  1. Lexington.......then everyone else! Lexington is loaded with quality pitching and defense. Their batting isn't loaded, but they have a few hitters. They will win a lot of low scoring games... Pitchers: P-Ryne Odle P-Michael Spain P-Ethan Small Returning Hitters: Nick Gulliam Michael Spain Jacob Bolen Tyler Yarbro Mathew Cagle Payton Anderson Ethan Small
  2. Well, your getting yet another shot. What has it been? 4 straight losses to the Big Red? Still standing strong on that "Guarentee" to beat Lexington if we meet in the playoffs?
  3. In 14AA no one even compares to Lexington on physicality. Strong physical schools are few and far between, Lexington is extremely physical.
  4. Maybe personal observation, certainly not educated. You may not care if anyone disagrees, but your "educated opinion" will be discredited by a school that does. Page is a DragonSlayer, they don't care how good you think you are.
  5. There are many ways to play the game, but the physical brand of football is always the preferred method. Is your school more physical than the rest? Convince us why!
  6. Not so fast! That's a bold statement this time of year. Giles, Greeneville & Lexington might disagree with you on that one! "The most physical team in 4A", that's a seperate thread in itself.

  11. Bottom 10 FC 1 HN 1 Huntington batting: 8,9,1 coming up....
  12. Top 9 2 Outs Runners at 1st and 3rd for FC Huntington Starting Pitcher is at 143 pitches!!!
  13. Post scores and updates during AA State Tourny games.
  14. 2012 LHS Tigers are young, fast, and very versitle. Having lost 4 Seniors and there starting Catcher from last year's State Finals team, this years team has some pretty large holes to fill. The Tigers will gain 3 strong Pitchers on this years team that were not on the roster last year. Pitching depth will be a strength on this years club. Speed has not been a part of Tiger Baseball in the recent past but this year they have it almost everywhere. The two glaring holes this team will have to overcome will be the loss of the District MVP (Russ Henderson) and their best pitcher Andrew Fiddler. Although Lexington will lack a top flight pitcher, the depth they have will offer them opportunities to match up with opposing hitters (4 RHP's/3 LHP's). Their Defense should improve on the left side of the infield as there are 5 capable players fighting for those two spots. At the plate the Tigers will have to find different ways to score runs with Henderson's power bat gone. The speed will come into play as this team should be exciting to watch on the basepaths. With trips to the Spring Fling each of the last two years, this year the program is reloading and should make a strong run at the Spring Fling once again. Good Luck
  15. BlackandGoldforLife, wow that's a long name. Was FUBAR already taken? Look B&G4L, that was a nice rant, but you E Tenn guys better buckle up for playoffs. West is coming and were taking your dreams and the trophy when we leave. So keep beating up on the little sisters of the poor and telling yourselves your good.
  16. I should realize that an inflated Greenville ranking due to a soft schedule fools people into believing their good? Greenville in no more than garbage in a gold wrapper. When your team gets in front of a real program the wake up call will come, I will give Greenville some credit, they would probably finish 3rd in our district in front of Liberty, but behind Chester County. Sorry AllThatMatters, that's what happens when your district is actually tough.
  17. Lexington plays in arguably the toughest 4A district in the state. Lexington, Chester County, Liberty are all legit programs and even South Side and Bolivar are talented. Greenville plays district games against subpar programs in which they can run up the score. The body of work Lexington has compiled this year should leave no doubt. Of course there is that weighted scale of East Tennessee bias that always seems to come into play. Everybody wants a shot at Lexington, but careful what you wish for East & Middle Tennessee. Many have tried, and all have failed to knock off the Tigers in 2011!
  18. NO! Deion didnt hit like our corners do!
  19. Oh yea, Good call. She turned into a toothless skagg then got rolled up by the Tigers! It's not looking good for Cinderella on this one. Weve got a woodshed, we pound people, and shes got no teeth come Friday night! Party time for the TIGERS!!!!
  20. I didnt state Liberty had injured players following the game with Lexington, but they were beat up, both sides were. That's what happens when two teams that hit square off. The physical nature of the game absolutely left Liberty with a hangover and YES it did have an impact on their game with North Side. This will contiune to be the case when the Tigers face off with Cinderella. She's going to get roughed up all night and the physical tole will hinder their ability to compete with Liberty. Cinderella has run her course and come Friday night shes turning back into a pumkin, and Lexington loves smashing pumkins!!!
  21. Lexington is very fast on both sides of the ball. CC has not seen speed at this level yet, and may get overwhelmed early because of it. CC must be concerned with just surviving Lexington's speed in the 1st quarter and may be out of this game early because of it. Additionally, Lexington has the big hit ability you just dont see very often at this level. Liberty was not able to bounce back from the Lexington hits and dropped the next game to North Side (your welcome North Side). CC will be in a similar situation as they will probably lose on consecutive Friday's because of the damage they recieve in Lexington. In the end, Lexington has too many weapons on both sides of the ball. CC (Cinderella) is a nice early season story but if your looking for Cinderella on Friday night you better check behind the Wood Shed! Lexington will be taking her there early and often.
  22. Lexington wins over DeKalb Co. 5-2 in winners bracket game
  23. First two hitters reach base to lead off the 6th followed by a strikeout, baserunning blunder to retire the trail runner, and groundout to third to end the inning. Lexington leads Dekalb Co. 4-2 heading to bottom of the 6th.
