Ha, ha. That's funny! NW JV doesn't have anything ... I believe they lost to Kenwood and Clarksville - I don't know if they have beaten anybody. If you think NW is bad this year ... wait until next year when they lose Chauncey and Dante'.

Sounds good to me. It is hard to go against Kevin Tuck when his team is undefeated. I just hope someone in this district can win in the regional tournament. Northeast is also a disappointment so far ... Two D-1 signees without any help from their teammates. They were supposed to battle with Dickson for the crown. Tonight's games ... Henry Co. @ Northwest Dickson Co. @ Kenwood Clarksville @ Rossview Could be some upsets tonight ... all the underdogs are playing at home.

I wouldn't believe it until I saw it with my own eyes ... Northeast's guards are terrible. Now I see why Kenwood beat Northeast! Clarksville beat Clarksville-Northeast tonight and Northeast had a huge amount of turnovers. Drake Reed had 20 and Thomas Pfaff had 18 but they had no help at all. Freshman Tyrone Caldwell had 18 to lead the Wildcats to a 62-54 win. The loss puts Northeast in 4th place at 3-3 at the halfway point. Clarksville is in 2nd place at 5-1. Anyone know who won Dickson Co. - Rossview or Henry Co. - Kenwood tonight?

Big game Tuesday night with Clarksville-Northeast visiting Clarksville High. Both teams beat Northwest by 50 points last week. Drake Reed and Tyrone Caldwell should put on a good show. Clarksville needs the win to stay in the district title hunt while Northeast is trying to avoid falling into 4th place. A win by Northeast would put Clarksville, Northeast, and Kenwood in a tie for 2nd. The Clarksville teams need Rossview to step up and beat Dickson Co. on Tuesday. District 10-AAA Standings : 1. Tyrone Caldwell has to be the best Freshman in the state. He is averaging 17 points per game for Clarksville High ... a school that produced Shawn Marion (Phoenix Suns) and Trenton Hassell (Minnesota Timberwolves) several years ago. Tyrone has carried Clarksville to a 11-7 record and a 2nd place standing (4-1) in district 10-AAA. Clarksville lost almost every player from last years district championship team, but Tyrone has kept Clarksville near the top. He also averaged 22 points per game in leading Clarksville to the title of Cookeville's Mid-South Classic over Christmas break. The tourny consisted of 16 teams (including Cookeville - who Clarksville beat with Tyrone's 26 points) and Tyrone was named tournament MVP. He will be the next big time player from Middle Tennessee!

Dickson Co. wins tonight 72-54 over Clarksville. Pflieger scores 19 and Primm adds 15 to lead Dickson ... who led the entire game. Shawn Dowlen scored 13 and Tyrone Caldwell 11 for Clarksville. Dickson Co. proved they are the best in the district at this point. They played solid defense and made big shots all night.

Tyrone Caldwell is just not one of those players who is going to put up big numbers every night ... he only had 12 points their last game. If the defense focuses on him, he will not force a lot of bad shots. I am sure that Dickson Co. will focus on his penetration (taking charges, etc.) and he would rather dish it off to an open man than to force anything. That's the reason that he may not put up big numbers tonight or any other night. On the other hand, if Dickson Co. turns the ball over a lot or plays an up tempo game ... he could easily drop 30 on them. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I look for Dickson Co. to win this showdown. Clarksville has not played a district game on the road and haven't played the top 2 teams yet ... Dickson Co. and Clarksville-Northeast. With the big crowd ... I expect the young Wildcats to lose their 1st game in the district. Dickson Co. is in the drivers seat to win the district after winning at Clarksvile-Northeast on Tuesday. I think you will be impressed with Tyrone Caldwell ... he definately doesn't play like a Freshman. He is very good in transition and is a complete player. He may not score a lot ... he really passes too much at times when he penetrates. He could score 10 or he can go for 30 - you never know. Hopefully this one will be a fun one to watch ... I just hope the wildcats make it a good game and don't get blown out in their 1st big game on the road!

