  1. Hopefully my last post...I have only been on this site for one year (notice the few posts). So I confess, what has been said on this site in years past, I have no knowledge of, just seems like the "talk" has been more from the East directed at D7. Maryville certainly deserves everyone'd respect. They are in my my minf the heavy favorite in 6A. May the best team win.
  2. I am not indicting all East TN, just historically those teams in District One and Two (exceptions Morr. West, Sullivan South, and Greeneville before they moved down) have not been competitive with the Knoxville Area teams. So it is not surprising that the Knox areas team look good for the first two rounds. I am not anti-East TN. I just do not understand the piling on of District 7 AAA. I see some uncharitable comments coming from D7 fans, but more coming from East TN fans.
  3. I am not that guy. I thought Oak Ridge would beat Riverdale last year. My point is simply this: I grew up in East Tennessee and now live in Murfreesboro and every year the knoxville area teams get first and second rounds matchups with East TN teams and we all know how "tough" those matchups tend to be. In the end, there is only one champion. There are currently three east teams, three mid-state teams and two west teams left. Good luck to all.
  4. Because we are not playing northeast tn teams!!!
  5. Your seeding projections are incorrect. District winners are seeded first. Runners-up are then seeded. Finally wild cards are seeded. Here are a few examples of the mistakes you made. 1. Farragut cannot seed higher than Sevier Co. if like you predict, Sevier Co. wins out. Sevier Co. would be a district winner and Farragut would be a runner up. 2. You have Siegal winning out. This would make them district runner-up in D7 (also because you also have Riverdale beating Oakland), thus making Blackman a wildcard. Therefore, Coffee Co. would be seeded higher than Blackman in Quad 2 because Coffee Co. would be a Runner-up and Blackman qualifies by wild card. Hope this helps.
  6. About those predictions...I doubt Siegal wins both games against Independance and Smyrna. More power to them though if they do.
  7. Signal's offense looked great until early fourth quarter. They could not stop Blackman's Running game (but no one has yet).
  8. Coming from a Blackman fan: the game, believe it or not, was close into the 4th quarter. Blackman could not stop SM's offense (and neither could Signal stop blackman's), and then all of a sudden, SM could not do anything right (3 pick 6's). Signal Mountain is better than the score indicated.
  9. I live in Rutherford Co. and attend Blackman games. Right now, they do not look to be as good as they were last year (there only losses last year were two losses to runner-up Smyrna). Mathers is a very explosive rb, but will fumble from time to time. Teams are stacking the box and trying to get Blackman to pass. Mathers is still averaging over 200 per game, I think. But it is the defense that is really the concern against Signal Mountain. I look for this to be a high scoring game.
