILY B/C ON THE FIELD OF BATTLE THTAS ALL YOU GOT IS YOUR TEAMMATES/YOUR FAMILY. CG IS STARTING TO COME TOGETHER AND PLAY AND THAT WHAT WE WILL HAVE TO DO TOO GET TO THE PLAYOFFS THIS YEAR.
  3. tom. nights game night.. me and some other guys decided that we're gonna go on down there for the game and support our guys... but from what i heard today the qb has a cannon and their running back is good.... so its gonna be about the pressure from the defense... and i agree with shotdoc.. where this game is gonna be so intense .. players wearing down will play a factor so another factor will be conditioning but good luck to bother teams but im goin with panthers still.. i also think this will be high scoring... yes the d is awesome but both teams can air up the ball and that can run into some points for bother teams CG-35 HV- 28
  4. this game is gonna be awesome guys Ill be there for sure... probly wont make it home that night haha cuz thats a trip up there but i cant talk alot about this game cuz i dont know anything aobut happy valley i read the other posts and most of u guys are pullin for the panthers..... cept hvwarrior but he seems a little over confident..... let the score talk for ya.... but Im gonna go with everyone one the score and put cg on top.... give me some info and ill look at some stats and see if i cant get some more input on this game.... Panther Pride
  5. This is the game about everyone who watches football in Claiborne county is waiting for.... i went to the CG-CD game... and if Brad Beason has another night light that and CG passes as good as usual then CG wont have to many problems. there is goin to be a lot of emotion played in this game... I know CG has a lot of seniors who have been waiting for this game for a long time... ill definately be at this one so far i havent missed a gap game yet.. and dont plan on it.... but i have to go with gap on this one because even if these teams are evenly matched... CG's seniors are gonna stick it to them and i look for sophmores brad beason and jake shipley to do very well... good luck to both teams i know this one will be remembered for a while.. CG-20 Claiborne-14
  6. good job panthers.... you guys were right... you said it would come down to the d and when i found out chad hall was gonna be out i was a little scared but those lineman did exactly what they were suppose to the executed and thats what you have to do in games where one or two plays can make the difference... i asked about their offense and that fullback was a beast but one player can't win a football game.. you have to have a team and the panthers are really coming together.... it was lower scoring than i thought but its hard to score when the defense is goin at it that strong... both teams wanted it especially Laws... but panthers wanted it a little more and they came out with a big win... gotta wait 2 weeks but then... CG vs. CD
  7. i gotta go with my boys from cumberland gap on this one.... one thing i think they'll be really good at this year is being ready to play... if you seen the rutledge game at first it was back and fourth but cumberland gap wasnt about to back down off anything... as long as they are ready then this is gonna be a hardfought but a well earned win.... they'll have to earn what they'll get cuz i agree totally with shotdoc its gonna come down to defense.. it'll be exciting to watch and see what clemons does... especially after that blow he delivered to that rutledge reciever right before halftime... if you saw the game you know exactly what i'm talken about.... whats some information on south greens offense... i dont know much about them when i find out more i'll give my prediction
  8. the finale score was 32-14.... better than i predicted.... great game to Rutledge but it seemed like towards the end of the 3rd they had gotten all they wanted from those Gap boys.... the gap started to pick up everything... a great job to #7 hassler, #4 clemons, and #32 hester these boys got it done tonight on defense i think one of them had something to do with everyplay these guys were hungry looking for blood and they had some awesome hits... running back brad beason really stepped up and scored on the first drive on a pass from hoskins and had some pretty good runs at the end to get them a first to run out the clock.... this win was a team effort for the gap it seemed like everyone did what they were suppose to and they deserved it without question
  9. im dont remember what the final score was but like i said Cumberland Gap had a mission and that did just what needed to be done.... they did extremly well tonight doin whatever it took and making plays when it counted...... gotta give probs to clemons for deliviering the blow at the end of the secound half awesome hit
  10. a lot of people said before the Cumberland Gap - Coalfield game that CG would be stepped on predicting thier running back to have over 200 yard and for them to win by 30 but after the first half Cumberland Gap showed that they werent anything to joke with.... those boys gave them a fight up front and wouldnt back down CG came up a few playes short... I think that Rutledge shouldnt underestimate them for one sec.... this isnt what you seen last year these boys have business to take care of and i think that that's exactly what they'll do
  11. I think that with the experience that some of the Gap's players have... that they will be able to stop what rutledge throws at them..... the gap has gotten bigger stronger and faster they've all worked thier tails off this summer and after what i saw at the coalfield game i think they will take care of business at rutledge..... they'll contain on the run and will look for clemons to make some plays but in the end i got gap 30 rutledge 17
  12. Cumberland Gap is looking like the front runner's so far and they show no signs of slowing down now being 5-0 after beating Claiborne by 10, starting to emerge from this team are the two seniors Andrew Fultz and Javan Crockett. Both can light it up if left open both having 22 and 23 on Fridays game and have scored in double digets in almost all games so far. From what I seen Friday against Claiborne Andrew FUltz know how to finish on the fast break and the drive, having several +1 attemps and converting. Thats what it taked to win ball games and this whole team is doing just that.
  13. The Cumberland Gap Panther's have started out 5-0 and so far I've seen all their games and they can definatley play some ball they take oun Chuckey Doak tonight and I've very anxious to see how A.J. Fultz performs. In there win friday over the Claiborne Bulldogs seniors Javan Crockett and Andrew Fults took care of business having 23 and 22 apiece, this team hustles and shows leadership. With the big man A.J. down low and Fultz shooting as he has been I dont think they will have any problem taking care of Chuckey Doak.
