Yea except Boone goes 4 deep at running back and none of them miss a step, and 2 deep at quarterback. I will go ahead and give it to you both starting squads are pretty much evenly matched, but Boone definatley has more depth. and your argument that Boone would be just as bad off if they were to loose one player is not valid.

Dang Right, trialblazer, I must admit after loosing Shropshire i was afraid that our backs this season were not going to be able to run the ball effectively however they have proven themselves this year, this is the most complete team i have ever seen Boone have. Some people look at Boone and don't really see anyone standing out as a star player, but that is mainly attributable to the fact that Boone has so many options that nobody has to carry the load themselves. but don't worry about that cap, he knows how good Boone is he just doesn't want to admit it.

Excuse me....Boone has concentrated on ball security, however i did not want to rule out the fact that they may fumble it once. I really believe that Boone will not have many turnovers in this game, if it is really wet and sloppy maybe they have 1. I haven't seen the weather forecast, but i do believe that that type of weather would favor the Blazers, because their style of running is more hard nosed up the middle, not as many cuts and turns like the way South runs the ball. But both teams have to play under the same conditions so i don't really think it helps or hurts either one that much, although it may make the game a little more interesting.

Boone has learned how to finish a game over the past little bit. Kevin has been resting up for the past few weeks. His number hasn't been called very much since the science hill game, and i believe it is time for him to have another one of those nights. I say he gets at least 4 touchdowns in this one, which will get him fired up to go on defense and he will couple that with 3 sacks. South will break a few big ones so i call it 35-14 BOONE. You can throw away all the Boone pride signs, they are not needed. This one is just about one Great football team beating another.

No no they are in fact very bad. Yea i know the 5A teams they lost to are good but they are still 5A teams. With all the money that so far has been wasted on that program they should be a premier team in east TN. With that being said i agree with Trailblazersback, within the next few years, Stacy Carter should have them rolling.

Out of the 3 TN High, Boone, South who would you give the best chance at beating West?

Obviously you were not around for last years playoffs or you would have already known their is no such thing as meant to be around here when it comes to the playoffs. I really do hate to mention it again but #1 team in the state got took out in the second round. I do hope that the South and West teams have this same mentality as you cause i know that TN High and Boone are both gonna be up for this Friday Night. Believe me i would be as shocked as anyone at a TN High win, but they do have some tricks up their sleeve. Does anyone know who will be the Quarterback for TN High Friday. I think that they stuck with number 12 against South? May West get to see #8?

I have never seen Knox West play football before, however i still don't give TN High an icebergs chance this Friday. But would love to see them win and make it to the second round. If they did so and Boone was to pull out a win over South, that would make for an ironic scenario at Daniel Boone in round 2 wouldn't it. So lets all hope for that one.

I agree with you about the criteria and everyone being seeded properly. I just believe that the quads have the wrong teams in them. I think that when you have 4 teams in quad one with the same record as the number one seed in quad 2, you can move a team that may be 2 miles closer to quad 2 into quad 2. as for quad one and two i think moving knox west to quad 2 and knox catholic to quad 1 would even out everything. I understand what you mean that you have to beat everyone to be champs but it is harder playing tough teams week in week out and then having to go play another tought team like Columbia, such as someone from quad one would have to do, rather than someone like Columbia whom will have a cake walk, before having to face a team from quad . TSSAA has definatley given an advantage to Columbia. They have set it up perfectly for them.

I like it....and agree with it, but the Rebels know how to beat a team twice in the same season, just as they did last year.

Does anyone have a good reason why Boone should win this one? or Does anyone have a reason why South should win this one? I am just wandering cause these Boone v. South games get a little crazy from time to time. I also believe that this game will be nothing like it was the first time this season for either team. Comparing to the last few games of the season, Nobody has been able to score on Boone and nobody has been able to stop South from scoring.

Well, I am excited about this game. Yea Boone always has a problem with South, they just never have been about to stop that Quarterback run. Last game they played I believe Boone out gained them in the first have but that didn't matter cause Boone turned the ball over 5 times. I predict Boone to win this one, however i figured they would beat South last year in the playoffs but was proven wrong. Good thing is we get this one out of the way right off the bat. I would just like to know how do teams like Science Hill make it into the playoffs, i don't know much about 6A football but from watching Science Hill play 5A football teams i think it is quite possible that they are the worst 6A football team in the state. But with that being said i am pulling for them in this game.

I agree, Quad 1 has 4 teams at 8-2 or better. Quad 2 as 1. That does not make any since. I am not sure about the exactly locations of Knox West and Knox Catholic, but they can't be that far apart. I believe that Knox West should have went to quad 2 and Knox Catholic should have came to quad 1 to even out the field. that would have bumped Boone up to #2 and Anderson county up to #3 i believe. Also putting a little more competition in Quad 2. But then again I am not TSSAA so i guess i might not understand.

You are the one that mentioned Boone in the first place. If you quit mentioning Boone nobody would respond to your statements about them. And don't lie I know you are impressed. Kevin ran a punt back with perfect blocking, and inside about the 15 he just ran over a couple of boys. And you don't have to drink any blazeraid you can just keep on being a looser if you wish.

Well for starters, "Burger King" really didn't get that many carries at all because Jeremy knew not to do anything stupid and get his stud hurt. If they wanted him too Kevin could have ran over your defense. If you noticed he didn't really play that much on offense in the second half of the game. What you saw was Boone football the way it is supposed to be. They done exactly what they needed too on offense, scored early and then just ate away at the clock after they had a pretty comfortable lead. If you have noticed Boone doesn't ever try to blow any team out, they just win anyway they have to do it. If they wanted to have 200 yards passing in that game they probably could have. If they wanted Kevin to have 200 yards rushing they could have done that. Fact of the Matter is, TN HIGH'S offense did not make them do so. Boone's defense was so good that TN High did not score a touchdown until their was 8 seconds left in the game, and for them most part they had to play behind their own 30 yard line.

If they are gonna be in the same boat as Boone, then i would say they are in pretty good shape for this game. You said that all Boone could do last week was run with the quarterback, but then TN High got burned with a 40 something yard TD pass to get things rolling.

I watched the Boone v. TN High game last friday night, and in my opinion the number 8 qb they put in late in the game seemed to be a lot better than the one that started, minus the interception returned for a touchdown. How come he does not start? I believe if he were to start this game it would probably be a pretty tight game.
