  1. Pretty balanced team. They may not have the best size but have played against it all year in Northeast (Alex Poythress signed with Kentucky) and Rossview (6'10 Kyle weldon signed with army). And this just seems to be their time of year making their 4th state appearance in 6 years. Coach young has built an great program and they will fight til the end. Also expect them to bring on heck of a student section, white out very likely
  2. Ha you think CA choked? Were you at this game? You can ask anyone who actually saw the game that on any other night had te two teams played any other team they would have both one big. Besides if you watch either one of the Smiths play then you'd understand that while Hughes may have higher point totals he isn't even in the same class...evident by his lack of D1 scholarship
  3. By far one of the best high school games I've ever seen. Both teams played hard and left it all out there. CA hit some tough shots but in the end PC hit more. Still in shock of how good a game it was. Best $7 I've spent in a very long time.
  4. Wh are you so against CA I have a son who played for NC and they are a Private school as well and also CSAS is a magnet school meaning students apply for admission. Why arent you bringing up these schools? Maybe because whoever you support has gotten beat and you just can't accept the ebb and flow of high school sports. There are always classes that cone through and will dominate. East Rob had it Nashville Christian had it and now CA does and likely mcewen or whitehouse will be the class of 10A for te next few years.
  5. What would this match up have proved...nothing. Honestly a 4 and a half hour drive for a high school basketball game is rediculous especially one that has no post season implications. CA got beat by White House Heritage this time last season and did that mean the they were better than CA? All these regular season meetings are fun to talk about but in the end all that matters is who is playing better in the Murphy Center. I have never seen a gold ball given to someone who won a big matchup in the regular season. Let the season run its course and it will all be settled on the court like it should be.
  6. While they may have been rattled that doesn't mean they were beaten. They were rattled against mcewen numerous times last season and they only lost once to anyone in the district. Teams will get rattled that's inevitable. What makes the difference between winning and losing is how they respond and it's apparent that they are more mentally tough than you think. You are going to have to do more than rattle them to neat them. Can they be beaten? Yes anyone can lose on any given day and that's why we play the games. The true question is WILL they get beat? And while this may have showna crack last night to the district the same crack was also shown to Coach Smith. It should be an exciting rest of the year and look forward to seeing how it all unfolds.
  7. I agree with the statement made by MidTNBasketball. CA will win the district. However I feel that just like every year there will be some close games but in the end CA is the best of 10A. There should be a good battle for second because everyone else in the district has a chance. I think parody will be the name of the game but what's important is how 10A does as a whole against other districts. There probably should have been 2 teams from this district in state last year and being a 10A alum I can't hope for anything but a great season and great representation of our district come late February and in March. Good Luck to all.
