Let's just concentrate on Friday Night and not worry about what happened in SYS. You have got to be kidding. Since they won the conference way back in elementary school they should win them all now???? I am glad that you and your wife have supported the program with your time and money. It is greatly appreciated- however your contributions do not give you the right to flame negativity every time the former SYS champs don't see success at the High School level. Get a grip with reality. Support the whole program and keep your negativity to yourself. Honestly- Marlon you have been a great supporter and it is great. My whole problem with you has been you wanting to criticize when things don't go well. I am finished with this discussion. Go TRojans and lets keep it up. The focus this week should be on beating White Station and advancing to Round 2.

Great win for the Trojans and very happy they are District Champs. Big shout out to the coaches and players for a hard fought victory. TrojanX- you are probably referring to me about eating crow- I never said we didn't have talent- just for you to stop blaming the coaches when we don't play to "your" daddy expectations. No negativity this week- so don't reply. Let's just show up Friday Night and be loud against the Spartans. They have a good squad and it should be a great ball game. Got to be ready for a stacked box- 0-3-3 aint gonna get it done this week. Still gonna come down to the boys with their hand on the ground on both sides of the ball. The BIG Boys up front will decide the game. The team that wins the battle in the trenches will win the game. Go Trojans.....

Why the rumors? Are they not happy with Major over at Wingate? Major is a good solid coach. They might want to be careful before they let a good guy go. Seems that Wingate has been in a funk for a while now. I imagine they need to open the recruiting bag up a little and let him go and get some better players. The teams he has to play have a pretty big recruiting pot. Seriously though, Major knows what he is doing... hard to compete with some of those teams he has to play..

Like I said, hate that there is not more hype for this game than there is. Good Luck tonight boys against the Chiefs.

Just heard that Mark Healy's father passed away earlier this week. Prayers to he and his family. Hope to hear from him soon again giving his fine analyze of high school football not just in Millington but for all of Shelby-Metro. Mark is a good one.

Just over 24 hours till kick off. Big game in Millington. Hope the crowd is not light because of the start of Fall Break. Not a lot of buzz in the town with everything else going on. kind of a shame that other things have taken away from the game and its importance. I was not trying to intimidate you Trojanx. You are too sensitive. you just seem to always want to blame someone when something doesn't go according to your plans. i was just pointing out that maybe we aren't as talented as you think and maybe we are doing about what we can expect. Do I want us to win every game? You bet.. Are we going to? Not going to happen. The difference between you and me is I am realistic and see that. And when we lose I will not make excuses and point fingers. That is all. Lets go play the Chiefs and get a big win.. Go Trojans..

Looks like my point is proven. Here we are at 6-1 and most of the talk is negative. alot of wouldhave, couldhave, and shoulhave by the fans on coacht. No motivation, not fired up enough etc. One guy says we are better on defense against the pass and then another says we are not so good against the pass. Too much negative vibes fellows. Chris is a good coach but the "other guys" not so sure about? the buddy system? I think these are the same guys that helped hawkins when he was the coach? Instead of bringing us down and pointing fingers- show up and be loud friday night. We dont have the hosses to go all the way this year- sorry trojanx (marlon) but we are a better than average high school team. I bet melrose and houston would love to be 6-1 right now. you guys are stirring the pot and hurting. Sorry but the truth hurts.

No kidding Brewer is head coach- McFerrin is the guy doing the coaching. I imagine Brewer is learning a lot from McFerrin- but make no mistake McFerrin has a HUGE input on what is going on..

Good for the Panthers. Maybe that hire wasn't as bad as people predicted. McFerrin can coach- no doubt about it. Good luck to those guys.

Fellows I am with you. I want the very best for Millington. Just be realistic and don't point fingers is all I am saying. TrojanX you are wrong about what is said on here doesn't affect Friday nights though. With all this new media (facebook, message boards, talk radio) programs are constantly scrutinized. on many levels.. players read and hear about everything. Small seeds of doubt are planted unfairly in the players and other fans minds and before too long- you could have problems. it is the curse of all of the available media. So yes - you are a pot stirrer when you ask? is it coach or talent- players start to question too and before too long there could be problems. Support the program and if you have doubts(?) go see chris one on one - just do it the right way. Go Trojans.....

TrojanX- calm down big boy-I just pointed out that you always (with others) seem to over inflate our talent and then jump on the coaches when things don't go according to your expectations. I have been on coacht for years and rarely ever post on here. So I had to reactivate my account with a different name. However, for years I have seen others like you in Millington- overstate and over hype the team. It is great to be a fan- but be realistic. Support the team but support the whole team. Don't turn on the coaches at the first sign of trouble (6-1). I bet there are plenty of teams that would like that trouble. Are we going to be State Champs this year? No- we don't have the team to do it. Are we going to win more than we lose this year? With out a doubt. Stats- Stats are pretty misleading especially when you play some of the not so great teams we have played this year (Bolton, Bartlett, Munford, Trez). I support and love this team just like you do. i will not however, throw any of the coaches under the bus or say anything negative about them. The coaches don't fumble, miss blocks, mis tackles etc. They coach players not to do those things. If the same things keep happening then the coaches should substitute those players with those that can get the job done. Maybe that talent that you say is so great is just not getting the job done to your satisfaction. Don't take offense to what I am saying. i support the team all the way. I just choose not to point fingers. you and some others like to do that- the coaches are always an easy target. Be a full Supporter and not a Pot Stirrer? "is it talent or coaching?"- trying to stir the pot....

Sounds like you guys are getting down on the coaching staff? Trojanx (marlon) that is your typical response when the team doesn't meet your expectations. chris and the other coaches do a good job. what is the record 6-1. granted they haven't looked great all the time but they won. maybe that talent isn't is good as you always think it is or maybe they are doing what they can with what they have. but typical "booster" - always blaming the coach(s).
