Coaches, Hope this email finds everyone catching up on some well deserved rest. With the way the TSSAA schedule falls next wrestling season with the Football State Championship games being on December 5, 6, and 7. We will be having the 23rd Catholic Invitational on December 6 and 7. The tournament is always the weekend of the state football championships. I hope this does not affect your schedule to bad. If you would like to come to the Catholic Invitational this year please respond back as soon as possible. Thanks Justin Anderson 2019 Knoxville Catholic Invitational Information December 6, and December 7 2019 This year’s entry fee will be $200.00 The Seed meeting for this year’s Catholic invitational will be on Wednesday December 4, 2019 at 6:00pm in the library. Please make sure you have everything in track wrestling by 12:00pm on Wednesday December 4, 2019. Fax#: 865-560-0314. Seeding criteria 1st State champion, 2nd State Placer, 3rd Regional Medalist, 4th Returning Tournament Champion, 5th Returning Tournament medalist, 6th Head to Head, 7th Overall Records, and 8th Vote. Weight-ins will start at 4:00pm on Friday December 6, 2019, with opening ceremonies and wrestling beginning as close to 6:00pm as possible. We will wrestle the first two Championship Rounds round of 32 and round of 16 and the first two Consolation rounds on five mats Friday evening. Weigh-ins for Saturday morning will be 8:00am till 9:00am and wrestling will start at 9:30am with the quarter finals and 3rd round of consolation. As soon as this round finishes we will start semifinals and consolation quarters and consolation semifinals. We will start Championship finals, consolation finals, and award ceremonies as soon as we finish the other rounds. Medals will be given 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th 6th, places. There will be team plagues give out for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place and best wrestler, best match award also. JV wrestlers can wrestle in the tournament they are non-scorers if we have spots. The Tournament will be a true double elimination tournament with each wrestler wrestling a minimum of two matches. King, This is my second year at Catholic and I am going to get it back to what it use to be when I wrestled. A lot of the teams drop because a lot of their wrestlers are still in football. Wait till 2013 list an I promise it will be a lot better.

Coaches and Wrestlers, William Blount High will be hosting a wrestling Clinic on Sunday November 11, 2012 from 1:00pm until 4:00pm. The clinic will be over all of the under hook series. David Levitt the assist coach at Mccallie School will be instructing the clinic. He did his college wrestling at Boise State. This has been an awesome clinic in the past if you are interested the cost for the clinic is $20.00 per kid.
