Thank YOU!!!!! This is my point exactly. There were two seperate incidents between players at the scrimmage earlier and I don't mean a brawl just between the players involved. In both cases we sat our players out the REST OF THE GAME. Price did sit his players for 2 plays.

Does anyone read the other posts before they start sounding off. I posted this just to have it up so that no one could make crap up about what happened at the game. I don't have video proof of Adults hitting kids only about 50 eyewitness accounts including those of our parents, coaches, kids that were assaulted, 2 different members of the media and not excluding one fan of signal mtn who was on the sideline who truthfully reported what he saw.

Do you not understand that even one of your own saw it! We already have that statement.

It would be nice if we could all play smaller teams in Championships where we could all have one.

When exactly was the scuffle with Cleveland? I am not sure if you know this or not but Slaughter and Orr coached together and are pretty good friends. Your reputation of fighting far exceeds any other. All of your "incidents" and the lack of any punishment by your coaching staff or faculty have not gone unoticed. From all the fights to underage drinking. Don't push this off on anyone else. I am suprised no one from signal knows the guy in the video, I thought you were a much closer community than that. I know you think Parents assaulting kids is just a scuffle but I assure that there are others that do not.

Honestly before i go to bed. We are not jealous of signal mtn. your parents struck our kids numerous people including media saw it. Your reputation is your own, own it, wear it, love it.

The Powers that Be are just beginning with it though. Again this is not as much about what happened on the field but what happened as Parents assaulted kids. Please, please I emplore you to just understand that. I understand that tackling is part of football, however its not a part of 7 on 7!

Smtnfn, please keep ignoring the fact that Adults assaulted kids because its really helping your defense. That point was especially noticed by the comments of your head coach in his quote in the FreePress.

Did you not hear the UNBIASED interview with Steven Hargis on Talk Radio today. Did I happen to mention the fact that he Eyewitnessed everything that went on. Do you also know that video is not necessary in assault cases when multiple eyewitnesses are present.(Just Sayin) Your cornerback started this entire mess with tackling our reciever or did you miss that too. Oh its'a commin'. Remember how the crow tasted you'all ate when Price came out and admitted being scared of Alcoa after everyone on here said it was for other reasons. Keep reading all posts whether here or in the Times Free press then understand the only people that believe like you do is you.

I am sorry i didn't get the punches thrown on video, I was to dumbfounded by what I saw to continue to operate my camera. However the kids from Soddy that were ASSAULTED were able to identify the brave men that hit them. Maybe you can get Talk Radio to send you a copy of the Hargis interview it's a great listen.

There is absolutely nothing to be ashamed about on this video. Wait, that is unless your from Signal Mtn. I am sure that there is a signal mtn video which shows something completely different. Wait... no there isn't. I have been told that to heal a black eye you hold a piece of meat on it. But where does one get one to cover an entire mountain. There are no winners in this video...but there is a bigger loser! The entire incident starts with the tackle of the Soddy Daisy reciever!

Thank you birdie for not throwing a punch. But the event in question did happen on the main field where fences are up and no one should be on the track unless coaching or playing. I watched a couple of other games in which no one from any team on the visitor side was on the track, the practice fields withstanding.

This is far worse than any brawl that happened yesterday. At no time did I hear of this story but my prayers are with her. There are things that need to change to keep incidents like these from happening. There needs to be rules in place during tournaments like these that need to be inforced. There HAS TO BE OFFICIALS AT THESE GAMES so that they can inforce if not just rules but seating. These have become more than just practices, they are treated more like games. Fans do not need to be sitting anywhere near the action. When a kid comes flying throught the crowd it is nothing like what happens in basketball. This kid becomes a weapon in hard shelled reinforced helmet. I know that would be harder to do on the soccer field where this incident occurred. Again praying for the girl and hope to hear an improving status.