Those scores set up a battle in Dickson Friday night for 1st place in District 10-AAA. Clarksville (4-0) @ Dickson Co. (4-0) ... should be a great game! What happened to Northwest tonight ... lost by 49 points? I heard that the starters got benched going into the 4th quarter because they were down by 28. Then Chauncey Dickerson tried to quit or something and then wouldn't shake hands after the game ... what a punk! What's up with that NWBalla?

Big game tonight with Dickson Co. (3-0) making the trip to Clarksville-Northeast (2-1). The Eagles need a win badly after being upset by Kenwood last week at home. 3 D-1 signess (Drake Reed - Austin Peay, Thomas Pfaff - Lipscomb, Corey Pflieger - Rice) should make this one fun to watch. I expect Reed to power his team to victory. Also tonight ... Northwest (1-3) @ Clarksville (3-0) Rossview (0-3) @ Henry Co. (1-3).

Good rankings Crossup. The top 4 are an easy pick because they are all D-1 players. Pickney earned his selection with the big upset at NE. How can they say Bolden deserves 1st Team, when his team is in last place and have not won a game in the district. Bolden has not show ANY wing skills against defensive pressure. Dickerson at least puts up big numbers every night for NW even though his team hasn't been very good. I would think that going JUCO would be better than going D-II or D-III ... because you have a chance to go d-I after 2 years.

Good win. You were right - you are not in last place ... for now. I hope you guys win some games ... just don't get on here and brag too much about it. Clarksville drilled Henry Co. tonight and are awaiting a visit from NW on Tuesday. Who won tonight between NE-Kenwood?

Predictions ... Clarksville over Henry Co. (Wildcats taking advantage of early home court advantage) Northeast over Kenwood (NE just has to handle the Kenwood pressure defense) Rossview over Northwest (Rossview has 10 wins, Northwest has 2 = easy choice) Dickson Co. has 2 big home games next week - Tues vs. NE, Fri vs. Clarksville. They have to win at home if they want to win the district & they should be the favorites at home next week. Then the big game on Tuesday 1/25 when Northeast goes to Clarksville High.

My predictions for tonight ... NE over Henry County (But this is always a scary game for Clarksville teams when they have to travel to Paris) Dickson over NW (Probably the District's best vs. worst) Clarksville over Kenwood (Only because of home court advantage - this could be a good game)

Reed, Pfaff, Pfieger, & Caldwell are a cut above the rest. Bolden is overated! 9 points against CHS & Montgomery Central ... trying to play on the wing with no jumper!

Seems like a good coach - gets a lot of effort out of his guys. They are not very talented but have played well so far. They have one tall post and some guards who can shoot the 3.

I haven't seen NW play this year, but their schedule/results speak for themselves. They have won two games - Glencliff (who hasn't won a game) and AA Montgomery Central (who have been destroyed by NE and Clarksville). They also lost to AA Cheatham Co. At the Mid-South Classic in Cookeville - they lost all 3 games (including a loss to single A Clarkrange) ... a tournament in which Clarksville won going 4-0. They have lost both district games to Henry County and Kenwood ( 2 teams that are not expected to challenge for the district title) I am sure they have a few athletes (Chauncey Dickerson is a player who can score 20+ points a game) but they just can't seam to put it together. They may win a fews games at home ... maybe against Henry Co., Rossview, etc. but I just don't see that happening right now. The worst thing is that a few of their players get on hear and say they are going to win all the time.

NW - you need to stop making predictions - your predictions don't seem to be very accurate. I do think that Clarksville has a chance to contend for the district title. They could be a very dangerous team - they are very quick, play hard, and have Tyrone Caldwell ... who has the most talent in the district. He could become the next great Clarksville product ...Marion, Hassell, Maybin, etc. Northeast and Dickson are the favorites ... but I think Clarksville can compete with those teams. Kenwood is a good team and will win some games, Rossview has been disappointing so far, Henry County will be tough at home, and Northwest will struggle to win any games. Just my opinion.
