  1. Moore County hoping to get 6'1" junior center back by mid January making them a strong contender come district tournament time. Pre district tourney I see it #1 Chapel Hill #2 Moore County #3 Community #4 MTCS #5 Eagleville #6 Huntland #7 Fayetteville City but only my opinion.... I've been wrong a few times....
  2. Surely your not relying on this one game. I'm sure Miss Rhodes has and Miss Raby have had good scoring games in that caliber as well.
  3. Not a sure thing, but I would like to think Moore County to host Collinwood and Summertown to host Nashville Christian. We'll know in a few hours, I guess.
  4. Very tough game in both contests tonight. Cascade should have won, came out flat and cold in the third, couldn't make a shot. Dissapointing end to their season definitely a state tourney contender, Forrest and Moore County battled like old enemies, Coach Jean did a great job getting his young girls up for this tourney, they will be a force in the years to come. As for Moore County vs Nashville Christian, look for a lot of ball pressure, must keep their shooters a step out of their range. Should be close early, Moore County too strong inside win going away by 8-10.
  5. You make the call!! Sarah Raby career stats total points as of this date 1,851 total rebounds: 736 total steals:135 total assists 96 56% career fg % 70% career free throw % Pretty good numbers wouldn't you say.
  6. Good opening round for 9A teams, Moore County to play a hot Forrest team, Coach Jean will have his girls ready for Moore County. Should be a close one this time. Just found out this game is at 7:30 and Cascade's game is at 6:00 on Monday both will be played at Eagleville.
  7. Both teams have to get through Friday night before this even matters. Coach Slatten has the girls focused on WH\Heritage now, but will immediately have the girls in the gym Saturday if they win tomorrow night to be loading up for whomever they will play.
  8. i BELIEVE THE 3-02 GAME IS THE OLD SUB-STATE GAME, 02-29 WILL BE REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, THE WINNER HOSTS ON 3-02 AND THE LOSER TRAVELS ON 03-02
  9. Let's just go ahead and give Jaycee the Miss Basketball award and Jackson County and Clarkrange the gold and silver balls, 'cause apparently no one else is in their league in class A!!!
  10. Most district 9 folks realize how good our district really is. We get to find out Friday night how good is district 10 this year. All should be great games to watch!
  11. I can c district 9A sweeping all 1st round games, but if not, the 10a1 and 2 will have tough games, I really don't c the 9A 1 and 2 losing at home, but anything could happen.
  12. Moore County finally plays a complete game, both offensively as well as defensively. Best 32 minutes they've played since double overtime win against North Sand Mountain out of Alabama during Christmas tourney. With 7 to 8 players contributing good minutes. Seems to definitely be coming into their own. Look for them to be ready to go come Friday night against district 10A #4 in Lynchburg!!!!
  13. Chapel Hill by 3; Moore County by 12, only my opinion
  14. Moore County by 15, Forrest by 3. Playing at Motlow will really be a neutral site for all teams. no benefit there for Moore County as they do not typically get any practice time there. Most definitely in this type of atmosphere, the better team should definitely prevail in all the games from here on.
  15. Both games should be good to watch. congrats to all 4 teams as win or lose , they will advance to play in the regional tourney the following week in Eagleville.
  16. top 4 teams in district 9a hosts on Friday, 02-08, then on Monday 02-11 semi-finals held at Motlow State Comm. College. Thursday afternoon 02-14 girls consolation, Thursday night girls championship keep up to date on coacht's scoreboard.
  17. Can't help to think, come February 21, Sarah Raby from Moore County will be on the list for class A, with her career numbers, should really be a contender for the title of Miss Basketball.
  18. sarah raby had 16 pts, Cascade played well and made some key plays that kept the game close. Moore County was n't able to get the knock-out blow they were looking for.The tournament sets the stage for who advances next. Everybody better take each game as their last, 'cause it very well could be if they're too cocky.
  19. well so much for the AP poll being a joke, looks like we've started a new topic on who's gonna be at mboro. I'll play along here's my top 8 in class a: Cosby Hampton Clarkrange Jackson County Moore County Summertown Union City Dresden
  20. Moore County played sloppy at times allowing Cascade to stick around. Too much emotions being senior night and all for the girls from Lynchburg. Lucky to get a w in this game. Looking forward to the tourney. It all starts now!!!
  21. How about Sarah Raby, senior forward from Moore County, currently the seventh leading scorer in the midstate in all classifications, averaging right at 18 pts\game, 7 rebounds\game, 2 steals and 2 assists. Pure leader on and off the court. Closing in on 2000 pts for her career. a good choice here.
  22. District 9A tourney will be held at Motlow State Community College in Moore County, with the folks from Lynchburg hosting this year. While the Regional 5A tourney is scheduled to be held at Eagleville High School
  23. The AP voting folks are a joke when voting for girls class a basketball. There's no way Houston County and Moore County should not be ranked above North Greene and Cascade and maybe even Hampton. The truth will reveal itself in just a few weeks, though.
  24. Looks like I was wrong. very good game, though, congrats to cascade
