I agree that this district could be up for grabs. I believe that Pickett and Clarkrange has the most experience by not really losing no one from last year, and they were the district champions and runner ups from last year. I give props to JCounty for hanging tough in the game against Crange, I believe clarkrange should have won by more than they did. They looked like they have never seen a press and had way too many turnovers. Dont know if the jackson county crowd and pressure of the game just got to them but they did not play well at all, until the free throws and Technical free throws. This will be a very interesting year. Be looking forward to seeing Clay County come to the range and see how that turns out. Will be a big game.

I thought the same when I wastched the Maplewood game. They played a really good game, but that team ran Clarkrange to death. They constantly pushed the ball, so I'm sure they were very tired come the Westmoreland team. I believe they are still a very good defensive team as to the way they played last night in the Hall of Fame games. They come out and lost to Cookeville by 2(with a chance to win at end). and beat Smith County handily. Clarkrange is a team you cant just guard one guy on offense and they play good D. Of the 3 games they have played good on there have been 3 different guys that have carried the bulk of the scoring. It's gonna be a very interesting year in the district.

Oh wow! he got a technical. I'm sure he's the only one in the region that got a technical too. There's no way that it's possible for anyone to get a Technical with the reffing the way it is in the region. It's horrible throughout the whole region. If i played today I'd get more than just a technical.

From first hand getting to watch Trent Boles single handedly beat Crange at Crange. I can say that CCounty was probably the most dangerous outside shooting team in the region last year. The "convincing" wins dont always mean a lot. Clay being a three point shooting team they were obviously not shooting well the game they lost by 16. When they played their game and hit their shots they beat FC 2 out of 3 times throughout the year. I know how the 3 point teams are. Heck you watched the same game Crange and FC played in region. Crange lives and dies by the 3 and they got killed by it that game. FC dont shoot them and they go to the line. Crange didn't and got beat easily. I'd almost bet if you play that game again FC dont beat them that bad again. Clay played the same type of game that CRange did except most everything Clay done went through Trent.

I wasn't at the MTSU camps so they very well could've gotten ran over by FC. I went to all the tech camps and they played decent for the most part. Yes they were nothing amazing but played a few good games. If they played the same type of game in MTSU you prolly noticed that they are a 3 pt shooting team and are VERY VERY small. the SG is the tallest player on the team at 6'1. Granted the camp teams will struggle because of a huge height problem. but if they do get the big man that is supposed to be then they will be tough. But again any teamn that lives by the 3 can also die by the 3. It should be a fun season to watch.

I believe it will be pc and crange again. Ya crange lost jones but that was all. If they do get the big guy from crossville then jonnes is replacd. They have been playing well in the previous camps. Clarkrange has a deeper team than last year, which will help a lot. They play one of better defenses I've seen in district for a long time. As long as they continue that they have more than a shot at district or region

There isn't any "impact" players back this year but there are very good and young teams. Pickett county of course is the defending champs with just about all their main pieces in place so they will be tough. Clarkrange will be jst as tough if not tougher than last year. They lost Jones but may have an incoming player from crossville to play in the post, and they have henry twins and rest of the same team from last year's runner up squad. I believe these two teams will battle it out again for district.

its just a rumor and i have no clue how much is behind it but I heard he was going to be assistant at Stone? Just curious if anyone else heard the same or what? I dont see him assisting anywhere, he's way too good of a coach to be assistant unless its college level. Just curious if there is anything to the rumor.

No one can be sleeping on Clarkrange. They have been the doormats of baseball for years and years but they are coming around strong. They have an outstanding coach and didn't really lose a lot from last year's team that won like 14 straight games. They will be a tough team and can be very well capable of challenging JCounty or Monterey for district.

But I paid attention to the game and not crying about refs. I don't think i seen FC take but 1 maybe 2 three point shots. They didn't hardly shoot the ball at all. Everything FC did was go to the hole and get fouled. When you do that your going to go to the line, and the refs are doing their jobs. I'm from CRange and we shot a whopping 2 free throws. but we didn't go to the hole like FC did. At first I wondered about the JC and FC game and thought maybe it was horrid reffing, because refs are bad in the area for the most part. But watching FC play, IF they played against JC the way they did against CRange they deserved to live at the free throw line!

