If Wayne played Flawless like they did against SP then they could play with anyone in 2A....Not 3A as CAK would throw all over them...Alcoa's defense is too solid for the Veer...Speed is the only thing they lacked this year and it was just young...TC defense would've shut down the veer too...SP's 3-4/3-5 isn't great for a veer or power running offense...Why coaches are too dumb to not have another set is beyond me and any other fan that has watched them play

That was my thinking too. After watching CAK play was very impressed but most of the time 1A will not play with good 3A teams. Dont know much about TC,BB,FCS and others in east,knew yal beat BB but know just because yal beat them and we beat yal doesnt mean we beat them. Appreciate the post, guess I got to much time on my hands now...lol

Just wondering how yal think we would have faired vs Boyd,FCS,TC this year? Not looking for bighead or nothing but someone said earlier they thought 1A could compete in 2A and yal play or know more about the 2a "powers". Again just wondering

I don't disagree with the fact Wayne County is the best 1A team in the state.. Just kind of wondering where Huntingdon stood against South Pitt

We'll never know so all we can do is speculate. I personally would give the edge to SP. If WC hadnt had the ability to pressure the QB SP could have caused chaos in our secondary with their receivers and did to a point anyways. Just dont think Huntingdons secondary would have stopped them. SP definantly had the speed to play with Huntingdon. Again just my opinion no hard feelings

What years did he coach at Moore co and where had he been coaching before coming to Marion?

Well not much has been sayed about WC next year and maybe ritefully so but I'm gonna say we wont be as bad as some may think. Good talent waiting in the wings,hard to get time behind 17 seniors that were good enough to win state, but we could be alrite. Good skill players couple of really good linrman good class coming in GREAT coaching so dont count us out. Now dont get me wrong I'm not garunteeing a trip back to the finals next year but dont think it could be as far away as some might think! GO CATS

Will have to say seen some potential when we played yal week 2 but a lot of inexperience. With a season under your belt will definantly be better as yal got through the season. Biggest ? I would have would be your defense as reading through posts on the T was one of yals concerns also. Watched the film of yal vs WC playoff game and still havnt figured out how yal lost that game but we talking about next year. Dont know what level other teams will be on next year but yal should be in pretty good shape, Best of luck and if dont meet you before then see you week 2 2012

Talked to SP fans yday and by what they said I expect it to be a good game today. Good luck to both teams hope its a good game injury free!

GVille is a great program but they have 6 generations before they can catch SP....We don't win everytime 5 out of 10 but we have been 10 times 69,74,85,86,94,99,07,09,10,11

 

That is pretty special and something even the mighty Trousdale Yellow Jackets can't match

 

PS SP and Gville are alone in the east for the next two years or until a small private explodes on the season...I look forward to playing UC and Wayne again someday

Congraes to those CATS!!!! Said all year they could not would but could do this and they did. Thanks for the ride guys it was a blast! Even though they finished the season with a win its still kind of depressing knowing we will not get to watch them play again but thats beeing selfish on my part. Watching them walk the field "one last time" last night about got me if you know what i mean. Thanks guys and remember you are CHAMPIONS.

A record like Grider has, and it seems some are asking for a coaching change. It doesn't make sense to me.

J agree with you croz to a point seems like its never good enough huh, but will also say that this expectation by fans,coaches and players is part of what makes South Pitt well SOUTH PITT. WC was the better team yesterday but SP had a chance in the 4th to pull it out because nobody on their sideline expected to lose. The mentality that a bunch has has alot to do with the way they play but sometimes you loose to a better team and just have to accept it! Yesterday was one of those days and it wasnt the coaches fault. I take my hat off to SP for what they have accomplished over the years and hope they are proud of it but dont turn on coach that has done so much.

P.S. think there are a couple of programs headed in SP's direction and G'ville one of them

Just wandering if anygody else caught this but I started to make sure i won this as GURU said the predictions had to be in at 3:00 day of game,would had a pretty good prediction at 3:oo yesterday

Man great game by both sides! Wayne co played about to a perrfect game as you could play in 1A football and SP was only a bad snap behind them. Game could have went either way glad Wayne Co came out on top think we played a more complete game. Will not get on here and blast fans for pulling for your team but hope some learned that what has been has nothing to do this year! Great experience and even though mine didnt get to play hope it made him and other younguns hungry to return. Great to meet Piratemike and Piratetom great guys SP ho;d your head up you had a good year, Wayne Co you are the best in 1A this year be proud of that because your fans sure are!

The funny thing is pal I am closer to the program than you are to WC by far. I know what was said. Ive known Coach Rice for about 20 years and I call bull on this one. Coach worries bout every team regardlees of who it is and would not say this. If he tells me I will apologize but will not believe it til then and anyone that knows him would agree!
