  1. I got Ridgeway by two scores. Jackson Northside had to battle a tough Dyer team to a close win last week, while Ridgeway smashed Hardin in a little bit more impressive manner than Northside did a few weeks earlier. This will be a close game with big plays coming from both offenses. Game of the Year right here...
  2. Yes there was! Sam Craft connected to Jarque Chatman in the second quarter with under 2 minutes left from inside their own 20 to go up 13-7 at the half. Are you serious, DHSFB64? I get being a fan, but what's this crazy typing about... The facemask from 15 on Craigmont's 54 was very legitimate, and so was the block in the back call on one of DC's players. The holding penalties are always an iffy part of the game, though. Craigmont was on the good end of the holding calls. DC's #1 is a stud. He dominate both sides of the ball that night. DC's qb was also lights out. Good win for those guys. Craigmont had its chances, but blew them. Getting inside the 20 and not scoring has been their fault all year. For some reason, they had a hard time all year punching it in...
  3. What about the players that live in Craigmont's district that play in other places, Trojan? Some of your players live in that district. Yet there is never a word said from the people at Craigmont to these other schools. You even said yourself it's players getting kicked off Millington's team that Craigmont is using. So basically what you guys are doing is black listing players you don't even have on your team from playing anywhere else. It sounds like sour grapes. Sorry for getting off topic, TS but this stuff always happens. This thread was supposed to be about Craigmont/Dyer, and it was ruined by mindless, fruitless complaints from certain people that can't get over things...
  4. This is gonna be a real good donnybrook for sure. I'll go with White Station in a close affair...
  5. The game is dependent on how proficient Arlington's offense is. Wooddale's run game will kill clock, and Arlington can't waste any time or plays. If they can get their offense rolling, Arlington wins by a score...
  6. The way Craigmont is playing football right now, it's going to be very difficult for any team to beat them. Dyer county is a solid team with good players, but they simply don't match up well against the Chiefs. If the Chiefs have their football heads on, it's a 3 score difference in their favor. If they make mistakes, they could end up on the wrong end of the scoreboard...
  7. This is a tough call, but it's Craigmont's game to lose. If their offense doesn't turn it over and their defense stops the pass, their isn't anything Arlington can do to win. Arlington is putting up points based on a very effective passing attack. Craigmont's secondary will be tested like they were against Briarcrest. Should be a great game.
  8. New week and new game. Briarcrest is looking awfully impressive each growing week. Their QB is one of the best playing this season, and their line is well coached. CBHS is also looking pretty solid. How does everyone see this one playing out? *EDIT* Wrong forum! Can an admin move this to the Division II forum, please?
  9. Well, another week and another game. Ridgeway is looking awfully good with there weapons at every position and there salty defense. Wooddale is no slouch, though. What do you guys think?
  10. District Games: Ridgeway over Wooddale 28-14 Mitchell over East by 3 scores Arlington over Cordova 24-17 Germantown over Southwind by a touchdown Non-district Games: Whitehaven over Sheffield by 2 scores CBHS over ECS 26-10
  11. Nice little write up in the paper this morning. This is the GAME OF THE WEEK.
  12. This is a big match-up of the undefeated Briarcrest vs the undefeated Craigmont. Both teams are coming off good, yet easy wins, and hopefully all the players for both teams are healthy. This is going to be a really good game. Who do you guys have winning and why?
  13. I think it will Millington/Craigmont at the #1 & #2 spots. It will be decided week 9...
  14. That's a fair enough point in general. However, the Briarcrest/Kingsbury game showed a lot from both teams. That game tells quite a bit...
  15. From the few contacts I have a Craigmont, he is trying to move into the district because he wasn't allowed to play at Millington. Of course the kid wants to still be playing football where he was, but it's a simple matter of he can't. I'd hate to be in his position; can't play at Millington and can't move his family...
  16. Get your facts straight, Trojan. The reason #88 was on the sideline is because he still goes to Millington. What's wrong with being a ball boy? If you would have come to other games, you would have seen and heard M.H.'s named called with number 27. The home jersey for M.H. is damaged so he took a freshmans jersey for the game. Come to the away game and you will see the same thing; M.H. will be wearing 27 and #88 will be the ball boy until he is cleared. You're right on the smoking thing. That should be changed...
  17. Craigmont put up 33 and 56 on very bad teams. They put up only 21 against Kingsbury (Brentwood, MUS, and Briaircrest scored 30+ on Kingsbury). Craigmont still has a lot to prove. Cordova is always at least well coached... A bad Houston (though they have a solid o-line) put up 17 on Ridgeway. A solid Corrieville can score a little more...
  18. I personally played against Orey, and he was quite talented. We held him too just at 100 yards during my junior year when we had a stout defense and a playoff season. However, from all indications of word of mouth, Patrick was two steps up. I only ever met Patrick. I never had the honor to challenge him.
  19. My pics: Collierville 26 vs Ridgeway 21 - Collierville holds off a late surge from a strong Ridgway CBHS 27 vs Whitehave 14 - CBHS is just too much Craigmont 39 vs Cordova 13 - Craigmont has too many weapons for Cordova to account for Mitchel 21 vs Melrose 22 - Melrose in a war of attrition Germantown 14 vs Houston 21- Houston's offensive line works hard for the win East 15 vs White Station 23- White Station finally gets off the schneid MUS 33 vs Olive Branch 30 - Surprising gun fight in store Sheffield 23 vs Hillcrest 20 - Sheffield keeps on rolling
  20. Well, we got a good Thursday night game that is approaching quickly. What say the members here? Personally I think Craigmont is going to get over their Cordova hump. Their offense is putting up points, and their defense is solid against the run. However, Craigmont has been gashed at times, and Cordova has weapons at runningback and one wideout with good talent. This should be a pretty good game.