Congratulations to FC on their win last night against Clarkrange. We were heavily outmanned. like u guys said it is very tough to play 6 people against a very talented deep team. At the end of the 1st quarter we couldn't get anything to fall. Our boys probably couldn't threw a rock in the ocean. FC had a great game against us. Yes Jones #15 is a senior. he will be missed badly. Someone else is going to have to step up and score some to help out. You cant have just 3 guys scoring in a good team like last night, and expect to win games. Someone will have to step up. good luck to FC and CC in the championship. I expect a great game. I believe FC will pull out the win.

these will be 2 great games. really glad to see Pickett and Clay find one another again in the region. This will be a classic rematch from district tourney. I'm gonna say Clay wins this one. PC is playing great ball, but in district Boles really didn't have a great game, which was part of good D from PC, but i see Boles having a better game and Clay pulling out the win. On the other game, there really isn't a rivalry or anything. Neither team knows about the other one except for game film. Last time i know of We have played FC was 2 year ago in Region Tourney. Of course I am going to pull for CRange. I believe it will be a very hard fought game on both sides. If someone steps up besides the Twins and Jones I believe Clarkrange will win. Just like against RBS we had a big contribution from everyone. Will be an awesome game. Anyone wants to see 2 great ball games should definantly be in watertown Tuesday Night!!! Go Buffaloes!

I'll agree that this was probably the best reffing game I have seen all year. The refs let them play, they were consistant all night. RBS did play a great game. We did have one guy that did decide to show up and stand out. Our PG Garrett Stults ended up with 13 or 14. he was only player on our team in double figures. That's best game that kid has had all year. Glad he decided to finally have a good game. Just hope that we can continue what we're doing aginst Friendship Christian tuesday. be a good game. All and all very good game to RBS. played their hearts out.

i completely agree. i'll admit i was one of the fans earlier that didn't agree with coaches. I wasn't complaining about playing time or whatever just the coaching style that was run. but after this year i guess i have woke up and realized what the coach is doing he obviously knows. clarkrange has won more games this year than they have in a long time. and have had a top defenses in state at one point. but the blaming of the refs that consistantly goes on is ridiculous. i saw a fan chase a ref out the door tonight. that was pretty horrid. very mature.

i am definantly fan. i just dont see the point in screaming and chasing refs out the door. and blaming everything on the refs. Yeah they suck and they make horrid calls but it happens every single game. i've never seen refs get every single call right, they are human. we look like retards standing there chasing refs out doors lol

i think everyone has those "fans". I guarantee Clarkrange does. all some of thos fans know how to do is blame the refs for losses. It's impossible that the better team won on that given night!

Congradulations on trousdale county's HUGE win over CRange. I was there and I'll have to say this is the worse I have ever seen Clarkrange girls play. They couldn't throw a rock in the ocean. They didn't know how to play defense the whole game. They allowed Trousdale to control the ball and the clock the whole game, great game from Trousdale. I also have to say that it absolutely pains me being a CRange fan to sit and watch how big of idiots our fans are. You wonder why we cant host any games, because everyone acts like jack butts in the stands. I'll be first to admit that refs suck most the time but the suck consistantly. They dont call fouls on either side of the floor, not just Trousdale's. All CRange fans wanted to do was yell and accuse refs of losing the game, blah blah blah. We were in bonus and Trousdale was not. So how we get cheated by refs????? maybe if we had played defense, or hit free throws it would be different. I'll again congradulate Trousdale on their win, they deserved. They played their hearts out and pulled off the upset. I was more glad to see the fans storm the floor after the win. That was priceless. good job for a school like that to pull that game off!

Just as Crange fan and not seeing RBS play didn't know what to expect myself. guess we'll see u guys tomorrow night. should be a good game. we have a pretty balanced team or 6 players, we really dont have a bench at all. got 1 freshman comes off bench and that it.

I dont know anything about RBS not watched their games in 3 years. but is there any talent on that team other than Grace? As a fan just curious of who to watch out for during the game tomorrow night when the travel to Clarkrange.

well i guess i'll throw my "bold predictions" in since everyone else has. I'm taking Pickett over watertown in a convincing win Clarkrange over RBS by 10 Friendship over jackson in a close game Clay over Gordonsville, wont be close clarkrange over Friendship in a nail biter, free throws will decide game Clay will beat Pickett this time around Clarkrange will finally get over the 10 year slump against clay and finally beat them for championship. Just my predictions on the matter lol

the seats have been redone during the summer. I dont know how it provided more seats but it's supposed to. The girls, to my knowledge, are only ones on the ban and not the boys. That same year that ban took effect Clarkrange girls and boys both still hosted a Region game and there were no fuss about it. The big deal come around when the girls hosted the sub-state game and there were no seats, or there were no "reserved" seats for visiting team. But again the seats have been changed this past summer to supposedly hold more people.

Everyone I have talked to players, and personell from Clarkrange are saying they will host RBS saturday night. I know the girls are traveling to Trousdale but everyone is saying that CRange will be home for this game.

as far as my knowledge Clarkrange does not have to travel. That ban was aginst the girls only. Clarkrange will host RBS still.
