  1. What 2 tough teams have u beat? West and???? Don't get me wrong about the 12 point spread... I noted " at least 12 " that meaning anything greater than 12 would not surprise me. Anyone who follows actual point lines and not just score ration knows that its very rare to see a 30+ point spread for a high school game ,when both teams are undefeated. I give DB all the credit for what they have done this year and how they have done it. They r def the best team in east TN possibly the state but that's why you play the game...any given nite any team can be beat. If the indians show up ready and not overlooking boone...i agree it will be ugly but i wouldnt be surprised if the get held to their lowest scoring game yet. Thoughts and prayers with The Cook family.
  2. This is a battle of unbeatens and will be the first test of the year for the Blazers. The Indians are very fast. Boone will have to play their solid d and not allow Indians to get to the edge. If Boone can slow down the Indians rushing attack this will be a game. If not its over at the half. Boones physical ball control will be helpful but we do not want to get into a scoring match with the Indians. Boone is most likely at least a 12 point underdog but thats the way the.kids like it and when they play their best ball. I don't agree with them finishing 3rd in the big 8. Science hill is flashy but they are not near as physical. From what I have saw they are soft. The tribe does look to be the real deal this year. Should be a great game down in kingsport Friday night. I'm sure coach Clark is reminding his players about the last time Boone was down in kingsport. GO MIGHTY BLAZERS!!!
  3. SHOCKED???? what u guys working on some secret play scheme or something. let me guess your cheerleaders are going to play??? what is that suppose to mean anyway "shocked"?. i think the shock is going to come after the first quater of football, this is why. I know your team is big, and they are fast, and im sure u guys are dressing the JV so your goin to have like 70 kids on the sidelines lookin like a small army . im sure the field and stadium is going to be full of rebel garbage, and signs and oh everyones goin to be talkin bout how bad your going to beat us.youll have some big "to do" bout west playing in the 2nd round blah blah blah. and im sure when boone is out there warming up and they arent as tall, and they arent as big, and by no means are as fast. you and your west rebels are going to be laughin if not out loud then in your mind cause ur thinkin, "where did these little guys come from.they are so small. they dont stand a chance. " Come the end of that first quarter i promise that you nor any west players will be smiling. your going to be askin yourself, "MY GOSH, WHERE did these hard hittin boys come from, and youll realize your in for a long rough night. win lose or draw....if u play boone, i guarantee your going to be hurting on saturday morning. ask anyone weve played for the last ...oh say 10 years. BOONE HITS and WE HIT HARD.
  4. i havent saw the WEST REBELS team very extensively, but i have looked over their stats and roster in-depth. from their stats they really dont appear to be to much of a defensive team. i watched highlights of both games they lost and the game against TN HIGH. from what ive read and heard the TN HIGH game was the best game WEST had played all season. i know that they run alot of QB read, option and iso, but i mostly saw him under center. not sure if this was just my limited viewing of film or what. the fullback #33 looked to be a hoss and he ran both "A" gaps and to the off tackle. i never saw him run a trap or vear. it was only straight open up gives. this is a huge plus for BOONE. because of the strength in the middle and up front. NOW that being said, the QB is talented. he can read plays, and he will pull the ball. although i think some of the plays are meant to be a fake so he doesnt have the read option. they are deceiving in their approach on offense. He can make all the throws, the ten yard out the slant the deep post. didnt see many seam or streak routes. they do have alot of speed off the corner once they get squared up down field. i saw alot of east to west running from plays getting strung out though. they really look for a big open hole or the open corner. when the defense would string out they had a very hard time hitting a small hole. Boone has to play GAP control football. those lineman need to stand their ground and let those backers play head hunter football. In the loses they suffered. the opposing team was being very physicall right from the get go. this seemed to demoralize WEST QUICK, VERY QUICK. when the opposing team went on O, again they were hitting hard, playing physical football. this showed majorly in the second half. they seemed to lay down. this is a huge advantage for boone in my opinion. 1 the fact that boone played south last week and shut them out. south runs a very similar offence. boones D will stand strong with a GREAT SCHEME. Im sure the boone coaching staff and players are watching every peice of film they can get on west. they will be well scouted. 2 on offence dont think for a second that u 2 way players (kids playing both sides of ball)are getting a break, because if so u got a rude awakening. VERY VERY PHYSICAL O from boone, with alot of misdirection power runs. alot of those runs come out of a gun set. that running setsup, one of the most underestimated passing games in the whole state if not the most understimated. they make big plays on late downs.3 this physical downhill smashmouth football with dishearten west and in the second half this will show. those 3-4 yrd gains in the first half, will be 10-15 yrd in the second. We see it every week. i am a BOONE fan but more than that im a lover of football. this is all my opinion and it is based off limited viewing of west. BOONE 23 WEST 17
  5. whoever this is, needs to stop putting false info on here. after speaking to players, coachs, and the AD there will not be a review by TSSAA. there will be only 2 players missing the game next week. they are #20 and #55. both players are starters. 20 is part of that deep backfield that can go 4 RBs deep, although he is usually in the backfield if sanders isnt. the big miss will be 55. he is a solid lineman and a great contain end that can stand his ground. i think 55 will be the one missed more just because the depth at RB. THERE ARE NO COACHS SUSPENDED. go ahead BLACKSHEEP where did u get your info cause its a lie. and u are a liar. if u dont know something is true you shouldnt write it.
