Let’s get back on the topic of this thread and recognize how fine of a season Loretto has had thus far. Did any of you Loretto fans see this season being of such historical proportion? I must admit, for one, I am glad to see this. I hope it’s sustainable and the program continues to rise. I know how special it is as our program, so far, has contained that success!

You can BPM but, I’m sure you want to know what’s being said so that you will understand what it was that made people realize Milan jumps from classification to classification in-order-to run from competition.

using the block feature on a message board is soft as Charmin. @BIGPURPLEMACHINE is better than that

Yes no plans for the home side.  I believe the visitor side will have a wrap around it and there are plans for an elevated stair step feature like what they have at Liberty Creek but not sure where that will go.  There has been off and on talk about turf but finding corporate sponsors is the issue.  Watson wanted turf but I believe he relented since the stadium is not on campus.  I have not heard what Stroup would like to do in the long term. I would think he would like the turf seeing how USJ had it.   But you are right, over 100 years of history on that field and it had been neglected for a long time.  Hopefully things will continue to get improvements.  I know there was also talk about a Titan-Tron at one time too.  Getting the corporate sponsors is the key.  They are working on getting some.  Gallatin is definitely moving forward!!  It is an exciting time.  Things are changing with Michael Stroup and the administration’s way of doing things.  You know it is a good sign when other coaching staffs are not happy about the Stroup hire!

About time you admitted the place is a dump

Damien Clayton- Has head coaching experience and has also been successful at many different stops as a coordinator.

    Ronnie Yeiser- LC Qb Coach

    Andrew Lawson- Accountant at Saturn.

    Nick Patterson- Richland HC

Ricky Giles Rice- State Champion at Nearby Wayne County and currently in limbo at Summertown High.

Wesley Duncan- Columbia Central long time assistant, considered one of the best players to come through Lewis County

Matt McConnell- long shot but would make a lot of difference with the QB and WR they have coming back

Steven Britton, South Pittsburgh currently has him as the Defensive Coordinator.

We could play the game KFM all day with this group, but any of them would make a great hire.

Hitting a homerun two at bats in a row is unheard of, taking athletics during school away hurts..... a lot.

    1. "HEAD COACHING EXPERIENCE" LOL

    2. LOL

    3. SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE CHOICE LAST TIME BUT YOU PEOPLE RAN HIM OFF

    4. RICHLAND IS A BETTER JOB

    5. KEEP DREAMING

    6. NAH

    7. LONG SHOT IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT

    8. STAY AWAY STEVE!

ONE THING IS TRUE...TAKING AWAY ATHLETICS WAS A BIG MISTAKE. DECENT SPORTS SUCCESS WAS THE ONLY THING LC HAD GOING FOR IT AND NOW THATS IN SERIOUS TROUBLE.

in my day, we didn't have no "cleats" or "pads" and our helmets were leather!  and we didn't have no forward pass!!  we just got the pigskin (it was literally made from a pig right before the game) and ran over everyone else!!  oh, man those were the days.  you knew you really played a game if you got a compound fracture!!  and we didn't whine or complain.  we just popped the bone back in and went back on the field!

    just messin.  : )

I bet you still love the WingT too don't you?

So the 6a state championship was between Oakland and Summit. BOTH RUN THE WING T. Oakland uses multiple formations, but when you cut them open they are still Wing T base. Summit changed to the Shotgun Wing T which is almost exactly the same just from wing twins and other Gun T formations. So there's the answer to your question. Summit won the 5a state championship a year ago runnning it.

They also have better players than everyone else.

Rice makes a difference in just about any small school program immediately. First place he recruits players will be the hallways, and baseball and basketball teams. By summer, some kids will have to decide whether to go to Summertown to play or not...that's how it begins, and if he is the coach there in 5 or 6 years they'll (in my opinion) be established as one of the programs to beat. Coaching ability helps, but cred with the kids will add talent in a hurry.

"First place he recruits will be the hallways".....excellent analysis right there. Thought he may go to the local Kroger first.
