  1. I heard the same thing. I heard Springfield has very good receivers. I heard Pearl-Cohn looks very much like Oregon offensively in what they are trying to do.

No Not Oregon but a More of a carolina panthers offence but against smyrna they ran the spread but also ran out of the I...They worry was how was pc defense going to hold up this year losing all those playmakers but from the looks of it now without the new kids they look great...3 to 4 "#9 ran a 4.35 this summer and #11 runs a 4.4"hard running Rbs..all 3 qbs are looking good and the WR are making plays and getting open...Middle Tn is playing ball this year in 3A

  2. Seems like smyrna has a Long way to go or Pearl Cohn is that Good..Pearl Cohn Put 56 up on Smyrnas D#..Smyrnas offence is ok...3 Touchsdowns With a Couple of good backs...Smyrnas QB couldn't really throw the ball on PCs starters But near the end the Back up QB threw a lazer down the sideline which turned into a touchdown...

  3. Just left Pearl Cohn and watched there first spring practice and Man There looking Real good right now..The RB that Didn't play last year "Doss"(Torn acl) looks like a lighting bolt coming out of the back field the Freshman RB #9 from last year ankle is 100% He's looking great..WR looking like there on a better page with the QBs also seen the some of the 8th grade class that was sitting on the side watching and Man there BIG..seen a couple of kids that where about 6"2 and built like they could come right in and start at WR....

  4. This schedule is a complete JOKE! Who are these teams anyway?

I'll just lay it out there and say that we are about to mercy-rule all these pretenders by at least 50 a game and blow into Cookeville and claim yet another gold ball. Looking around, this is the strongest schedule in 4A but we will handle it with ease, Just wait you'll see! We need to sue Childress to get the gold ball he robbed us of last year because anybody with a brain knows that we would have mercy-ruled Greeneville while they were playing lawyer ball behind the scenes because they knew they couldn't win against the mighty EAGLES!!!!!!!

  5. Private schools and public schools....humm Coaching: I would give it up to the private schools because they go out and find and "PAY" the coachs real good plus they have some good kids that listen BUT I would also like to say Public schools coachs have a harder time because as good as the Cpa or Ensworth coach is I couldn't see them coaching at a MapleWood or PC because these coachs have to keep up with there kids 365 on and off the field trying to guide these kid in the right way. Athletes: I would give it to the Public school cause to be truthful most of the kids live in a single parent house hold and they don't have the money to pay to go to a private school. You see Pearl Cohn Sent 10 out of Metros 17 to college this year in football. But it also goes on how you label success....My point is If you work hard and put the effort in...Any school can can win or lose...Me personally I don't understand why you wouldn't wanna play a team who everbody say they is better, stonger, faster, and out coached...SOUnds LIKE A challenge TO ME!

  6. heard there could be some boycotting going on next year with some public schools that have privates in their district.

Like I said in a early post we have 2 private schools and a 3 4a schools in our district. We like the challenge! I feel the teams that's crying about this needs to work a little bit harder!

  7. Now Daisy, every poster on CoachT knows you have a very limited mental capacity, but if you say PC is a "garunteed" playoff win, lets change "very limited" mental capacity to "NO" mental capacity.

Nothing is guaranteed but we just like the challenge..It puts extra heat on the game when you playing a team that NOBODY likes you then we always meet and there always undefeated

  8. I would think LA would be the choice of the coaches to win the region. They have the QB back, a very good running back and a ton of good linemen back. One tackle is a very good player. SC possibly 2nd with Dekalb a close 3rd. These two could be switched. York, along with Upperman could very well play a part in the selection of teams. Any of the five teams mentioned could win the region.

Good Luck to SC Owls this year...Hopefully we will meet in the Playoffs again this year...#TeamPC
  9. Feel free to make your list!

My 2012 Class 3A Top 10 Preseason Poll

    1a.) CAK

    1b.) Alcoa

    3.) Milan

    4.) CPA

    5.) Fairview

    6.) Austin-East

    7.) Cheatham County

    8.) Pearl-Cohn

    9.) Westview

    10.) Goodpasture

CAK and Alcoa both return lots of players from this year's teams. I'd expect their quarterfinal meeting in November of 2012 to once again be what decides who represents East-TN in the Blue Cross Bowl. Milan returns a great core as well. CPA and Fairview, both of who were eliminated by Milan, return nearly everyone. Austin-East loses their talented backfield but they return a lot of athletes and I expect them to be playing the eventual Alcoa-CAK winner in the semifinals next year on Thanksgiving. Cheatham County returns everyone from a team that could be next year's "2011 Sullivan North". Pearl-Cohn has major rebuilding to do on defense however they return nearly everyone offensively. Once the Firebirds get the athletes in place defensively they'll once again be a factor. Westview and Goodpasture are two well-coached football programs that will always be in the hunt.

That looks like a great Top 10...and yes pc is going to be heck on wheels these Next 3 or 4 years with how there freshmen played last year...they gone be coming out the gate hitting anything that moves..#TeamPc
  10. CPA is returning a Real good team not losing to many,Maplewood is going to be held up by there D this year dont see them doing to much without vanleer but know them they will a way,East Lit will have another down year,Stratford i feel will surprise alot of folks,Pearl Cohn sent 10 players to Ncaa losing alot of talent but they always seems to Reload Some how,Whites Creek will have a OK year and DL Will have a better year but if i had to line them up it would go like this....

