I am a Greeneville fan! I just happen to believe we can handle ourself with class! I'm sorry some of you disagree.

I think it is you that needs to get over yourself and over Boles! Look I'm not here to bash you but when you talk about a 17 year old kid 14 times in an 11 minute video its a little out hand! Let it go!!! From the interview I saw in the paper and the on WJHL he seemed like a great kid whom is very humble! In fact he gave all the credit to his offensive line!!! Its time we stop bashing him just because he didn't chose to go Greeneville! Last time I checked he wasn't the person writng about himself so if you have an issue with how many times his name is in the paper you should contact the Greeneville Sun. I don't remember you complaining about how many times Willie was in the paper.

Wow, its sad that GVDEVIL has so little going on his life that he has to be a BULLY to a 17 year old kid! I'm embarrassed for you GVDEVIL! No wonder the County Schools hate us. There would be 75% less publicity about Boles if our fans would stop being so fixated on him.

BV DEVIL, I just wanted to voice my opinion on how ashamed I am to be a Greenville fan. It's not only due to the rediculous video you posted on line about Boles (a 17 year old kid)but also the entire lack of sportsmanship I have witnessed at Greeneville. You really should find more to do with your life than pick on a 17 year old kid!!! I have sadly watched the following poor sportsmanship recently; -fights being started at the South Greene game -Parents and fans threatening other teams at the soccer tournament in Elizabethton -Disrespecting other teams after football games by not praying with the other teams and coach Ballard would not go and shake the hand of the coach's at Franklin County's and WG -Not showing up untill game time at an away teams stadium is the most classless act I have witnessed in a long time Those are just a few but you sir (BVDEVIL) have topped it all off! The day an adult starts to bully a 17 year old kid is a very sad day. In your 11 minute video you mention Boles's name 14 times but you also said the video wasn't about him, hmmm. I have never seen our team and fans so consummed with a kid at another school. We are so jeolous of him getting some publicity that we haven't realized we give him more publicity than any newspaper or TV channel. The worst part is the kid seems like a nice humble kid but since he went to WG instead of Gville we attack him. If he where at Gvilee we would love him!!! The reality is he is probabaly the best football player in the area! Oh, before you attack my football IQ you should know I played college ball and have sevral years of coaching experiance. If Boles played for Gville he would've had over 300 yards easy against WG. Shuffler is a great player as well so don't claim I am knocking him! We knock the competition that WG has played but the reality is they play more higher rated classes that we do!!! WG is a 3a team and we are 4a team. WG played 3 schools 1 class lower (2a) but we play 6 or 7 (3a)lower ones this year. We seem to forget that Boles's line is a good line but they are nowhere close to the line Shuffler runs behind and I'm sure Boles will have more yards against the same oppenents we play. If he does have more that is great, he is a great kid.. My point is instead of us being so focused on Boles we should be supporting him. No kid from any school has ever done in this league what he has and that is impressive! I didn't see our coach putting the starting defense in late in the game against Alcoa because Hambrick was still playing. That shows how consummed we are with a 17 year old kid from WG. I sure am glad none of our starting defense got hurt while we had them in late in the game!!!!!!!!!! The truth is we have no business playing the county schools! The county schools have no where near the resources available at Gville and when you watch the games it shows. We have 4 or 5 times as many position coaches alone. We seem to forget how many yards Willie racked up last year playing 7 schools in lower class than us! In fact those games where well over but we wanted him to win Mr. Football. The Chuckey Doak game last year when we we're up by 40 and still had in was sad but hay he got over 300 yards so I guess we all liked it. I've probably said to much but I just felt someone needed to remind our fans that we have become a big bully and we are picking on kids!!! I really hope this message doesn't make anyone mad! My entire purpose is get our fans to realize we have used very bad sportsmanship and we need to change!!! We need to learn how to win!!! I read on here how we want the County schools to respect us, respect is earned. Our team has earned their respect on the field by killing all of them but the actions around the field doesn't deserve respect! I do apologize to the majority of our fans because this entire rant is meant for those whom actions have disrespected the Greeneville Devils. I hate that the actions of few make us all look bad.I hope in the future our fans will remind each other when they are not using good judgement!

I can't blame them after seeing how a lot of our fans act on this board. I am looking forward to game. From what I've seen we are catching Alcoa on the best possible year to beat them. It should be a great game, Go Devils.

Boles had 368 yards on 26 carries and 3 touchdowns last night in a 28 to 7 win. That gives him over 1,300 yards through 5 games.

I think it may be Rhinehart's uncle. In an earlier post he stated WG should throw the ball a lot more. A team that has 11 completions and 3 interceptions should be throwing the ball much! The one two punch with Boles and Starnes is there best option! Boles should get around 25 to 30 carries a game and Starnes the rest. Nobody on hear thinks Starnes is on the same level as Boles but he is a good back! In WG's 39 year history Boles is there all time leading rusher so obviously he is special! WG needs to keep Starnes rested for defense and Boles rested for offense. Starnes is doing a good job on defense. WG's needs to worry more about getting their defensive back in the proper position. Starnes is doing a good job but there are severallays where the DB's look like they have no idea who they are suppose to be covering! I would like to see WG run the ball outside a lot more!!! By the way in future post some of the people on here need to remember these are 16 and 17 year kids you are on hear talking about.

I wasn't at the Jamboree this year but I know for a fact he ran a 4.47 at VMI. It was his fastest time ever. At the San Antonio Army All-American combine he ran a 4.54. All I'm saying is he has some speed. Anyone running 4.4 or 4.5 does. A lot goes into a 40 yard time and most of it is technique when your getting down to those times.

Ensworth is the best High School!

Yes, I've heard he has quite a few requesting tape of his first 3 games this year. The thing that hurts him is his height. He is 5ft 8in. Hopefully someone gives him a shot.

I have been looking forward to seeing this game since I first heard it was scheduled. I have to admitt the Alcoa vs. AE game has me questioning how good it will be. It may be all due to injuries but this doesn't seem like the same Alcoa as teams past. I hope they have everyone back for this game! I really want to see Greeneville beat them at full strength.

I'm not sure if you noticed but every team this year has keyed on Boles! He is not a secret. Starnes is a good backup with decent speed but he just doesn't seem to be on the same level as Boles. Starnes's 3.9 per carry avg doesn't hold up to Boles's 11. I agree that you have to mix it up some but WG has never really been known as a throwing team. Last week was a great time to open it up against Unaka but CG is not Unaka. I think they should get a good lead first. Let's not forget they have only completed 11 of 23 and they have had 3 int's. On one series in late in the game against Grainger WG ran the ball right down the field untill they got inside the 20 then they trew an interception. If I had a back that was averaging 235+ yards a game I would keep giving him the ball and spend the rest of my time worrying about making the defense better!

Sounds like there are several good 3A backs. With that being said I would have to go with Dalton Boles. Has 950 yards in 4 games, he ran a 4.47 40 at VMI's camp on the laser, a 4.0 shuttle, benches 405 lb, and squats well over 550 lb. I find all that hard to argue against but we will see where the numbers fall at the end of the season. This isn't a knock against West Greene lineman but Alcoa's line is a lot different than WG's! By the way Dalton had over 100 yards on 11 carries last year in the playoff game against Austin East.
