MC had 4 goal line stands that yielded 0 points for SC. MC forced a punt at midfield and took over on their own 6 yard line with no timeouts and about 1:50 left on the clock. MC converted a 4th and long early in the drive. QB spiked the ball with a few seconds left. 50 yard FG later, MC fans ripped the goal post down. I know several folks who showed up at 6:30, bought a ticket but could not get close enough to the field to see. Incredible HS atomosphere, best game i've ever seen. The Fulton, Trousdale was very good too.

Jimmy Hull - Celina HS '85 should be mentioned, at least one of the best i played against. Jalen Hurd maybe as good as any HS player i have seen.

It is official. Coach Pemberton turned in his resignation today to the director of schools at about 1:45 P.M. Macon County is in the hunt for a new football coach. I wish Coach Pemberton well at his new job in Brentwood.

This season MC has played in 3 of the best high school football games I've seen in a long time. From a football fan perspective Goodpasture, Sycamore, and DeKalb were fun games to watch and all had exciting finishes. From a Tiger fan perspective we've lost 2 of those 3 and now our backs are against the wall. The Blue Devils are in a similar position which should make for another great football game. Everybody in Lafayette knows far too well what White House brings to the field (Pride, Tradition, Coaching, and Toughness). But the question in my mind is "What is MC gonna bring?" "IF" the Tigers can match WH"s physical efforts we will get the win. "IF" not it will be another typical White House beat-down on MC. Go Tigers!!!

MC has certainly had the tougher schedule. DC opponents' combined record is 15-25. MC opponents' combined record is 26-13. DC's offense is very potent averaging 35 points a game. MC's defense has played 3 good games and 3 bad games. However, bigstick nailed it....DESIRE. Which team shows up? MC is talented enough to win the rest of their games, but if they play with no "DESIRE" they could very well lose out. There will be a full staduim in Lafayette friday night. Alot of story lines to watch for in this one. It should be a fun game.

Page 5 and its only Monday. I expect a great High School football game and atmosphere. Macon wins this one.
