  1. Use the charge circle under the basket like college and pros
  2. Why did they fire their coach in the middle of the season?
  3. 9AAA may get the sweep. Clarksville teams haven't played in 10 days and didn't finish their tournament.
  4. Remaining 10-AAA tournament has been canceled. Tuesday Region schedule: #4 NE @ #1 Station Camp #4 Mt. Juliet @ #1 Kenwood #3 Gallatin @ Clarksville #3 NW @ #2 Lebanon
  5. At a rules meeting, the refs have told us that if there were 10 block/charge situations and their refs called 10 charges, "they would only miss one call." It is terrible, some refs only call charges every time. Players flop and they get the call, we at least need the circle under the basket like college/pro.
  6. Caleb Brown played at Raleigh-Egypt.

  8. If the bracket would have been set last like last year's state tournament, these would have been the match-ups ... White Station vs Clarksville siegel vs. Oak Ridge Red Bank vs. Dobyns Bennett Ridgeway vs. Antioch
  9. Should be a good match-up, these are the only two teams that made it to the state tournament last year in Class AAA. Clarksville put Ridgeway out last year in the 1st round, so the Roadrunners will be out for revenge. Ridgeway is one of the favorites to win it all, but Clarksville should be able to compete. Clarksville beat Memphis Central this year.
  10. From the The Commercial Appeal ... Note to the seven other Tennessee high-school boys basketball teams that qualified Monday for next week's Class AAA state tournament in Murfreesboro: White Station has a talented new addition, and the Spartans plan to unleash their 6-foot-8 newcomer on the rest of the state next week following their 71-66 Class AAA sectional victory over host Raleigh-Egypt on Monday. "We're going to win state. Put that in there," said White Station junior forward Ferrakohn Hall, a four-star transfer from Memphis University School who became eligible when the Spartans (23-12) advanced to last week's Region 8-AAA title game.
  11. 1 Ridgeway 2 White Station 3 Antioch 4 Clarksville 5 Oak Ridge 6 Dobyns-Bennett 7 Siegel 8 Red Bank Red Bank, Oak Ridge, and Clarksville all played in a Christmas Tournament this year at Riverdale. Clarksville beat Memphis Central in the finals, and Oak Ridge beat Red Bank in the consolation. White Station and Ridgeway will be in opposite brackets because they are from the same region. 2 Mr. Basketball finalists will be there - Jason Jones from Ridgeway and Tyrone Caldwell from Clarksville, Terrico WHite from Craigmont was eliminated.

  16. Sain's MTSU basketball career over Freshman Josh Sain has been dismissed from the MTSU basketball team. Sain, the 2007 Class AA state tournament MVP from Jackson Liberty Tech, did not suit up for MTSU??™s regular-season finale Saturday. Sain was suspended three times for five total games this season and had not played in the last nine games. He averaged 6.7 points and 2.5 rebounds in 15 games. ???Josh Sain will no longer participate in any more basketball activities at Middle Tennessee,??? MTSU coach Kermit Davis said. ???We??™re still going to support him fully in all his academics. He can use the academic enhancement center and hopefully Josh can take advantage of that and finish the spring semester out on a positive academic note. ???I can say this: Every coach, every teammate, every athletic support staff member has done everything humanly possible to support Josh to be successful on and off the floor. We wish him the best.??? Adam Spark, DNJ News
  17. Red Bank is small but very athletic. Tim Benford is an Allen Iverson type player, complete with the arm sleeve, that can go off and score 30 with ease. The rest of the team are mostly role players, but all are quick, athletic, and can score. They can get out of control and lose their composure at times, and will talk trash. They are a very dangerous team when things are going their way.
  18. I thought WC was clearly trying to lose the game as well
