if Macon can't compete in a game where 15 players, 13 of them being starters were suspended, then it is more hopeless than I thought. Feel bad for the boys who are sticking it out and playing with effort. Talent and size just isn't there to be very competitive.

it is hard for me to fathom Hartsville not winning this game by 21 plus. Having said that, Hartsville isn't where they have been in previous years, but they have some young speed and talent in the backfield. Line will be the problem against people like Gordonsville and Friendship.

feel bad for the MC boys. seemed to play hard, just don't have it this year. #15 for Macon, AC, is doing good things this year. Played good D and ran a punt back for a td. played pretty good qb when you consider the circumstances. Best player for the Tigers so far.

Macon County needs coaching stability in the worst way right now. No program will ever be successful when there are so many changes at the top. Whether Coach Smith turns out a winner or not, we need 4 or 5 years out of him, just to get some stability back in the program.

I agree with this. In years past, we have had more than enough talent to win more games, but coaching and effort have been problems for a long time. Not to mention meddling boosters and parents.

Will RBS set the edges against TC later on this year? No. Will Trousdale rest their starters? Yes. Will the game be over before halftime? Yes The same things may apply to Macon, but lets not act like anybody from RBS can be downing Macon, with that outstanding football tradition you guys have. You have been on Sports Center, so that is something you have both MC and TC beat at.

I actually think this game can be closer than most think if, and this is a big IF, but if Macon can set the edges on the defense and not get beat with sweeps by TC's skill position players, who are good, but if they can keep the plays inside, it gives TC less of a chance to outrun MC. Might be a bit of a stretch, but I can see this being closer if this scenario plays out.

That is something I don't understand. Macon gets the redneck tag alot, but it and all the other surrounding counties are spitting images of each other.

Trousdale county has always stomped Macon's teeth in because they have better athletes, and they practice harder. End of story.

I wouldn't read to much into the D tonight. Jo Byrn's offense is garbage. Offense has been the strong point for the last 3 seasons with MC, until this year. This Jo Byrns offense wouldn't score 30 pts on a good Jr high team. No silver lining tonight. Just a bad all around post. Try harder.
