  1. Ok, you can be done talking about it and then I will be done, but first of all I am not a Y'all of MBA. I know some of the boys very well and know how hard they work, as I do of BA. I also think it is unfair to the boys of BA to say it was a disappointing "year". They have a lot to be proud of as you so nicely pointed out above. Yes, it was a disappointing "end" to their season, but I think they deserve more credit than to say they had a disappointing "year" and I think they have a lot to look forward to next year.
  2. Sure, if that makes you feel better.
  3. I never understood why MBA made the change at QB several games ago anyway, however MBA was not the better team Friday night if they were they would have won. I do not think Baylor played to the best of their ability and had MBA had the right players on the field you would have probably seen a different outcome. But on Friday night the better team won, so congratulations to Baylor and good luck on the rest of the season. MBA should be looking forward to a better year next year.
  4. I will have to throw in my comment regarding BA doing better than most against Trinity. On the offensive side of the ball MBA did better than any inside or outside of TN. scoring 21 points. On the defensive side MBA got killed but I will reiterate that there was no mercy rule in KY as in TN.
  5. And MBA scored 3X touchdowns. Oh, and also the mercy rule "did not" kick in at the same time. You need to check your resources. Oh, and also I was not "comparing" to any one particular school. I was simply making a positive statement about MBA.
  6. Nice to Note that MBA's offense put the most points up against Trinity, and yes the Defense gave up a lot but the mercy rule came into play a lot later in KY than in TN. 7. What do you mean by the coaches are playing for next year??
  8. I was watching the same game as you, I agree the MBA talent is there and it has been there all year, but as you so clearly pointed out "MBA mistakes" what is your point? That if we didnt make so many mistakes we would have had a much bigger win, ok. So I will repeat, the talent was there, has always been there on the field all year, but so have the mistakes. I am not taking away the fact that they won, that is awesome, but this is not the only game they have won this year. This game should have been a much bigger win, you take the same team that played last night and put them up against Ensworth or BA and you have the same results that we had when we played them the first time.
  9. I will agree on one of your comments, James Kay played great! Congrats on the win as a win is a win, but MBA had a few very nice breaks from Mcallie. If MBA played absolutely great!!!!!! They should have won much bigger than they did, if it were not for those big mistakes from McCallie, MBA would not have walked away with that win. MBA looked very sloppy the second half. Let's hope JPII is not this close.
  10. I asked this question simply for educational purposes and by no means to stir up trouble. Didnt the young man that is the BA QB play for JPII last year? It seems I remember reading that on one of the post. How did he escape the eligibility rules where he would have to sit out a year? Do these same rules not apply to the private sector? I am sure JPII wished he had not left.
  11. I may have to respectfully disagree with you on the first comment (MBA is doing the same thing) When you have enough boys to field 7th grade team, 8th grade team, 9th grade team, 10th grade team, JV team and Varsity I feel pretty confident saying not a lot of the freshmen boys are playing MBA Varsity.
  12. I'm sure MBA has a great Freshman team, but before you go bragging too much keep in mind most of the schools you are beating have their best Freshman players on the varsity team so you are probably playing 8th graders and sub-par freshman. Just a thought there big guy.
  13. Looking forward to next year, I have a feeling they will have a great one!
  14. It looks like to me Napoleon has gotten exactly what he wanted.
  15. That's part of the problem. Why play if you are not playing to win. I bet if you asked the boys that are passionate about the game and are playing to win, they would disagree with your statement. At MBA there used to be no other option than to win. These boys are not babies and if they expect to be treated like babies they should not be playing this sport. Respect and dignity also comes with winning.
  16. "Wow - 5 games as a varsity QB and you have an offer from a DI college...interesting."-- Shakininthefat Pretty interesting recruiting by Louisville, if they are offering players after 5 games, and having less passing yards than the other QB's in the rest of the League (The Tennesseean). Not saying its impossible, but ive been around highschool football for a long time, and have never heard of that.
  17. Pretty impressive considering you cant be offered a scholarship to "anywhere" until August 1st of your Sr. year.
  18. I hope the young man will be ok. You hate to see any of these boys suffer an injury. On another note, I too attended the game last night and MBA seems very different than I remember. I always thought MBA was known for how big football was at their school. Last night I observed something very different. It seemed to be more of a social hour with very few folks even paying attention to the game or cheering the team on. The people sitting behind me changed about 3 times and I can assure you each conversation I heard had nothing to do with the game. I even noticed the head of the school socializing the entire time on the field. I don't believe I have ever attended a football game that a rock band was playing the entire time the game was not going on, and so loud I might add that you could not even have a conversation. What happen to a good old high school marching band? Perhaps that is why everyone was having their perspective conversations during the game. In a nutshell it felt very much like I was at a social event with karaoke and a game happen to be going on in the background. That is really too bad for the boys on the field playing their heart out and the coaches that work so hard. I wonder if the new coach is scratching his head in amazement. What happened to the football tradition at this school? Perhaps they should move the band indoors along with the folks that dont want to watch the game to socialize and let the people that actually care about the game enjoy it in the way that it should be enjoyed. I just think the team and the coaches deserve more respect than that and it starts at the top down. This is however just my personal opionion and an observation, perhaps it is not like that every game. I'm curious and a bit shocked.
  19. That's very funny, and makes no sense.
