The reason why we got the win tonight was playing solid disciplined football. The coaches finally stuck to what works and we found our groove and put some points on the board. I'm impressed.

I'm a die hard Fairview fan, but unless we play the best game of our season, and Lewis plays their worst I wouldn't get your hopes up. Lewis County has always been one of the toughest games on our schedule. I think we built our confidence a little last week against a very poor east hickman team and I just hope this week of practice was a good one because we sure are gonna need it. Goodluck to Zimmerman and company tonight. It could be a close one.

Anyone that claims that one player can't make a team is wrong. Without Zimmerman, this team will struggle to beat east hickman. He really is a game changer. Best QB in Fairview's history in my opinion and he's got stats to back that up. We all knew this was gonna be a tough year for us, but we all had faith that somehow coach Hughes would work a miracle and make it work with what he has. With Zimmerman not being healthy, it's just tough to watch this year. It's not time to give up, but I don't see this Fairview team winning another game this season.

After hearing all of this, i don't believe Fairview will be in the top 3 and in that case might not even make the playoffs since I can remember. wow.

Fairview will not be as strong as they have been the past few years by any means. They will still be a solid team and probably make it to they playoffs and get knocked out first round. Go ahead and mark my words, that's my prediction and I'm an avid Fairview fan.

I'm sorry Lewis, have to say CPA is going to win this one.

You might not have to worry about the state championship

After watching hours of film on CPA, I am a whole lot more confident on our ability to hang with them. If we play a solid game, hold onto the ball, and stay disciplined CPA has got a long night ahead of them. This game will be within 10 points.

I respect that your kids have been playing together since 6th grade. The majority probably have been together since 6th grade. I'm not taking that away from you, but I am not that naive to think that each year, a few "select" players choose to come to CPA to play football. I have no problem with that, I completely understand that if you are a talented player, you would want to have a coaching staff and a team that would prepare you for the next level and get you the most publicity possible. That is actually a very smart choice in my opinion. Bottom line is that come playoff time CPA should play with the private schools such as Ensworth and Brentwood Academy. It is only fair.

It all comes down to the simple fact that private schools should play private schools and public should play public. This goes for all athletics. Our girls soccer team was the only public school in the state tournament this year. Had their not been any private schools in that state tournament, I would venture to say that our girls could have brought a state championship back to Fairview. In football, if schools like CPA and CAK were not in the equation, you would have teams like Fairview and Lewis County actually being able to make it past the 3rd or 4th round and actually getting the oppurtunity to play for a state championship. Now they might be playing a powerhouse like Alcoa, but atleast they made it, instead of being beat by a private school. That's just my 2 cents.

Just about every player on both sides of the ball has offers from major D-1 colleges. I think you have to account for all of them.

Had me sold on him until I watched this, he doesn't look much better than any other high school QB with some speed. Not to mention, his throws were weak.

I'm gonna give it to Lewis here. You guys really impressed me. Although there were a lot of bogus calls by the refs. It's becoming a part of the game. Had we not had so many penalties on us and we play like we did in the 4th quarter with our backs against the wall. We run away with this game. But it is over and LC gets the W in the stat column so there is nothing that can be done now.

I did not mean that Lewis was skill wise on the same level as East, HC, and Camden. What I meant to say was those three teams (mainly East and HC) always come on here saying that this is the year they are going to beat us. Either way, I didn't want to ruffle any feathers, I was just trying to say that although Lewis might be better than in years past, they wont beat us this year.

I don't mean to insult Lewis by any means because I know that they are a decent team, but I put Lewis right in there with East, HC, and Camden. They all think they are so big and bad and can beat us..... but that is just never the case. Sorry Lewis, you have one more year of beatings to endure.

Starters out at half. Fireworks after the game though, so East can stay and watch if they would like? Or they can just pack it up and leave at halftime.

I think that your wrong. Our secondary is not as weak as you might think. If East throws the ball around a little, I wouldn't be surprised if the QB ends up with more interceptions than completions. That's my opinion.

I was just trying to get a rise out of a few people. This game will be over by halftime.

I say Montgomery Central pulls the upset on this one, it will be a close game. Fairview will have a turnover that costs them the game.

Lets not get cocky now, we are just going to take this week just as if it were any other week. We are going to put up as much points as possible in the first half so our starters can rest for the second half. That has been the plan this whole season.

The first few quarters of this game could be close. Word around town is a lot of our starters are sitting out for the first two quarters as disciplinary action. Hopefully this does not hurt us too bad.

We are still little old Fairview, whether the # 3 ranking says we are or not. The mindset for this team this year is one week at a time. Just so happens that this week it is Stewart County week. The players could care less about a stupid number/ranking. They do all of their talking on the field. Now, like I said, we are just little old Fairview, Stewart County is liable to smack us in the mouth and send us packing. One thing you will learn about Fairview is though, we do not give up. Winning or losing, in the 4th quarter when all of the other teams are starting to wear out. Fairview is still firing on all cylinders, and that is something I was very impressed with last week, and I also had a big part in our success. Just my 2 cents.
