Not just a few seconds either. And they didn’t put any time back on even when they saw it. Just focus on stopping our passing and RUN game now.......

This is off topic but Lenoir City decided to contact Ryan to schedule a game for the 4th week next year. I wonder if it’s a coincidence that he waited until this senior class was gone....? 5A scared to play a 1A

Ouch. Definitely Grace week

And more times than not, that safety valve can really hurt you if you don’t pick it up.

After watching film of GCA vs Webb, TKA, and Boyd, our secondary will not be able to play soft coverage or Bradley will call quick game until we decide to adjust. And that’s not just the cornerbacks, the safeties are gonna have to come up and make some tackles too. This game will come down to: can GB keep their eyes in the right place in the secondary, can we pressure the QB, and can we run the ball to set up the passing game. Their best receiver is #25 about 6’4” 220 or so pounds. We will have to keep him in check and make Kirby use the other receivers, which he will. And when we make a good play, it’s okay to get excited with your teammates. We sometimes have a bad habit of wanting to taunt and stand out as individuals. Can’t have that this game.

I was feeling a lot better about this game before we played OZ. But now I’m kinda worried. Defense will need to have a fast transition from focusing on 100% run to focusing on basically 100% pass. This game will be determined, as most of them are, from the line of scrimmage. If our front 4 can get some pressure and actually secure the tackle, we’ll be okay. But if we give Kirby time to sit and sling it, we’ll be lucky to get home with 60 points being hung on us. First game back at Cooper field in 4 weeks, I think we’ll be ready to play. That is, with our pads and not our mouths.

Oliver Springs is a very much improved ball team from last year and years past. But lemme say this... regardless of the score and how GB played, nothing can be said because this team day in and day out finds a way to win. They are winners. However, OZ fought the first half and was whooping us. Second half was a completely different story. And for this GB team, everyone knows the passing game is ahead of the run game. But if you look at tonight’s game, we won having more rushing yards than passing and 400 yards of total offense (which is probably the season low.........). For those of you saying GB didn’t look like the best team in the state tonight, we didn’t look like the best team in the state vs Grace last year either but guess what.... we were! After watching film, GB gives OZ two TD’s on turnovers. ‘IF’ those turnovers don’t happen and the touchdown catch wasn’t ruled an incompletion, the score could’ve easily been 42-6. But that’s why you let it play out.

This is what I’ve heard on the offensive stats..... QB #3 - 463 passing yards, 7 TD’s WR #23- 241 receiving yards, 4 TD’s WR #4- 141 receiving yards, 2 TD’s WR #26- 1 receiving TD, not sure on yardage but the TD was around 60-70 yards Just want to say that when the defense gets rolling (did better tonight than last Friday), this team WILL be absolutely scary!!

There's nothing like the first home game of the season. Hopefully, we'll see what this team is actually putting out against CAK. Won't be an easy game by any means, but I believe GB will get the job done like they always do. Unveiling the clocks and special ceremony before the game will definitely set the atmosphere. GB 42 CAK 14...…. that is, if the defense shows up to play.

I know Christ (NC) is where Navy Shuler plays QB. Getting looked at by UT. Saw some highlights on the news last night and he was putting them on the money. Looked like CAK had a good looking QB who could move pretty good. That’s about it. CAK lost 40 something to 7.

Not sure what to take out of this game other than it was sloppy. Which was caused by the dreadful rain the ENTIRE game. Hard to sling the ball around when it weighs 20 lbs. Offense scored at the top of a hat but defense couldn’t stop anything Loudon was doing until Jackson went out with an injury. Only thing to come out of this is great to get a win but defense needs to find something within them to get going and stay going.

Debating whether our offense reaches 40. First game jitters slow us down or will we see explosive offense?

I understand and liked the videos but I was apologizing to other “people” that seemed to have took it the wrong way. I was stating what I thought needed improved on and someone took what I said to another social media platform for everyone else to see as if I was bashing the team.

This GB team has good leadership when it comes to “leading by example” but they need a vocal leader to step up. Get the team going before the game starts. Too many slow starts this year in the preseason scrimmages.

Heard different things from people, but is there only one offensive award and one defensive award, and a kicker? Or is it the same as the past years?

55 and one or two others are about the only ones that will make the pads pop. Compared to teams in the past (even last years team), this team would rather be finesse and score without being touched. They shy away from contact. Great ball team but football isn’t football without the pads popping. Regardless, GB over Loudon by 3-4 TD’s

I’m going to have to back-track and say after seeing Loudon film... GB should win pretty easily. Still need to sure up defensive side of the ball.

This one will be closer than most expect. Will be similar to last year’s game but with GB being more one-dimensional. Seen where people are expecting us to “repeat” but that won’t be the case if we continue to play like we are. On the defensive side.... just let me say this, we are way, way, way behind. It’ll get better but offense better put up some points..... and does anyone know how to get a team to have the will to make the pads pop? Soft.

Yes he plays. He was the 15 year old I mentioned earlier. And our left tackle Derrell Bailey is playing. He was the other 15 year old.
