Not to mention that almost everyone returned on D and lost 3 people on O. If you played Greeneville's schedule you would already have 3 loses to Science Hill, Mo West, and Alcoa . Not to mention everyone knows west tennessee is known for basketball not football P.S. Glad to see some support from our County brothers. I cheer for yall as long as your not playing Greeneville

I agree with you that CAK will be able to throw on Kingston. I wouldn't say that CAK QB is that Much better than LC's QB. LC's QB is more of a run threat than CAK's QB and avg.'s close to as many yards per throw (9.7 to 11.1)

We didn't get moved down to the Brac....the county schools went from 2a to 3a after the reclassification and Greeneville stayed in 4a. Whenever the TSSAA has a reclassification year (maybe next year?) they can choose to move up if they choose. I doubt they do since they are winning championships

I didn't say YOU talked trash, I said THEY (meaning in general). I heard it all through out high school from county kids when I played for GHS. Now that we GHS does play the county team all we here is "Well you are suppose to beat us since your bigger than us" or "Why don't you play where you are suppose to". You know thats true gcfball

See the difference was Shuffler did it in one half it didn't take him the whole game to get over 300 yards . Was it against a poor team? Yep sure was but he also only played 24 min to do it. That more impressive than anything

Don't mind gcfball guys....he is just mad that they get there butts handed to them by Greeneville every year now. They have talked trash for years since we never played them.

You also said that AE shut down Alcoa's running games which was far from true I've still yet to see any Greeneville fan say we would beat SM by 40 either. Didn't Blackman almost beat SM by 40? and that was with everyone playing!

Putting up over 300 yards of rushing against AE is far from getting shut down! When you have 7 TO's (2 that went for TD's) in a game you aren't going to beat any team. AE never scored an offensive TD and was held to less than 100 yards on Offense. FC didn't score 14 points on out first D. If you weren't there I wouldn't be trying to compare teams rlh. Greeneville used that game to work on their passing game and threw for close to 300 yards. If you know anything about Greeneville then you would know they don't throw the ball the past 2 years.

Greeneville also had there starters out half way through the 3rd quarter too. No one has been able to run all over Greeneville all year thats Greenevilles strength. They have 2 D1 linemen in Hall and Rollins. Just ask Alcoa how good Greenevilles Run D was

I hope your joking? You just got beat by Polk CO. A good but not great 3a team. You skipped 3a because of Alcoa and Greeneville beat them 42 to 14. SM also got smashed by the only other good team they played in Blackman.

rlh made the point I was making. The article states he had a change of address but since he participated at LFO this spring then he could only be eligible to play for Brainerd. If he had not played in GA he would have not had to sit out 365 days and would have been more than likely eligible through a hardship to play at SM since Hamilton Co. already gave him a hardship to attend the school. If the two kids you talked about for Tennessee high that transfered from Maryville and played football for them in 09 did not live in the Tennessee High school zone then that would be a TSSAA violation and would have to sit out 365 before they were able to participate in Sports at TN High even if they had a change of address.

If he had not played varsity sports in 365 days (GA). He would have been able to play at SM because of the hardship from Hamilton Co. even if he was zoned for Brainerd. Ex. Kid has spring practice in NC for 2 weeks. Transfers to Greene Co. and zoned for West Greene but decides to pay tuition to attend GHS he would have to sit out 365 to play sports, but would not have to sit out if he attended WGHS. If the same kid had not played sports in NC for 365 days and did the same thing he would be automatically be able to play at GHS is how it seems.

I never assumed that! The city limits and bus routes place kids in our territory. If not living in the territory all athletes have to sit out a full 365 days to play sports at GHS! If the SM player would have sat out a full 365 from the last day he practice in GA he could play at SM since he recieved a Hardship from Hamilton Co. even tho he is not in SM territory. Sorry we know the rules

He assumed the hardship placed in him SM territory. You know what they say about assuming! . Just cause the school board grants him a hardship to attend SM doesn't mean he is Zoned/in the territory of SM as stated from the TSAA point of view.

I understand what your saying. Every Kid in Greeneville and Greene Co. are zoned for a particler school but have the choice to attend another school because of Open Zoning. You just have to pay a tuition and provide your own transpertation. You can not live in Greene Co. and Still attend GHS or a County school if you a pay a higher tuition so for an example if someone from SM got approved to attend GHS and drove to GHS everyday would that mean are Geographic area served reaches all the way to Hamilton Co. ?

Troll how I look at is if Hamilton County school pairs school together like SM and Howard because of NCLB then SM territory is now SM and Howard school zones as long as the bus the kids form Howard up the Mountain. If Brainard and Ooltewah are paired together then the same applies for those schools. If a school is not paired with another school then the territory is the zone for whatver bus routes are ran the the high school. ex. If your address is zoned for Brainard you can either go to Brainard or OOltewah (NCLB), but not any other school in Hamilton County since they are not paird to any other school and Buses don't go from ever other high school to Ooltewah

See there are two different boards of education in Greeneville. There is the City Board and the County Board. The "geographic area" served by GHS is the City of Greeneville and that is all bus routes in the city limits. The County Board and City Board have nothing to do with each other (Different Budgets).

Its not a hardship thing. Its a way for students to get a better education if they so choose. Many Out of Zones kids don't even play sports but come to Greeneville for Band, AP classes, Tech courses. It also cost money to go to Out of zone schools and you have to provide your own transpertation. (Greene Co. i the 2nd largest county land wise in TN so they could mean driving 45 min just to attend Greeneville or any other County school.

Greeneville has the same open enrollment as PurpleGrad's school does smeagle1. If you transfer schools in either school system (Greeneville or PurpleGrads School) and have no varsity athletic record at your prior school you are eligible to play immediately. If you have participated in a varsity sports you have to sit out a full 365 days from the last time you participated to fulfill the TSSAA rules, unless you move into a house that is in the School zone that you are zoned for. I was one of those Out of zone schools but paid tuition since I was 6 to attend Greeneville because of more resources and a better education
