At this point, what coach would want it??? All of the guys who interviewed know by this point that they would be our 3rd or 4th choice, if you buy into the rumor that Adams was our 2nd choice. You are fixing to go into a dead period where you can't have any contact with the team. No staff. Terrible compensation and an even worse administration. Sad thing is, I'm not surprised by any of this. I never had any confidence in the search committee they assembled making the right choice to begin with.

You need to take that up with the asst. Principal. Last I heard he is the one who is supposed to make sure all the athletic fields are up to par. Maybe he can get the same people who take care of the area around the baseball field to do it. I know the last baseball coach had to do it all himself but things change with new coaches. Maybe this new coach will be afforded the same luxury.

So let me see if I got this right. Horton was a good coach because he made his players clean the bathrooms. Fitz is lazy because there are weeds around a monument. Cook shouldn't be considered because he was a part of the "lazy staff". And Bimbo is qualified to evaluate coaches because he has pride in the community. So we need an outsider with a masters in landscaping who can handle janitor duties. Personally I would suffer through the smell of foul urine if I could watch us hang 30 points a night on an opponent. I would like to see a coach who lives and breathes football. Who knows the right moves at the right time. A guy who is dedicated to making this program one that people don't want to schedule cause they know we are gonna lay the wood to em. I would also like to see the school board and administration get the heck out of their way and let a coach do exactly what he was hired to do. I mean we aren't out looking for a Rhodes scholar here. who gives a tinkers darn how good of a teacher he is or how many health and wellness classes he teaches during the day. I mean we are talking about grass and toilets here. There are literally 100's of people in this community who would mow the field, spray a little roundup and hose down a bathroom for a couple of season tickets and a parking pass.

You are talking about the same people that fired Moo. They have absolutly no consideration for loyalty unless it is to them. This is what happens when you have 3 people (DOS, Principal and Asst. Principal) doing a job that is atleast one step ahead of the job they are qualified for.

Chicken #### administration. Don't let them get you down buddy.

As it was explained to me, school board members have absolutly NO power when it comes to the hiring or firing of teachers/coaches. Those decisions are left up to the principal and director of schools. So if that be the case why in the heck do we have the owner of the local greasy spoon interviewing coaches? I mean if this is how we are going to do things why not have the interview process right there in the gym. The bag boy from Bi-Lo and the greeter at Wal-Mart may want to ask a few questions as well. Levingood and Messimer are cowards. Levingood is playing scared because he knows how close he was to not getting the job in the first place. Now the people who swung the vote in his favor have full on power to do what they wish at this county's expense. Messimer is content to just ride this thing out and not rock the boat. He knows that NO other DOS in their right mind would appoint him principal of the high school. It takes more than a Stetson hat and a pair of Wranglers to run a school.

The fact that we have a school board member in on this hiring committee tells me all I need to know. Can they just end the suspense and let Bimbo tell us who he has selected as our new head coach.
