Hey Just so you know. I'm rooting for South Pittsburg next week at Greenback. I'll be there in the stands on the South Pitt Side. And in response to those that say what does the AP Poll Matter? I suppose I could agree, it matters nothing. I just like having someone else to be mad at. And, I left my kid at GCA so, we have taken our punishment with class and paid our tuition $$$$$ per year for the pleasure of it. Expressing my opinion is not lacking in class, quite the opposite. Sometimes you have to be heard to avoid being herd. For all those still playing congratulations and good luck, for Boyd and Trousdale especially good luck, but just know, you will never really know....... but neither will GCA. The sad part is we really don't need a 1A and 2A champion. How many 5-5 and 4-6 teams are there? How many first round byes? C'mon ...... That Childress man just wants the gate money. You know I'm telling the truth. (How is that Roy?) We should just have a combined 1A and 2A bracket and be done with it. Well as I suspected. Only 5 voters have some journalistic integrity. Even if I could live with Trousdale having one loss and being ranked higher than GCA, I can't understand how Boyd is higher when they lost to South Pitt a team we held scoreless for 4 quarters and 3 OT's???? GCA Rams 10-0 THE ONLY UNDEFEATED Team in TN 2A. Whomever the 13 voters are that put Trousdale #1, shame on you. Our schedule even included more playoff teams out of 10 than Boyd's or Trousdale's. I'm sure both fine programs and great kids.......but they have no shot at being undefeated and isn't that why you play the game? (Props to Herm Edwards) Anyway you slice it, just wrong. And for all you haters, GCA is no longer on probation, so don't even go there. Punishment is served. See you December 2, 2012 in Cookeville.

OK I'm laying low the rest of the week just like most Ram fans are. Seems to be we don't feel the need to fan talk the SP fan base this week. I hope you guys have a nice trip up I-75. We will have some Hot Choco for that man ROY, and by the way, here is our game plan. We are going to run it down your throats and for fun throw over the top. If your speedy offense is on the sideline they can't score. Our line is very good and guess what? They are looking forward to playing a full 4quarter game again. The JV team better wear long underwear cause that sideline is going to be cold Friday night. Bring it SP, Bring it. We want your best, and hopefully you'll get ours. And Raven just FYI there is no bowl game for us this year. 10-0 says quite enough. We also have 18 seniors that don't have a next game. I like the thought of that effort. NO what I am proposing is that your team if it's ranked higher than GCA call TSSAA and insist that you play us in the first round. Why wait five weeks. And I bet our boys would agree to play all 5 playoff games on the road. But none of us will know and I'm just tired and going to bed. I'll check this thread out over the next few days. I find it interesting that half the no votes so far at least have not voted no and that our punishment was fair. That is a good indicator of prevailing theory. All I know is that I have a 16 year old boy that has tremendous heart and this probation sucks and anybody that finds fairness in it is beyond my understanding. Signal Mountain got 6 games for an ineligible player. We got a huge fine and 2 years. Fair? No..... But South Pittsburg is our championship game this year. Believe that. We would love to have the chance to back it up. Call TSSAA and express your opinion they should reconsider in the next two weeks. Tell them it would mean more to beat GCA because the winner will just never know. And just for every haters sake none of these kids "cheated" so I'm not getting sucked into that. I'm just debating the value of a poll that votes on regional favorites and never really examines schedules and records. Why have it?

We get to find out what we are made of at home in Two weeks when South Pitt rolls to town. I respect them very much and respect Trousdale very much. No way Hampton should be ranked above GCA look at the schedule. WOW. Granted our region is pretty weak this year too, but Greenback is not bad. Ok who are the voters in the weekly AP top 10 poll and do they even know what is going on? Knoxville GCA is 3 and 2 but their 2 losses have been to Gibbs and CAK. These teams are in the Top 2 in their classes and the combined record is 10 and 0. One is 4A and the other is 3A. I mean, I realize GCA is on probation but not from being ranked properly. What's it going to take to crack the top 10? Either they are prejudice, mis-informed, or disconnected. Either way, the AP pollsters are off base. We've smoked every 1A opponent we've played. I'm looking forward to getting the meat of the District over the next few weeks. Time to prove it on the field or shut up and go home. Enough of the probation smackers. We didn't cheat, we didn't co-ordinate ruthless activity, we made an honest mistake and are paying our price publically and professionally. At least give us the courtesy of ranking us higher than those that don't deserve it. If anybody knows how to or where to find out who the AP voters are, I'd love to know. Go Rams
