Why is it that you Alcoa fans try to make fun of people when they don't have the same opinion as you???? That's what coacht is for is to express your opinions! Just because you guys have one of the best football programs in the state doesn't mean that y'all are the only people with knowledge and opinions of the game of football

This isn't all about football my friend its all sports and yes Giles does support the split, look what district CPA plays in.The fact is privates like CPA have a lot advantages over public schools and you know it and they know it too.

I couldn't agree more my friend but some people on this board seem to think that it's a level playing field!

Do you realize that was the first game CPA has lost to a team from Tennessee in over 90+ games and it took a last second shot for that to happen so I wouldn't toot my horn to loud my friend! CPA is still by far the best basketball program in the state and it's not even close.

I think I know enough about sports to know that records don't matter if you don't win the championship but the fact is CPA boys and girls have more championships than anybody the last 3 yrs but that's not what this thread is about and I'm done talking on this thread it's a waste of time

The best team or program doesn't always win the champioship especially in basketball my friend, untill this yr CPA girls had won 3 in a row and the boys won the last 2 but they both lost this yr and I couldn't be more happier but it don't change the facts of privates having advantages over public!( You guys need to google Carlton Flatt, ex Brentwood Acdamey Legend, in many interviews he admits that privates have many advantages over public schools) even though CPA lost they are still the best boys basketball program in the state the last 3 yrs, win loss record and 2 state championships don't lie

NO!! Privates have advantages 365 days a year over publics in all sports!,

I hate to say it but I doubt anybody gets within 20 points of CPA, beating people all year by 30 and 40 points

The CPA girls won state 2011,2012, and 2013 and the CPA boys won state 2012, 2013 and in a few days 2014

My friend you need to do some reading on CPA's basketball. The coach is one of the best recruiters in the south!

You didn't answer my question! I know it takes more than just good players but this thread isn't about what make a great high school program like Alcoa , its about public, private split and a level playing field so please answer my question. I know playing private doesn't mean a thing to you guy's at Alcoa but for us small town schools, we just can't compete in all sports against teams who recruit year in year out! By the way I've had fun talking back and fourth tonight, it's already been a long off season!!!

Like i said before its not all about football, its all sports!!!

If you would have been at the game you would have noticed that our boys played there hearts out and played the best game of the year but CPA just had more horses!

It would make feel better if Privates played Privates come playoff time my friend! Competition is great but these kids in high school should be able to play and compete on a level playing field. Tell me this, do you think it would be a level playing field if U of Kentucky could only recruit players from Kentucky and all the rest of college football could recruit any state they wanted?That would be fair right!!

Who said CPA was great or in anybody's top 20? Teams like your Alcoa has no problem competing against privates year in year out but small towns like mine can't compete year in year out, like i said before high schools like mine are closed zone so we have to play the cards that are dealt to us, if we could go to other towns and get the best players around then would could compete year in year out but we can't and you can say what you want but i do know that most of the time in high school football its about the Jimmy's and Joe's and not because we didn't play a hard enough schedule in the regular season and especially not because of our coaching.

It would have felt great but the point is the TSSAA was created to keep a (LEVEL) playing field in Tennessee high school sports, not just football either my friend. Just take a look at CPA's basketball team and you tell me that CPA don't recruit.

LOL LOL That's the funniest thing i've read on coacht in long time my friend! Feel free to ask any poster on here if CPA had better players than Lewis CO. CPA had a couple of SEC players and Lewis Co didn't even get( ANY) of its players on the ALL-STATE teams. Coaching is one of the biggest reasons why we almost beat CPA, coach Bobby Sharp has over 220 wins in his carer,all of them at Lewis Co. We have a good football team here at Lewis Co because of him and we have hard working country boys. (COACHING WASN'T THE REASON WE LOST)

It's easy to just say play the game when your from Alcoa or have a son that plays for Alcoa but when your from a small county like me(LEWIS CO.) it's a lot different my friend. Lewis Co only get players from Hohenwald,TN. we don't get to go to surrounding counties and get the best of the best so thats where the privates have a very large advantage on small towns like mine.(I'M NOT CRYING ABOUT IT OR WHATEVER ANYBODY WANTS TO SAY, I'M JUST STATING FACTS)

3 or 7 doesn't really matter my friend, either way it's not a level playing field when privates can go to any county and get players and when public has to play with who lives in there own county!

I didn't say Giles was good because they are an open zone school! I know the Superintendent, he is from Lewis Co and was my middle school football coach, great guy but anyway I was just saying Giles is an open zone school that's all. Giles has had a good run here lately and I know its not because your an open zone school. You guys have a very good football program my friend and I love your stadium.
