  1. What's up with Cleveland's coach calling a SD player names during the game? And not real flattering names at that.
  2. This horse has been beaten to death so I might as well throw a punch too. The problem that I have with a few of you SM people on here (not SM as a whole) is every time something comes up (fight with SD and this topic to name 2), you always claim the haters are trying to bring you down. Never will own up to anything. If I remember correctly, some SM people were even on here blaming the TFP reporter after the fight. Everybody knows what the deal is and you do too. It’s the attitude of a few of you SM people on here that are building your “hater†following. Quit making excuses and blaming everyone else. You got caught, own up and move on or to coin an old phrase “just drop back and puntâ€. Oh wait, you can’t punt because you always go for it.
  3. Just read an article where a guy in England hitched a ride on a bus to finish 3rd in a marathon. He was eventually found out and disqualified. But what’s funny is what Steve Cram (the event director) had to say. “Mr. Sloan made a mistake and has apologized to us for the confusion it has caused.†I like the “made a mistake†part, sounds familiar doesn’t it?
  4. Don't worry, it'll all work out. Price will tell the T$$AA what to do just as he told McCullough what to do after the pre-season "scuffle" on the hill.
  5. To say the only player to show any “fire†on defense is 52 is ridiculous. What games have you been watching. The score was 42-14, take away the 2 pick sixes you’ve got 28-14. We had the ball at least 4 times in the red zone with no points. You do the math. And to say there have been no big plays on defense is another idiotic statement.
  6. I have to agree a little on the oficials. However the touchdown you referred to probably wouldn't have happened without the hold. I believe the second delay of game was questionable. I didnt't time it myself but it seemed real quick. The refs did short rc at least 1 play at halftime. The ball was fair caught and 2-3 seconds just ran off. SD had a helmet to helmet call on the sd side which was iffy. It looked to me that the rc carrier lowered his head right before the tackle and caused the helmet to helmet. It was still a pretty good game. SD still wins even if it was penalty free.
  7. I really don’t think the TSSAA is out to get SM. Maybe the reason the TSSAA got involved was other circumstances. 1. Fan/Parent involvement (the paper reported several fans were throwing punches, the SM principal said two fans were involved, and now it’s down to one??) 2. The SM coach was quoted as saying “it was just a good scuffleâ€. I believe the fan involvement circumstance alone will get the TSSAA attention every time. I agree that the SD coach shouldn’t be suspended for a game.
  8. I opened an account just so I could give my opinion on this. I was under the impression that 7 on 7’s were for practice, to give the qb some reps, practice routes and coverage, and so on. The 7 on 7’s at Signal Mountain are different than any others I’ve attended over several years. They are designed as a competition with an elimination round then a champion is declared after the finals. When you put football players, that are coached to play FOOTBALL not 7 on 7), on a field in a competitive environment tempers and testosterone appear. As I said, the other ones I attended were more practice related. Everyone played everyone then went to the house. Simply my opinion and we all know what those are like.
