  1. Toughen up was for the fans that didnt show up to the game. If you were there, then you have no reasons to worry. http://rise.espn.go.com/football/team-rankings/Index.aspx Also, Alcoa cracks the top 50 on the ESPN FAB 50 rankings
  2. I think the funny thing in all of this is that everybody, including Alcoa fans, know that the run will eventually end. None of us ever know when or to who it will be. However chances are it will be a team that has never played Alcoa during the stretch. It could be a Greeneville or Austin East or a Polk Co....but lets say one of those teams does end the run, can you really look at yourself and say "we beat the best" knowing you beat Alcoa on its decline? To me Alcoa is a lock this year, 80% chance next year but then the following year I think the gap is seriously closing. We'll still be in the mix but its not a without a doubt situation anymore. The teams that do beat Alcoa will love talking about it but in the end, NONE of them stepped up when Alcoa was plowing people like in 04-05-06 (which I still think is arguably Alcoa's best teams this run)
  3. 40yd line 4 rows up. It was the first time in nearly 10 years I was sitting in the middle of the stadium and had a clear path to leave. I had empty seats to the right, front and behind me. Right before kickoff I even looked around and said to my buddy it looked like a bomb scare. Now it technically wasnt THAT bad but it wasnt a full house like it had been in previous weeks. The stands were the same way for McMinn and Stone Memorial on the road. Could have been weather or the travel but its annoying either way. Toughen up.
  4. I would rather play CAK simply for the fact that I want to beat the best teams on the way to state. IMO CAK is the second best team in the state in 3a. If it was for Alcoa CAK would probably be getting ready to set up a 3rd Gold Ball in their trophy case.
  5. Greeneville has to get to Cookeville before they can get the trophy. They're not like Alcoa and Maryville people who are first name basis with front desk people that work in hotels in Middle tennessee
  6. Another game where I will be home before the 10pm news. Alcoa football is great for old people. Its usually over before the sun goes down. Also what was up with nobody wanting to fight the weather friday night? Seriously, thats annoying. If you couldnt show up when its cold to cheer for the team in the first round then keep your bandwagon butts home in the later rounds when we're playing tougher teams. I hate "loyal" fans sometime.
  7. CAK wins by 30 and and rolls into Goddard Field again in a few weeks. (with the same outcome )
  8. Alcoa scores as much as they want. Sweetwater scores as much as Alcoa wants.
  9. From what I could see from their schedule, Greeneville hasnt really played anyone. Thats a typical argument though for North East Tn teams. Its kinda like the Boise Rule. They might have a decent team but can never really prove it because they dont ever play out of the North East. If they ran into a freight train like Alcoa though, I dont expect them to be much of a match. The mercy rule probably wouldnt take effect until 4th Quarter but Alcoa would def win by 4+ TDs
