  1. Dont make the mistake in thinking TCA isnt physical. They came as close as anybody in stopping Riverside's running game. They were very physical up front and swarmed to the ball. They were also the first team that the Panthers played were their line was actually bigger than the Lions. They will come after you. I have not seen Peabody play, but heard they are a physical team so should be a good match-up.
  2. To be honest with you someone does need to look into that "chest bouncing" thing. I think it's illegai in some states. I hope the Panthers can keep their emotions in check this time since obviously the Lions called them out on it last time and gave them an embarrassing loss. Riverside you better tone it down and do not slap hands or anything this Friday of you will get pounded again
  3. Your right some pregame hype can be a bit silly but emotion is a big key in a big game. You still dont have to get personal singling out a player who suffered an embarrassing moment. You guys were the winning team last time getting big plays when you needed them along with some huge turnovers. Yes I think we are the better team, and I just dont see RHS having one of those games again. But stranger things have happened
  4. 9 out of 10 games? I dont know about that. No doubt Perry Co. is a great team that Riverside respects greatly and would not like to face in the playoffs even if they were in the same class. But 9/10 is a stretch to say the least. No doubt RHS would not win all of them, but give the Panthers a little more credit than that. Now if you said Riverside would beat Dresden 9 out of 10 times then that would be a little more accurate.
  5. Sorry i think you misunderstood me. It's not that he looks good in uniform it's Rice demeaner on the field. There is obvious a big difference between college ball and high school ball. Tucker's ability to go on the fly with him tucking it in and making 8 people whiff on the tackle along with being able to throw for a buck 50 is remarkable, and he still has 1 more year. Rice makes plays as well but has a totally different look and approach. His poise and like i said earlier his fundamental's is hands down more suited to college ball. No way is this a slam to Tucker, he is great and once again has another year left. Good luck to both teams.
  6. Probably the most accurate statement I've saw on this thread. Well put.
  7. A very solid statement. He's not flashy and not interested in attention. He just don't like to lose, and will do everything he can to win. All heart. An old school type player. You wont hear about him statewide cause he dont have the numbers but if you play against him he will stick out.
  8. Okay im ready to put my 2 cents in. Hope no one gets offended by me being from west tn. but wanted to say i think the game will be very excited this Friday. Ive had a chance to watch both teams, and think their both incredible. Ive kept up with both teams as much as i could, and heard a lot of things said comparing both quarterbacks. First of all both are terrific quarterbacks. The funny thing though is that they have completely different styles. Rice pocket presence is amazing. The way he feels the heat coming really makes you think does he have eyes in the back of his head. When he escapes the pocket, rather than get the 8 yards running he is constantly looking downfield while he is moving, and can deliver a rope on the run. Either running or staying in the pocket he is very sharp. He is as fundamently sound as any quarterback i saw in that position. Tucker is by far no slouch as well. The way he can take off with the ball when the heat is on makes him very dangerous. Passing or running he is a threat both ways. A fiery competitor who you want to look up at in the huddle. The way he can be slippery and hard to bring down is amazing. Like i said both are great and i wish i could watch this incredible game. Good luck to both teams.
