The Coaches at DCA are all about themselves. They never take responsbility for things that happen in the program/games. All the blame is put on the players, they don't work hard enough, they don't care and so on and so on ... It is a real shame because in previous years they have had alot of talent and should have gone alot further than they did. But by the end of the season the players are so broken down by being told they are worthless, and no good that they are ready for the nightmare to end! It is sad that coaches don't take the time to make these kids better players and put inthe extra work . A lot of these players play because they love the sport and want to possibly get a football scholarship but there is no help in that area either. Other sports have a few players that get scholarships in their sport but not in football, not in several, several years. DCA has a good education department where the teachers do put forth the effort with these children, and have alot of good things going for them, but the football program really needs a fresh coaching staff that will be a positive role model for these kids and help them acheive their dreams.

BigENS is not a DCA ex coach or player .Look at his name.... and previous posts.... he bashes every private school except ENSWORTH. He doesn't think any school compares to his BIG ENSWORTH! He also made reference to Coach Wade!

I totally agree with you BigENS. DCA sure could use some help and it is a shame they will not put forth the effort on this kid. . You are exactly right about favoritism.

That is not possble . USN has a bus that brings the boys to practice everyday and waits on them and takes them back to USN as a group. If that were true then the other two players that play every game would have the same punishment. The boy played in a scrimmage and was screamed at on the field for not knowing what to do. One of the coaches yelled get him off the field! That was the last I saw of him. Isn't that the coaches job to TEACH him what to do

I cannot speak for the Kennedy's but I have watched Kyle Kennedy play all season ,he is a big reason why they went undefeated in the district this year.He is team player and a leader. He is an honor roll student and very well mannered and a mature young man. I am sure his parents are proud of him. I am also surprised that the Kennedy kid was left off of the all district team.While Johnston is a good player, I believe the Erickson kid to be a better player .I do believe that DCA's starting 5 should all be on the all district team, because they have proven it on the floor this year.

I agree... I did not bring Welch into this. I just stated that we are a better UNITED team this year! I have stated several times he is a good player,never said he wasn't.How am I mistaken?

1. We are playing better as a team without him. 2.meaning it takes more than 1 player, it takes the team, not comparing them two as players 1 to 1.saying Jenkins was a great player but to make it to the end it takes the entire team not just 1 awesome player. 3.I am a parent but I do not have children at DCA only nieces and nephews. 4.I do feel our team plays better , yes answered a question saying we would be better with him, we will not know that for sure because he quit DCA. My opinion we are a better team. 5.is a comination of different answers to statements that were made. So I hope that helps you SmokeStackI.....

I do recall excatly what ws said. My statement was that DCA is playing better this year without Welch.Speaking to parents and coachesthey agree. We are playing team ball. Last year it was indivdual play not team play. Yes Welch put up some numbers , I watched the games as well.I am not ripping Welch I have said he is a good player. I am only stating our team this year is working much better together.Selfish is what I was told that described the team last year and he was on the team.I know the game very well Mr.Welch.

Again why don't you worry with ENSWORTH and what is going on at your school and stop posting false statments about DCA. Why play Ensworth the biggest recruiting school in Nashville?Why would you want to play us? Well you were given some FALSE information. So that leads me to belive that you did not speak to a DCA teacher.Because several things you have written are totally false.Javvon did not quit the basketball team this year, De has never left the school, Kyle did not play basketball last year but had nothing to do with Welch.From what I heard it was for his own reasons. Every post I see from You BIGENS you like to stir up trouble. I have been at DCA for a number of years watching my neices and nephews play and I have met the Kennedy dad he is very nice man and DCA parents and coaches and Kennedy dad have no issues. It seems like you have the issues with Kennedy's dad not DCA ! It also seems like you have some personel issues with DCA calling out the coaches the way you did. Is it possible that you are from a school that can't beat us?? I would suggest before you make another post like this one I would make sure you have your facts straight, because you are way off.

I do agree he will add to the team for sure. He is a good player no doubt. But I still feel the other schools are more solid as a TEAM. USN only has 1 player really that is scorring. The other 3 teams have solid 5-6 players that can lead at any game.With Welch they will better but not at the top immediately. Yes DCA would be stronger with him,, but seeing last years team and this years team I still feel the team plays more as a TEAM this year without him. Their was alot of friction last year with the team and Welch I feel.Jenkins to Welch was only to state it takes more than 1 player.No gold ball for winning the region .but you take it one step at a time to get there and that comes first.
