  1. Looks to me like 2 people think things are not going well at Haywood. I'd say that's not bad at all. The lack of response to the message just might mean that the overwhelming majority of Haywood supporters actually LIKE what's happening at Haywood.
  2. Congratulations Germantown...exciting game...good luck as you advance.
  3. Aint but 55 6A teams in the whole state, bubba
  4. TSSA needs to hire you to calculate all the weighings. I just dont understand why they havent thought of that before now!
  5. Seems as if travel costs come into the picture in the regular season...no body wants to travel to Brighton....Brighton School Board doesnt want to send Cards too far ....
  6. No love crush.... Just using Alcoa as an example. They were the highest rated non-6A school in the rating
  7. Sonny Moore's Power Ratings formula gives Brighton a 6.51 point edge over Germantown when playing at Brighton. Sonny also predicts Brighton would win by 4.51 points if they traveled to Germantown. Sonny's formula give Alcoa (3A) a 24.6 point edge over Germantown if Alcoa traveled to Germantown. Losing to a 3A team would really be hard on you boys, wouldnt it? If Brighton is clicking tonight, their passing attack will have the Germantown secondary gassed out in the 2nd half. Brighton D is very quick. Good luck to both teams.
  8. Brighton scored 448 Points in 10 games, average 44.8 points / game. 448 points scored is #1 among the 55 teams in TN Class 6A football. Combine all classes, all teams, and Brighton is #6 of 334, or top 2%. Almost all of Brighton's games had mercy rule clocks in second half... Anybody want to guess how many more points the Cards would have registered if TSSAA was not into political correctness? Brighton's defense surrendered 139 points, giving up an average of 13.9 points/game. That mark ties them at 44th out of the 334 teams in the state, or top 13%. ‎2010 Tennessee Class 6A Football Playoff Won-Lost Distribution: 1 team out of 55 went undefeated. 5 teams of the 55 posted 9 - 1 records. (Brighton is one of these 5) 9 teams ended the season at 8 - 2 5 teams went 7 - 3 8 teams went 6 - 4 7 went 5-5. 3 of these did not make the 32 team field. Sonny Moore Power Ratings have Brighton at #36 of 335 teams --all classes http://www.sonnymoorepowerratings.com/h-s-foot.htm That is Top 10% Sonny's #2 team is Alcoa...a 3A team... Maybe that means you cant place too much stock into what "class" you play in. Sounds like some of the posters on here would be totally embarrassed if their big ole 6A team got their #### handed to them by a little ole 3A team. Can TSSAA do a better job assigning teams to districts? Possibly! Tennesses Class 6A is divided into 4 Quadrants...each Quadrant further divided into 4 Districts..Total 16 Districts. ONLY 1 6A DISTRICT has 1 TEAM. District 13 = Brighton (Does being the only team in District 13 make Brighton an automatic qualifier from that district? NO...they still have to win games. If they didnt qualify, I'm betting a team from a surrounding district takes the D13 slot) 4 Districts have 2 Teams 4 Districts have 3 Teams 3 Districts have 4 Teams 2 Districts have 5 Teams 2 Districts have 6 Teams Total 16 Districts ALL 6A Districts contain 5A teams Why doesnt Brighton play more 6A teams? I dont know the answer. Do I think it would help them in post season if they played more 6A teams in the regular season? Yes. Brighton plays the schedule they are given. So far as the bad Brighton coaches, someone needs to fill me in on that one. Seems to me as if they have been pretty successful ....sour grapes out there? Brighton has a history of stubbing their toe in the 1st round. If it happens again this year, it happens. But the team can and should be proud of what they accomplished this season.
