  1. This was the first time I've seen Lincoln county play in a couple of years and their o seemed so predictable. I remember watching them a few years ago and they were throwing the ball all over the place but tonight it just seemed like off tackle right or off tackle left. I understand the talent at QB and WR didn't seem as good as years past but I don't see how you can expect to win games in the playoffs being so one dimensional. Anyhow, the Falcons seemed to leave it all on the field tonight. And goodluck to NE in the rest of the playoffs
  2. This game doenst seem to have the same hype around it as it did last year but I guess thats to be expected since its been over a year now since OC and Osteen went back to Giles. I think Giles is the team to beat in 4A and shouldnt have a problem with LC. I could see this game turning into a blowout. I expect Cobb and the rest of the Giles Countys offense to have their way with LCs D. And Giles D should be fine seeing that LC doesnt have any the same weapons they did last year with Smith graduating. I say 35-7 Giles Wins
  3. I saw the LC vs Warren County scrimmage and LC looked pretty good in that. The new QB for LC looked like he was coming along well and he should be ready to go once season starts. LC also looked a little faster to me on the defensive side of the ball than they did last year. They also ran the ball pretty well vs Warren with 2-3 different RBs switching in and out if I remember right. LC's strongest part of the team still seems to be WRs. Most people know about #23 Eric Smith at WR and what he can do but #29 Mustin looked real good in the Warren County scrimmage so hopefully that will give the new QB a nice second option to throw too. Granted all of this was vs Warren County lol but LC looked good considering it was there first scrimmage of spring. I was off watching another scrimmage the next week so I didnt get to catch LCs 2nd scrimmage so i dont know how they played in that one
  4. Im excited to see how both coaches will gameplan for each others offense. I know alot of Giles Countys playmakers are returning so it will be interesting to see how the LC coaches will gameplan for them. And im assuming LC is going to run the same thing they did last year so it will be interesting to see how OC is going to try to contain LCs passing attack
  5. I heard from someone today that Thomas Osteen has left Lincoln County and went back to Giles. Im not sure if this is true but if it is this will be a tremendous blow to Lincoln County. As far as the game goes I would think Giles County would have the edge but who knows in a game like this one. Any1 know what Lincoln County and Giles County is looking like?
  6. i think Tullahoma could win District 8AAA this year. With Davis coming back along with Sheffield and their two RBs tullahoma's offense should be tough to stop. I think the district is going to come down to Columbia and Tullahoma but i think Tullahoma is going to beat them and take the district this year
  7. I think the new QB will do just fine. He will be blessed with a stud wide receiver and some other good supporting cast. Coach OC will also help this QB progress as a player i think. As far as better than Pittenger if your a Falcon Fan you better hope the new QB is as good as him because Pittenger was one of the better QBs Lincoln County ever had. I think Falcons will have a good year with a new coach and new QB
  8. He was the head coach at Giles County but hes originally from Lincoln County
  9. Congrats to Columbia they deserve it. The 2nd state championship game in 2 years and they won this one. Great Job by Coach Belew and the rest of the staff and a great job to all the players. Columbia really represented District 8AAA well. Congrats again
  10. Congratulations LC and Coach O'Conner. Does any1 know what coach O'Conner will have to work with this upcoming year? I know there losing 20+ seniors
  11. Columbia's bread and butter is there running game and physical line. Goff has committed to Georgia Tech as well as the linemen Mason so they are both very special athletes. If Hendersonville can force Columbia into 3rd and long or obvious passing downs i see them coming away with the win
  12. Lol Sorry i quit reading everyone's when all i saw was argueing about either Young or Mathers
  13. Congrats to every player that won Mr. Football and to those that were nominated, its an honor to even be nominated for Mr. Football. Devrin Young was very well deserving of the award as was I'tavious Mathers its a shame that both of them couldnt get. Its good to see enough talent in the state where theres a question on who should win . Once again Congrats to everyone that won and that was nominated
  14. This should be a great game. I have to go with Smyrna because the teams they have played and beat. But it could go either way. When you have great athletes on both teams you really dont know whats going to happen because one player can take over the game. Goodluck to both teams and hope for an injury free game. Whoever wins the Golden Ball will be well deserving
  15. Ive seen Columbia play this year and last year and to me Columbia's line is WAY more physical this year than what it was last year but on the otherhand the DBs seem less physical this year than last. I have not seen Hendersonville play but i know they are very good. They will have to try to slow down Goff if they want a chance of winning and block Mason. I see this being a close game with Columbia winning. Goodluck to both teams. And Columbia represent District 8AAA well
