Sorry guys, I aint buying into it. Shouldnt have lost with a 28 point lead, shouldnt have lost with a 24 point lead, shouldnt have lost to a team that was horrible and we couldnt score more than 13 . Cry me a river , I could care less about who didnt block, execute move sit blah blah blah. When you BLOW a lead like that its adjustments made or not made. GC can stay , I think hes a good coach. We need someone calling plays, and we need to learn how to defend the pass,bottom line. Im not sucking up to nobody, and not making apoligies to nobody. We might have the best all around team we've seen at DB in a long time next year, and Im going on record saying it happens all over again, then I hope all you deballed fans will finally see the light, and see who's at fault.

What kind of grand offensive skeem did we use against WM Blont to get us in that position to lose, against a 5-5 team? Oh yeah you are right about the dvds on the other games, I watched the one against Mcminn Co, and a player did miss a block somewhere in the 3rd qtr, and that stupid call at the end of the game, brilliant there was a missed tackle on that play as well. Other than that,coaching was as bad as it was last Fr. Said it before, players change every year but the coaching dont.

Switching gears just a little, same subject, different sport.Coach Morrison was in a complete class of his own. We all talk of a feeder system like GQ has at Maryville in football, well we had the same here in basketball. When his players got to DB they were already schooled and all Buck had to do was help them mature and guide them to the state yr after yr. The 2 were a great combination we will never see again. The whole system is busted now, almost beyond repair. No longer do we have any state bound teams from DB in basketball, but we have had coaches at both middle schools run their programs almost in the ground from sucky coaching. Besides the hiring of an inferior person to run the show, he ruined it, then we made him the AD, !lol go figure.Like I said, busted. When Buck passed ,the job should have gone to Coach Morrison instead of what we gave the reins to . WeLl I dont have to tell you, all Shipley had to do was stand and watch the players that Morrision coached, and let em play. But we all know what happened in both states dont we? Im not even opening that box. Sorry you're still not helping Coach, wish we had done things different.

I played 2 yrs, my son 2 yrs, Being from Highland I didnt have the easiest road getting on the team because I didnt have a Marquee name, and worked after practice, but I did and played. My son also played. I coached Boys Club, worked 1 yr concessions, made countless trips to wherever the Indians were going on Friday night and have had the same tickets for over 20 yrs. I was never in the click,and Im not now. Sorry to disapoint you , but winning 10 games a year, (with at least 4 of those the team could coach theirself and win)is not acceptable when the crap that happened this past game gets repeated yr after yr after yr after yr after yr, get it? is that 5-6 in a row WITH THE SAME ENDING? Sorry its time for a change, before the great talent we have coming back and up from Middle school decides to go elsewhere.

Well if everyone is going to let it all hang out, so am I. 1st of all I like GC, i like him as a coach, a parent and roll model. I played there, and so did my son. This game has gotten way too fast, way to complicated and way outta hand though. I mean in Maryville, GQ has a say so who coaches his future players in the peewee league for petes sake.Theres at least 5 coaches on this team that if truth be told, are there because of who they are or who their dad is, or was. I mean we've put guys on the sidelines that dont even have ANY coaching ability nor did they go to school to be a teacher or coach. Money and who you ''shoot pool '' with has always came into play there as far back as Walton's days. We had a coach on the team for yrs. that was there because his brother was a QB in the 80s he had no purpose there except to be seen. This buddy system has always played a part in who actually coached our kids,and played, and this yr is no exception. I would retain Clark as an AD, but get rid of 90% of the rest. Our AD is a crum, and coaching system a shame. Sorry to step on all my friends toes about some of their buddies, and I know whats coming,but its time for a change, not only AD, but coaching as well. Either change while the wheels are falling off(last 5 yrs) or lets quit this babble and be content handing everyone in the area their rearend all year, then getting embarassed in the playoffs from here on out. Im sick of it

Having 4 unanswered touchdowns in 1 qtr is unacceptable. These kids dont need to work any harder, work harder on what? not getting to touch the ball, or having someone calling the plays that's totally lost when the game is on the line. South will bring everything they have next Friday. D-B has a ton of weapons that they havent even tapped into yet. Look for a wildcat/option to be inserted with Foreman getting into the mix. D-B- dont take South light.

I waited until all the critics had their say, and I'm putting in my 2 cents worth. First of all, if you didnt go to the game, don't criticize. How do you know what they need to improve on? the announcers word? 2nd yes the whole team could use some improvement, but IT WAS THE 1ST GAME, GET OFF THEIR BACKS. We didnt open up with someone we could beat 52-0, we opened with Knox Farragut, a good 6A team. That includes play calling as well, yes it could use improvement also. With that said, everyone looks like they escaped any serious injury, and we won the game. Lets move on to Clinton. Roll Tribe

I agree, this yrs team could surprise a lot of people.Justin ad Will are both headhunters that really like to hit, and the d-backfield is loaded with speed. I dont think we are anywhere in a certain Blount Co. teams league right now, but this might be a team that gets better each game. Hope we get some guys in the right positions as fas as kickoffs, punts etc.

good post. Greeneville had a great team last yr and so did DB. Who knows when two teams line up. But you're wrong about the DB Maryville a couple of yrs ago. Yous cant just take a 5-5 team into Rebel territory(Maryville that is) and expect to compete. I would love to see some DB/Maryville games, and regardless what some idiots say, we have the most respect for your program, we aint scared, but we do have respect.
