  1. Cleggy, I'm with you. Hopefully we'll be able to tell a little after the scrimmage tonight. Personally I'm pretty fired up for it to just be a scrimmage. I think there are alot of things we all want to see. Main thing I want to see is how they come together, will they become a team? and will they play with that thing that beats in their chest. Go Patriots!!!
  2. Would love to have Joe back for sure but I think Howard and JT are going to do just fine based on the scrimmage. Could not tell you for sure who won the scrimmage both teams moved the ball and I was not counting the TD's but I believe we had several more TD's.
  3. Sounds like you heard a pretty fair assessment. They did have several interceptions and the tackling does need a lil improvement. The O line must have been doing something right cause they had room to run and time to throw. Several bright spots I saw! Hopefully they will keep working hard and continue to improve. Go Patriots!
  4. I thought the scrimmage went pretty good...the offense moved the ball pretty well and the defense looked like they need to tighten up a few things but overall the scrimmage was a positive I thought. Any thoughts?
  5. Well I'm gonna go ahead and "blow my cover" but let me start by saying that I absolutely think that Reid can do it...I really have no doubts at all. I say that having worked with him some so that is in my honest opinion. I think that Reyes can do it also but I am a little biased because he is my son. I'm sure Coach Brown is going to do what he thinks is best for his team and even though I want to see my son out there I have no problems with Christian leading the team if thats what the coach decides. Don't get me wrong... Hunter and I are both competitive and a lot of work has been put in to earn playing time but at the end of the day everyone has to embrace their role however big, little or different in order to be successful. Christian Reid has been nothing but good to Hunter...I have not seen the selfishness, he has tried to help Hunter any way he can, treated him with respect and he is a very good kid and athlete. I appreciate and am flattered by everyone that supports and believes in Hunter but Christian truly deserves the same. They both have strenghts and weakness' and both are good QB's. None of us have any control over who Coach Brown puts under center but we can choose to support who ever is. Like I tell my son..."it's not about you" and this team is so much more than a "Reid/Reyes" controversy. Those two boys co-exist just fine and ride home from practice together nearly every day. If they can do it...it should be easy for us fans! Go Patriots!!! Jeff Reyes
  6. I really doubt that Coach Brown is "down" on his senior QB. Reid is a definate bright spot on the team! Yeah he may tuck it and run a lil early but I don't remember him throwing many interceptions or being selfish. Reid will be fine! If Reyes steps up, puts on weight and gets stronger I'm sure they will find a way to get him some experience for now and the future. Ultimately though this team will need everyone that can contribute to contribute regardless of position. I sure would like to see everyone get behind Reid and show confidence in him whether he plays QB, RB or Reciever. Parents, players and fans really need to take an all for one approach with this team and just maybe they will do more than they're picked to do. Go Patriots!
  7. Mac Stewart is the freshman SS for Portland and yes she is the real deal.
  8. I here he has pretty good size and speed. Not sure about position. I'm sure he can help the team some where. Does anyone know if JC Bass is coming back? I think he may have had some shoulder issues?
  9. It's really all about the offensive and defensive lines! There are some good up and coming skill players but the team is left a little bare in the trenches. Although there is no one with the speed of J Walker to replace him the skill posistions should be ok. If some young players progress and step up to the challenge of holding the line's down the Patriots should be just fine if no one steps up could be a long year!
  10. Injuries,Blocking,Tackling, penalties and a need for better leadership from the players!
  11. I don't think thats a very fair statement. The Patriots were not able to run on NC and Reid threw the ball well. Sure he threw a pick (1 pick) but passing was the only thing working for the offense. Look your not going to snap your fingers and have an efficient passing attack it is going to take a little time. When everyone gets on the same page you'll see the passing game take the pressure off the run game and the playcaller will be able to take what the defense is giving. Reid is one of the positives for this program and should be supported not blamed for a loss in a game in which he played well. For a Team sport we sure like to pick on individuals.
