  1. Does anyone use that chat feature at all? Thanks for your help, texas.
  2. True. I was quite surprised at how inexpensive it is. About money, is it the cost of keeping the forum going or what? There are already benefits to being a + member. So, is it the cost to keep it up throughout the whole year? I know of several forums that don't make people pay. Just wondering. It is a good deal!
  3. I see. It's about the money.

  6. I was just curious as to why this forum gets closed down after the season. It seems that it could still serve a great purpose throughout the year. What better way for hundreds of people to stay connected and pull together to urge changes??
  7. Perhaps instead of starting only two hours earlier on Thursday, wrestling could begin in the morning. This way, Friday wouldn't have to necessarily be longer. Teams could do their travelling on Wednesday night. Although I acknowledge the importance of school, missing another hour or two of class shouldn't be a big problem. Besides, how many wrestlers would be concentrating on school when state is so close? I know it wasn't on my mind that Wednesday afternoon.
  8. Sometimes wrestling a freshmen is the same as wrestling a senior. Look at all of the 4x state champions in any state!! Perhaps these freshmen have been wrestling since they could walk and all year round. What about Cael Sanderson doing it at the collegiate level? Do you think the seniors he beat viewed him as "just a freshmen?" Sometimes there are those exceptional freshmen.
  9. I don't think bringing refs in from out of state is feasible. Are you going to pay for their travel, hotel, etc?? Besides, every state has problems with their refs. There has got to be a better system of making them more accountable.
  10. With double elimination, the amount of time it would take to do all of that wrestling might be tremendous. This may be one of the reasons/excuses. I'm sure it could be worked out though. My question is this: What does it take to get things done? It seems there are a lot of complaints about various things. Who has control? Is there some sort of pressure on the coaches not to change it?
  11. Ouch! That's cold. I guess it's a fitting comeback, or lack thereof, for an army guy. In all seriousness, what did you do in the 101st?
  12. How did my "philisophical reasons" get blown out of the water? Were they tried? If you would read a little more closely you would notice I used the word "could." Further, did I not say that the person to beat Knox would have to make him wrestle their match? By the looks of the scores, it doesn't look like anyone did that.... What was the pounding about?? Also, you have an excellent point in that Knox was a true champion. He dictated his matches. He won all of his convincingly.
  13. rigger, Did you miss the little jab I aimed at you??
