  1. Santa Fe, Richland, and MT. PLEASANT advance to the semi-finals and region. Are there any hopes of upset!?
  2. Cullypride, you amazing Culleoka girls' team is feasting on a down year in the district. Richland has suffered a major loss this year of their only senior. Cornersville does not have the studs they use to and are a young team. Santa Fe is right where they've been but a still down compared to years passed. CA and Mt. Pleasant have had talented teams but nothing great. Hampshire are hardly ever good. Yes Culleoka is more talented this year. However, any of your past coaches could have this success with this team. The younger players care and play hard. Cullywarrior, you sound like an upset parent, player, or relative of the previous. This team is on the rise and it is due to the play of Foster, Scott, and Kolter!!
  3. I couldn't comment on whose heart's in what. However, Miller seemed pretty passionate about what he was doing against Richland and have been told about other games. But as for fight, there isn't much coming from Culleoka. Culleoka hasn't had a good team since the 90's when Harris was on the sideline. If it's because of Miller, then why weren't they good with Muckle, a coach who knew the game. Why weren't they good when they had two 1000 point scorers in the early 2000's. So who is the problem, Miller or the players? I don't doubt that Miller has his fault's. Would we take him back who knows. Neither girls' program seems to be doing too hot!
  4. All this talk of who can beat who between 11A and 12A doesn't matter until late February and March. As for 11A, Richland is doing what it needs winning!! Look back at last season. Culleoka won every game by like 20 points in district then got beat in the Region tournament. I think close games make you a better team rather than blowing teams out!! We've got players who are a little banged up and not quite in playing condition. We will and we will be ready for anybody!! And if not so be it! It's just a game!!
  5. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Everybody was so happy with Coach Miller while he was Slatten's assistant. Now that he is a head coach the table has turned. Too bad ya'll didn't listen cullypride!! *Side note: With a below average Richland team scoring 55 on ya'll, I bet Cornersville could've scored 100 if they had wanted! Coach Landers is a classy guy than that.
  6. We are jsut sitting back and waiting here at Richland. We have a good enough team to do there own talking. Between T. Newton, C. Edwards, T. Coble, C. Coble, H. Patterson, etc., we think we are pretty much the best but we aren't going to say it because someone from Culleoka will get on here and say, "That's what we hear every year, and ya'll still finish middle of the pack." So we will see!!
  7. I agree about the support factor. Most good programs have a loyal following. Richland had that a few year's ago. After Hall left that group dwindled a little. Last season Parker had a tough go of it due to lower support levels. Richland is not a bad team, their support has just dropped. Look for Richland to regain a little and step up their game. Richland has the best combined boys' and girls' programs in the district. Both teams will finish top 3 if not top 2!! This is becasue of support from community, parents, teachers, and students!!
  8. No matter the strength of schedule, I don't think Cornersville or Santa Fe will be able to compete with Richland or CA. These two teams will control the district as Moore Co and Culleoka did two and three years ago. It's Richland, CA and everybody else!!
  9. Ptguard12 as always well stated! I feel Richland could be overlooked. The Lady Raiders did lose a lot in Duke and Reynolds (transferred to MCHS). However they still have the shooters and look for one of the Lovell twins to take over the Glidden roll!! Don't sleep on the Lady Raiders!!
  10. CA could win 10 games if they can beat Clarksville Academy and Davidson Academy. They will beat Mt. Pleasant twice and Hampshire twice. More than likely they will split with Culleoka. They could surpass 10 wins with victories over East Hickman, Fairview, and Santa Fe. It's possible; however, with previous knowledge I don't see it quite yet. One more year of sitting in the bottom half before they rise to the top 4 next season!
  11. But remember, Slatten can't get out there and make a shot or handle the basketball. I have yet to see a ball handler at Culleoka since DeMario Williams. I know they don't have a true point guard. And I don't think their shooters can handle pressure. All these things will show the truth in just under 2 months!!
  12. I agree with you 100%!! Richland has its best chance at a championship this season. This team has the best talent coming back. We'll have to wait and see. I know this thread will start a huge uproar over in Culleoka, but they've had their time! Richland CA Hampshire Cornersville Culleoka Mt. Pleasant Santa Fe
  13. Richland will finish second behind Cornersville; however, don't be surprised if these two teams split! I think these two teams are far and away the cream of the crop. Watch for Richland to make a late push in the tournament.
  14. CullyRep, I don't talk on here because everything I say gets blown out of proportion. Richland has a great opportunity. This is the first championship game for the boys since I was in school. GO RAIDERS!!! GOOD LUCK!!!
  15. Hey Culleokarep!! Look who's in the finals!! Your Warriors and My Raiders!!! I thought you said we weren't good enough to be there!! Culleoka has had our number for the past few years. It's time we change the story. The gym will be loud and rowdy. I see ole Coach "B" is still there. I'm not going to say much. Just go Raiders!! GOOD LUCK!!
  16. Richland defeated Eagleville by a large margin. Blayze Parsons led teh way with 20+ points. Parsons is a welcome addition to a team who underachieved last season. Cornersville won by 10 behind Garrett Stiles' big night. This kid is doing it all. Much improved from last season!!
  17. Richland may not be as talented as they have been in years past, but I think this team plays better as a collective unit. I don't think they have as many internal issues. This team is young and will be good done the stretch. Look for the Lady Raiders to finish close to the top in the region.
  18. Richland beat an undersized Cascade team again. The Raiders are going to surprise some people late in the season. They like the girls, shoot the 3 well. They play energized basketball. We will find out how they rate against the district in about a week or so!!
  19. Don't count Richland out!! They played a close ball game against Eagleville last night. If they had just had a couple of more mintues I think they could have won by 10. They fought from behind all night. They answered runs but made stupid mistakes to keep themselves behind. They shoot the 3 ball extremely well from all positions. Duke is a huge threat inside and out. Look for the Lady Raiders to upset some people!!
  20. Right! And Culleoka's girls are going to finish in the top 4!
  21. On the rise?? So you think Culleoka can jump out of the cellar, after winning only 5 games; however, a team who has finished in the top 4 or 5 can't do well with a lot of talent. You need to get your facts straight!!
  22. What information do you have that no one esle seems to have? Or is it because it is Richland? They return 3 players with significant playing time from last seasons team. They also have a deep bench in Jones, Tinnon, Wallace, and more. Plus I have heard a rumor that they have picked up a kid who didn't play last season that is back for his senior season. Still looking for hard facts but I hope the Blazin' 3 Baller is back!!
  23. Huntland losing Sims could be the biggest loss for any district team. She is definitely the MVP of that team.
  24. I believe that this District is down in comparison to past seasons. However, I think Moore Co. and Cornersville can go further through the tournaments. In years past, District 11A teams have not been able to get to Murfreesboro. I think one of these teams MIGHT be able to get there this year.
  25. Bassham being out takes away the Bulldogs best shooter, best ball handler, and best defending guard. Cornersville will slide down the District list without Bassham.
