  1. Word around CHS is that the kid got in trouble during the summer and was not going to be allowed to play for CHS for this season, per Rector. He jumped ship and went to FHS where Clayton received him with open arms, even though he knows the kid stole a car and was not going to be allowed to play at CHS. The problem is that the kid is not eligible and could cause FHS to forfeit every game he plays in. Second thing is that he was no where near the #2 player at CHS. Not even close. #5 at best for speed. FHS is getting desperate to take this kid and think about playing him. Have fun with this one, FHS fans. I know you like to shoot the messenger and try to hide the real issue.
  2. Coach Rector has made it known at CHS that he has not contacted MBA, nor has been contacted by MBA. Someone either worried about what he is building at CHS, or someone disgruntled about the work he is doing at CHS posted a lie. Either way, this thread needs to be closed because it is putting a man and a team in a bad position, based on a lie. Moderators, please lock this thread.
  3. I do not coach at CHS, but I know the building very well. Based on his description of what he claims to have seen and how he saw it, there is absolutely no way he could have seen anything. Ergo, the poster is a liar. What the coach did years ago does not really matter. I find it very funny and tellingly sad all at the same time that once CHS has some new life and a good coach and a bright future, these kinds of accusations come along. Maybe someone will start making up screennames and throwing out accusations about some of the other schools around the county, like this poster did against centennial. Pretty sad and gutless. From what I have heard, this kind of action has all the earmarks of some RHS folks. Lots of petty politics and infighting going on over there.
  4. You said you noticed it as you were "pullin up," not as you were walking through, liar. You truly are as ignorant as the fake country writing you are trying to use to hide your identiy. As another part of proof of your ignorance, you have no right to see any cameras associated with the school or any other school. Good luck trying to see them. You will get sent away quicker than you can think of a response to this post. You might want to look up FERPA before you walk in and make yourself more of a donkey than you already have on here. At least here you can hide your identity. That will be hard to do walking into a school building. Copying STARSNBARS style of writing only make you look stupid, not original. Creating a screenname to post lies only makes you look like a coward. Either way, it proves your posts are not worth anything, you are a liar, and you have some issue with CHS that you are not man enough to handle out in the open. To prove me right, you will continue to post under this new screenname and you will continue to lie. Cowards always continue in their folly. I know you won't let me down. I can't wait for your next proof of cowardice and falsehood.
  5. You, Sir, are a liar and trying to stir something up against the team that has a lot of other teams worried. Want me to prove you are a liar? Because of the set up of the CHS gym and entrance and hallways, you can't see into the gym as you are "pullin up." It is not possible in any way. Liar. Sad how you had to make up a new screen name to come on here and post a lie.
  6. From what I see and hear, more athletes than in a very long time are coming. Lots of very athletic kids in the middle schools are excited about coming to CHS, and this came from the guidance counselors and AP that have been registering rising freshmen at the feeder schools. I don't hear the typical talk going around about going to Franklin from Freedom any more. Its looking good in the building with the new attitude, and looking good in the future with the middle schools. There appears to be a new day dawning. I'm sure there are a lot of naysayers and a lot of folks that dont want to hear it. Rector and staff are doing a great job. I've heard that there is an entirely new look uniform and helmet is coming too.
  7. Last move? Are you serious? I'm not the quitter you are, and I am not who you think I am. Ummmm, that quote is from Proverbs 16:18. But thanks for giving me credit for it. I'm sure Solomon won't mind sharing credit, and putting me on par with the wisest man ever is quite the compliment. Thanks! Thats why your playing days never were and your coaching days never should of been; you were always outworked and outsmarted. Enjoy the armchair, coach. You are a real pro there.
  8. Who is being "squeezed" out? With a new head coach, the coach decides who is on his staff and who is not. There is no squeezing to happen. There is rarely much real football knowledge from the parent perspective in the blue seats. Leave it to the professionals; the coaches who are being paid. Pride goes before the fall. Confidence is a good thing in a coach. Pride is the mark of immaturity. Perhaps your squeezed coach will learn a life lesson from this.
  9. You must be very bitter from always being on patrol. Leave off the "Go Cougars!" You're obviously not a fan with all your sniping. Two great, respected, well known, highly successful coaches and you say something so stupid. Jealousy is eating you up.
  10. Hogan didn't because you don't work at CHS, but I did Doesn't this make things even MORE intriguing for the Cougars if he comes on board?
  11. That explains a lot of your posts. Your kid not get enough playing time? Don't think your kid can handle Rector? Don't bother answering. You already have.
  12. You got me on that. They never let you call any plays. Just stood around on the sideline. Wont be standing there next year, will you? haha.
  13. You need a clue to figure out who you are? Wow. Explains some play calling.
  14. Like you and one or two others taht didnt have the stones to make a difference in righting the ship? Pretty sad to sit back and throw daggers. Weak and pathetic. Just like your example on the field. Glad you jumped ship. Deny it all you want. You let it slip who you are.
  15. You are wrong. After Dr. Brown called the team down to tell them who their new coach was, several students came by and saw me at the end of the day. A young man, wide a a barn door, who was a senior and did not play this past season was very upset that he would not have the chance to play for Coach Rector.
  16. CHS had a lot of horses in the halls that just did not play. They were elibible, athletic, and a few had some good size. They could have contributed tremendously, they just didnt want to play with things being as they were. I think a lot of those kids will come out for Rector.
  17. Fantastic hire. Get ready to work hard Cougars.
  18. I have been a coacht reader for years and have never felt compelled to get involved with the posting. However, I think it is time. I am not directly involved with the decisions being made at Centennial for their new head coach, but I am about as close as you can get. While the assistant principal who is over athletics is involved, there is no doubt who is the catalyst for change. She is a very good lieutenant for a very good general and the changes are coming from the top. They make a very good team. They will hire a great coach. Coaches want to work for a principal that is a strong supporter of football. But beyond football, Dr. Brown is pushing all areas of the school and making positive changes by leaps and bounds. I have heard some of the names of who has applied. I have heard the numbers of who have applied. They list is impressive and there are several true coaching legends that have applied. The latest I have heard is that it is far exceeding 100 applicants. There are multiple head coaches with state championsips to their credit who have applied and I was told that from the top. There are multiple coaches from the college ranks who have applied. There are huge numbers of younger coaches with coordinator experience for championship teams that have applied. Yes, I am a supporter. Yes, I know athletics. Let the process run its course. Speculation and rumors are often sport and entertainment for some, but don't let it get so overboard that it taints the school. CHS is a great school with a great future, in all areas. It indeed does have a strong athletic base. It indeed is a sleeping giant. And the new leadership is waking that giant and is setting high standards and expectations for the entire school. Please dont slam this as the typical naysayers do. I am simply a very close supporter of a great school that is only getting better.