Really, we have to go through this again. OUR BEST PLAYER WERE STILL PLAYING STATE TOURNAMENT BASEBALL. HERE IS A NOVEL IDEA. YOU TRY PLAYING A SEASON WITH ONLY KIDS THAT LIVE ON THE MOUNTAIN. MAYBE IF YOU WOULD STOP BUSSING KIDS FROM THE VALLEY YOU COULD AFFORD RESTROOMS AT YOUR SCHOOL. AGAING FOR A FINAL TIME WHEN WE SCRIMMAGE OUR BEST PLAYERS ARE PLAYING BASEBALL, ARE IN THE STATE TOURNAMENT AND CANNOT BE THERE FOR THE SCRIMMAGE. I NOW STUFF TRAVELS UP THE MOUNTAIN SLOW BUT MAN.

Troll I am very much in favor of not scrimmaging in the Jamboree as well. As far as I am concerned I would be just as happy if we never saw each other again. There can be nothing good to come of playing each other in the jamboree. The last thing either team needs is to lose players due to suspensions. I am in no way saying our players did not participate in the instigation or retaliation of any skirmish that happened on the field. What concerned me most was the parents involvement. Check out the times freepress ariticle that came out today. Keep in mind he did not call out Signal Mtn for the parent involvement however, it happened on your sidelines where some(not all) parents were not in the stands as they were suppose to be. Our parents did not have time to get over there to be involved. Trust me they were comming but because they(I) were where they were suppose to be could not get involved. I don't mean to call out all signal fans. I enjoy reading all your comments on every thread. Most of the reason for this is that your very excited about your program(and should be) and very involved. I am sorry that several bad apples ruined the entire bunch.

Now unless anyone else wants to share a different scenario of the events that transpired I am going to drop this subject. The way I see it nobody won. But if your interested I have the great video of the man who commited this because after I ran to the field I left my video camera running and it stays on him for over 5 minutes. I don't mean to bash the program but when stuff like what happen to day occurs it becomes a black eye on your program.

I am sure it would be easy for you if it was our parents physically attacking your kids, maybe thats the way you roll. Last I checked thats a Felony Brother! Other than that I was I was pleased with our performance considering our D1 saftey/wide reciever who is being looked at by 4 SEC schools wasn't even there. But we are a 6A school and your a 4A school (even with kids who don't live on the mountain) so I really don't get to excited beating schools with less enrollment than we have. But some teams would consider that state championship material.

I have a son who is a junior. I have watched everygame (practice or otherwise) and have yet to see a fight at ANY other game with the exception of the scuffle at Bradley 2 years ago. I was speaking with 2 different MEDIA persons from 2 different oraganizations. Each of which saw your parents not trying to break up a fight but THROW PUNCHES, the kids that were getting punched also stated they were adults and not members of the football team. Each of these two members of the media were at the Baylor scrimmage last year when all your team wanted to do was fight, but when your getting your butts handed to you, you have to react somehow. Also they said they were at both earlier scrimmages with Soddy and Central. Also each of which there was a fight. You have taken on the personality of your coach good or bad. There is no excuse for your parents participating in a fight much less being on the track. I think its in the best interest that the Jamboree has a change of teams lest either team gets kids suspended. The kids fighting on the field are one thing, the parents getting involved, TRASH! Wait for the news story because I am sure it is comming. I don't have to defend our team I'll let impartial witnesses of the events do it for me. One of us has video tape evidence of what happened and I don't think it is you.

Today at the 7 on 7's at Classless Mtn,the Signal Mtn eagles managed to start fights with EVERY team they scrimmaged. Mostly because they were tackling and hitting instead of playing by the rules.(no suprise there) However, the last game in which they were playing Soddy Daisy two players managed to get in fight but the fans (who were not supposed to be on the track) decided they were going to get involved too. NO KIDDING two parents of Signal jumped into what became a brawl and threw punches at Soddy Daisy players! I just so happened to tape this game and I only taped this game because I knew something like this would happen. I never, ever thought their parents would get involved. I didn't manage to get the parent throwing punches because I was rushing to that side of the field. I will post a link to the video when I get it uploaded and point out the parents(cowards) involved. Also witnessing these events were members of the media who managed to see everything I saw.(Stay tuned) No referees, no police. When one of Signal mtn's finest show up with numerous eyewitness accounts of what happened and yet nothing was done. Again, real suprise. The person I actually witnessed throwing punches at kids was no where to be found afterwards. When you let Bill Price run this kind of program this is the result, you get parents and kids acting just like him. (On the field) Off the field he's not a bad guy. Stay Classy Signal MTN.