    1.Cpa

    2.PcH

    3.MHS

  11. I'll let you in on an open secret. Many students at the above listed high schools only care to attend games when they are playing each other. It's a rivalry thing with them. The only reason the game with Greeneville was so well attended last year was the result of outside local interest, not students. So if tickets and rides were free many would still not likely attend any games outside of the rivalry games, much like TSU.

TRUE......And @Fbgirl PC home games are packed...You will see more students then...
  12. In the past CPA has played MBA, Ensworth, Father Ryan, ECS, BGA and Riverdale. Realizing when you come off a couple of good seasons schools in your class don't won't to schedule you and you have no choice but to schedule up and sometimes way up. With the latest re-districting by the TSSAA and the ever changing playoff conditions we find ourselves in one of the toughest districts. especially in Mid TN, and playoffs berths that first recognize wins. PC has beaten the odds that a 5-5 regular season means nothing when the playoff starts. Now days it is a gamble playing so far up and sometimes it pays off and sometimes not. As for PC HC IMO he has done a good job getting and keeping these young men to work hard for him. I would just want more fans from his pretty large school to cheer his team on.

Really didn't want to say this but I guess I'm...first you must realize where PC is at...I can say at least 85% maybe more of the students there is raised by a single parent...Mostly Mothers and GrandMothers with other younger kids they have to take care of...So that's the main reason Pc don't have a lot of parents following them..You will mostly see a lot of there Teachers, and some students..but don't get me wrong there are some parents who attend every game...
  13. If this was a backyard game without any coaches PCH wins hands down. But this is high school football and you have coaching that plays a huge part into alot of high school games. Private schools have alot of great coaching. Looking at PCH this season they are 0-4 against the private schools BGA and MBA they didnt havent a chance i dont know about the the CPA game but i was at the Lipscomb game and Pearl had no answer for lipscombs defense the offense could not move the ball they scored their only touchdown on a fumble recovery. PCH has had a great team for about the last 5 years if they had some coaching they would have state titles to prove it. Its going to be a hard faught game to the end but i think PCH coaches crumble to another private school like they have the last 3-5 years they are win less against the private schools..................................................................................

I think Pc Coachs are good and they play teams like Mba,Bga as a measuring stick to see where there at.. Pc has beat some private schools last year..."Cpa & DL" But this year they have fell short to both...But like I said earlyier best luck to both teams...but I'm sticking with PC
  14. I've mentioned this before on other threads and never received a response. I'm still confused, not being extremely familiar with the state association. Folks keep congratulating the 10AA teams: Maplewood, CPA, and Pearl. But, isn't Maplewood a 4A team? So, Maplewood wins the district with 3A teams in it? So, CPA has only one loss - to a 4A team - so they don't win their district? CPA beat Goodpasture head to head and had a better record, but they had to go to Goodpasture? Harpeth HS and Fairview are a closer drive to CPA than Stratford, oGoodpasture, and Maplewood, but they have to drive to those schools ibecause the state association says it's closer? Who in the heck runs/or imakes decisions in your state association? I've never heard of .anything so ludicrous. So, just to be clear, Maplewood is a district .champ with 3A teams in it, although they are a 4A team. Well, heck, .that just makes perfect sense. It seems a bunch of folks just got .around the firepit and drew straws blind. Anyway, I'm excited to see .how round 2 of Pearl-CPA goes. The first one was quite the event. .Good luck to both teams..

P.S. So are Maryville and Alcoa in the same district? Shouldn't FRA have to play BA, Ensworth, MBA, and Father Ryan because the state association deems them closer, as opposed to some of those distant little bitty schools they play? Why doesn't CPA play Nashville Christian? They are right down the street. Does the state association really even care?...d.

10aa has 4 4a and 3 3a schools in it..Its all about the money and where they travel...Nashville only has 4 3a Pc,gp,cpa, east lit.. and most of the programs make BIG MONEY off of these 10aa dis. Games...I we know its kind off messed up playoff time but everybody in our dis is able to play with everyone...there no Big Is or little U's
  15. Really!?! Because he was back there the whole game and by what I saw Friday night he was the fastest. And CPA is better matched because they will defeat PC... I wasn't impressed by PC. It was the tale of two halves, and like Coach Brunetti told me after the game that was the most physical game they've been in all year. Yeah you should be proud of a bigger school taking on a smaller school who held their ground. PC up 20-0 at half and then the 2nd half begun with Harpeth scoring 13 unanswered points and we had a chance to tie the game numerous times in the 4th until PC put one in the end zone late in the 4th. Harpeth was just as good as PC and like I said I'm not very impressed dwith PC and I don't care who your qb is because they all suck just dlook at their stats. It was a war out there and I'm proud of Harpeth dbattling back to make it a great game and atmosphere. I'm going dwith the Lions in this game. And all you PC fans that predicted a dblowout you were fooled by a smaller team in size and depth. DHarpeth showed how to play with heart and size doesn't matterd

True but I posted Pc will win by 2 TD and I also posted harpeth made it to the 2nd round and they will leave everything one the field and they did.. So everything I said was right... Now QBs ok they both freshmans and learning...but they have been getting the job done....now like you told the Smith County fans last week they they couldn't get the job done and to sit back and watch they couldn't get it done neither with our "Bad QB play" Now sit back and Watch Dis 10aa ball at its finest! GOOD LUCK TO ALL 3 teams.....Pc,mhs & Cpa
