ysoangry,you are sooooooo right! If they don't do whatever it takes to keep both Hodges and Gomes we will take so many steps back we might have another couple of years where we will be 1-19. I played football for 4 years at Dresden and have supported it for the last 25 years and I can promise you we have never had any coaching staff as good as we do now.I have seen several teams in the past with more talent but none with the Heart and dedication these boys have shown this year.It comes from buying in to the programs these coaches have brought to our football program.The kids play hard because they know the coaches are dedicated to this program just as much as the players are.To whom it may concern don't set our program back 10 years by letting these coaches slip away!!Go Lions!!

Your right ysoangry,I have watched them on film and they look really good.I think going to all of our games this year and watching the boys play,I haven't realized how much better they have gotten.Its like my youngest son,when people that haven't seen him in awhile say how much he has grown and I don't realize it as much because I am around him all the time.But watching some of our earlier games compared to the last few weeks is unbelievable.Parents of players you should also be commended for all the sacrifices you have made to get the boys to practices and all the activities you have missed or postponed to make sure the kids were on time and at practice to be able to be in the position we are in.All I do is go to games and enjoy the benefits of all the hard work the players,coaches, and parents have put in to allow me to be on this site in week 15 still bragging on my alma mater.Thanks to all the ones that have made this dream season possible.Go Lions!!

Neither program has anything to be ashamed about making this championship game. Regardless what happened in the BB game,FCS is our next opponent.Dresden had a tough schedule to make it to the final game as well as FCS.Dresden had to beat 2 number one seeds and a second seed just to get here.I have total faith in players and coaching staff to be prepared for Saturday's game.We faithful supporters need to be ready for the game of our lives and give these boys the support they deserve and need for this game.We don't want to turn this historic event into a trash talking party and ruin the preparation time for this game by getting into a war of words with people whose teams have been put out of playoffs and are just jealous that we here at this little school in weakley co. have done something they only wish they could.I hope this is an injury free game for both teams and win or lose for both sides lets be respectful to these boys that have represented thier schools with sweat,blood and tears.I am proud of you Lions for giving me a chance to go to a championship ballgame to watch my alma mater have a chance to bring home a gold ball. I'm not saying all of our local countians are rooting against us but it is pretty sad when a westview person travels that far to root against us. 8 hours away from kickoff and I can't wait. My 12 year old killed his first deer this morning(7pt) and is very excited. I asked him how he hit it beings that he has never shot his Uncle's 30/30 before. He said it was easy....he just aimed at the cardinal on his back. Ha Ha. Go Lions!!

Dresden posse better get ready for a crowd challenge Friday night. I imagine there will be a few more people at A'ville this Friday than Westwood had last Friday. So polish your bells and take a breathing treatment to clear out those lungs so you can blow them horns and lets get ready to support those Lions. Boys go give 'em your best and make us proud. Lions if you are reading any of these posts just ignore it. All year long we have heard how we won't beat someone because of speed or size. I haven't seen A'ville but I bet they aren't as fast as Humboldt and probaby not as physical as Westwood. I do believe they will be one of the best fundamental teams we will face and that is the only kind of team we haven't got to play yet. I always worry come game time about how we will handle a team, but you haven't let me down thus far and I don't believe you will come Friday. As a former graduate of Dresden who graduated in 1986 I personally would like to tell you how proud of you I am. I wish you all the best come Friday night.Take care of business and make us proud. Hey Dresden how does it feel to be lowest seed left in playoffs? I hope it shows what a joke this seeding is,I do believe Adamsville is the only 1 seed left.Anyway, I would like to invite 13A to come to Adamsville and support the Lions in playoffs like 15A will do for thier district. Whether you like us or not we are making our district look good still being in playoffs this far and finishing 3rd in our district. Thanks to all the thoughts and prayers from everyone. We are on here alot and talking to each other it seems like we have known each other for a long time. We have had some rough times here this year with all the accidents that has hit us. It kinda puts everything on hold when tragedy hits but we have to move on. I agree ysoangry,I also seen them in 7 on 7 this year and I believe they have a huge qb and pretty quick receivers. I hope #86 is alright he did take a shot to the knee and stayed down a little while. I talked to him after game and he was ok but I don't know how he is this morning. Also to #14 I would like to tell him that he did a great job last night. People don't know this but he has been feeling bad since Monday. But he sucked it up and played a great game. I want everyone on the team that I am proud of you all. Go Lions!

Looks like we will be going to Memphis next week. I thought they were going to move game here but looks like they aren't. I hope all the Dresden posse will make the trip to Memphis so we can continue to support these boys. Very good sportsmanship for both teams tonight. I saw alot of players helping each other up after plays and that was great! Very proud of the Dresden Posse tonight,we made alot of noise and fired our kids up for the game.Humboldt, you showed alot of class tonight and we thank you for it.Good luck to the Lions next week against Westwood. I heard they might come to our place to play because they don't have a field and they don't have big crowds and can get a larger gate collection by moving it to Dresden.
