  1. HAHA As for me sitting beside DD for 3 hours a day....dont be jealous . "Hargrove is the BEST defensive player to ever play for Polk County." If so why did Allen win the Chatt Times D player of the year, not Hargrove?? And yes i went there . I will answer why he didnt win it. Allen made the game changing plays for PC, for example the caused fumble that PC recovered the turned into 6, and pick 6 against south pitt.. thats just one game defensivly. He made plays like that all the time Allen was THE defference maker, anyone that knows the game and watched him can tell you that. Hargrove did not fit the system at all with his selfish play, and anyone that played with him and thinks that he did probably didnt fit either. Just ask his fellow LB, the one he played beside all year. He will tell you word for word what i just did. As for me "downing" his play, i never did. I agree he was a good player, but also recogize his lack of leadership, and his "ME" additude. Not taking away from his play but simply stating facts! . Go Wildcats!!
  2. Your right they did win it, but who did they play?? PC could have handled everyone on Signal's schedual last year. SM came a way with a slim win over SP, and PC put the mercy rule on SP. Do the math.
  3. You wanna ask a teammate? Ask me. He was a very selfish player. All for himself. If something was going wrong it could never be his fault in his eyes. He was a good football player but very selfish he did not fit into the way Polk County football is played and thats as a team
  4. Did't Michael Hargrove make All-State in football junior and senior year? Not sure but I think so. I think he and Allen had offers in both sports for college, but Allen knew he was going for baseball early on. Both players definitely will be among the best. He did indeed, but i was thinking more to the additude part of the player when I picked Allen. He is one of the few great ones to have on the field , that didint come with alot of the side drama that others did.
  5. Best of luck to EH. I had the privilege of working with Coach Gatewood in the TN vs. KY all-star game. He is a swell guy and good coach
  6. Very well put! But the 2009 final was 16 to 0. Not that in matters. One of the most yucky nights as far as weather goes for everyone
  7. Trust me, that was not an onside kick. I was in the huddle when it was called. One of the few mistakes our kicker made that year
  8. I would agree about Beene Stadium. SP always has alot of support and the field itself is settled right in the middle of a small town. Oh and believe me its a hard place to play
  9. I dont have any stats but i know this kid could have played college football if he had not already signed with UTK for baseball. He is one if not the best atheletes to come through Polk County, All-State in football and baseball. Jared Allen from good ol PC
  10. I 3rd that! Who can even challenge Polk? Before you Sequoyah fans start on that, let me remind you PC had there starters pulled at the start of the 3rd last year.
  11. No offence to PC's kicker but, he had already missed one PAT and shanked a kickoff that cause MC to have 40 yards to go to tie the game. As for that being a bad call i disagree. Now the play call on the other hand was terrible. Why run it wide on a wet field when you have a full back who shreaded MC all night and a better O than D front??
  12. I highly doubt another mercy rule on South Pitt. I look for the pirates to come back to that game looking for revenge. Should be a good one. Go Wildcats!
  13. PC will be a good football team once again. Eventhough they lost some key players, there will be more step up and fill there shoes. Look for Akins, Farmer, Phillips, and Saxe to lead the team, combine that with the great coaching staff, and that makes for a fun team to watch. GO WILDCATS!!
  14. Good luck to the chargers in the 2011 season
  15. I had not planned on posting in this thread, but that just rubs me the wrong way. McMinn Central had a good team in 2008, i dont think it would have made a difference who the OC was, eventhough i dont think it would have been a blow out. However in 2007 the better football team did not win that one. If L. Davis had been making the play calls that game would never have been close. Oh ya, 89charger, just because you have a good team ever 15-20 years dont even put you on the same level as PC. Polk County could have hung 90 on the baby blue last year and the up coming year if coach D. Davis didnt have so much class. Just think about that before you put MC and PC in the same sentence