  6. it was garbage... boone picked off the ball advanced to bout souths 40. guy gets talked along boones sideline. 2 south plyers come in late one hit ball carrier the other began pushing other boone players. BLAZERS retaliated by the whole team swarming the area, throwing south kids around. by this time some players from across souths bench rush the far side of feild ACCOMPANIED BY COACHS who were seeming to want to fight also. boones coaches were pulling kids apart along with nearly every other adult on the field. souths coaches went straight toward our coachs???? not sure what they were doing. there were punches and kicks being thrown, along with many players throwing each other around. the cops were motioned to the field, here come bout 10 cops.lol it still took nearly 3 minutes to stop completly. the whole fight was about 5 minutes, give or take. the ref was down for bout 10. #20 and #55 for boone ejected, they said by to team gave some pep talk and walked off field, while the south player was wanting to fight everyone in the stadium. he was yelling at the coachs, players, refs, and even cops. you could sense a tension building the whole first half. south was getting very frustrated seeing how they couldnt do anything... boone had nearly 11 years of frustration. yeah the fight was bad, but i in no way think it takes away from the game. yea the officiating was awful but what do u expect seems BOONE always gets raw end of deal. we have learned to play thru it.
  7. this is great, just read the last couple pages of posts mostly talking about HH. lol i love how no one will admit that he is all south has, if they didnt have hime they would have won 4 games this year. nothing proves this more than what happened tonite. THE BLAZERS shut down HH. hit him everytime he had the ball. seems that he was getting up off the ground after every play. may i say it again BOONE 7 SOUTH 0... and i repeat "0". now what a coincidence, HH gets beat up and smacked around all game, doesnt do anything at all but throw an interception, and they dont score any. now tell me again , that HEATH isnt all you have, i will laugh in your face.... physical football on O and D wins. WOOT WOOT hate to say this but TOLD YA SO...
  8. WOOO HOOO. DBHS 7 SSHS 0, thats physical football. HH was smacked around all night. anyone who was at this game knows how good it was. boone had so many opportunities to score more, but couldnt convert. this win falls on the shoulders of the BLAZER D. south players were lookin around at the half to make sure they werent going to get hit running to locker room.lol the physical football in washington county wins a big one tonite. you could see it on souths players at the end of the first, like they had never been hit this hard before. Poor HH was running for his life all nite. EXCELLENT SCHEME COACH JENKINS. Great game BLAZERS, good season rebels.
  9. i-26 to exit 13, this is gray exit. top of ramp take a left. go 1.5 or 2 miles, DBHS is on left. field is right on road cant miss it.
  10. how bout some of u people who think south is going to win, establish why u think this, im yet to see anyone give any reason why south is going to win. all everyone says is " we beat em the last 2 years, why not this year too". i hope thats the same mentality your rebels have friday night, if so it will be a great night to be a BLAZER. come on guys if u want to say who is going to win, give some reasons why you think that.
  11. we will see friday night who is in the land of OZ... heath is going to get punished, and guess what??? he is all South has. take him away south is nothing. but yet again these posts about what has happened the last couple years are true. south has handed us our lunch and sent us packing. it is going to be a very good game. i by no means think its going to be a runaway. South is good, and player for player they are probably better. it just seems that boone is playing the best football they have played in 3 years. in the last couple years, Boone was worried/ didnt want to have to play south. Hoped someone would put them out. this year they wanted them. just think that a physical well schemed team is dangerous, add to that the motivation this boone team has .. it could spell an end to the rebels owning the blazers. This will be a very close game physicality wins late... SOUTH 21 -- BOONE 30. please post your score predictions if your choosing teams.
  12. congrats to both teams on great seasons. i think this is one of the best matchups in the opening round. with that being said i think the BLAZERS will win this one. i was at death valley in week 3 when the rebels beat boone 41-16. this was the worst game boone played all season. the boone team that south will see friday nov5 is leaps and bounds ahead of the one they saw in week 3. the blazer o-line has a soild blocking scheme now that will lean and push the rebels backwards. we have saw it for the last 5 weeks, boone hitting people in the mouth on both sides of the ball. they are just as punishing on O as they are on D. this is really evident in the second half of those gamnes. south hasnt seen a team near the physicallity of these blazers this season. in the first meeting boone had nearly 7 turnovers, that wont happen this week. also no one on here has said anything about the HOME FIELD adv. TRUST ME gray will be a mad house friday night when south comes to town. THE BLAZER NATION could be a factor. For south it is very hard to beat a team 2 times in the same year, we saw this last year when the blazers beat TN HIGH 3 weeks after getting blown out by them. and probably the biggest reason is THE BLAZERS WANT THE REBELS.i know players and couches, and both wanted the rebels. these kids are driven and hungry and want those rebels. i talked to a couple players who said they didnt care if they had to play at death valley, they wanted the rebels. SO to break it down. This isnt the same boone team south saw in week 3. blazers are way to physical. they arent going to turn the ball over 7 times. The game is in gray, so the blazer nation will be alive. hard to beat a calliber team twice in a season, and last and probably the most influential THE BLAZERS WANTED THE REBELS. this is all my opinion feel free to critize and input your opinion. GO000000 MIGHTY BLAZERS GO GO GO
