DB had eight pins against Maryville. I keep saying it (and I think most agree) but DB is real handful assuming they can stay healthy, nobody quits, etc. etc. etc. I think they have a real shot at top 4.
I'm going to be honest, I'm not sure how anyone could have looked at DBs roster and come to the conclusion SH or Maryville are better. I have zero affiliation with DB and have said less than five words to any of their coaches in my life.
They're really good and people shouldn't over look them at all. We were missing a few, but nor sure it'd matter.

Yeah, most of maryville points were forfeit.
This teams only hole is heavyweight from what I saw this weekend.
Maryville is a very good them to get beat like that.
We had 2 forfeits, 106 and 220. 220 wouldn't have been any different.

Iams beat Costello at the Maryville Invitational.

I’m not saying you were. I was just stating as of now Burton is wrestling at 114 and Risner has wrestled 120.
I was just simply stating I was not calling coaches I’m simply going off where they have been wrestling.
Not a problem to me on where you rank girls just a discussion between 2 people who are doing rankings.
People who critique are often asked if they want to do rankings and most of the time no is said but since you and myself put in the time to do rankings I figured we can discuss the topic.
Josh has been a friend of mine for a long time and I trust his input on his team. Part of the way I do rankings is utilizing the relationships I have with other coaches, using my own eyes, and lastly Trackwrestling. Trackwrestling doesn't always tell the full story on individual matches so I make the effort to do additional "homework" when I have the resources.

Oh well I’m not calling coaches to find out their future game plan but sounds good.
Nobody said anything about future plans, but whatever you say.

235 I think we both are off on just a little bit if anyone here is why
1st-Diamond Young Cleveland Girls
2nd-Gabriella Gray Chattanooga Central Girls
3rd-Mallory Austin Bartlett Girls
Beat Kharisma Graham 5-3
Beat Zahara Williams 2x 7-4 and 8-1
4th-Kharisma Graham Montgomery Central Girls
1-1 Mallory Austin
1-1 Madison Mcdowell
Loss to Zahara
Loss to Sydney
5th- Zahara Williams Rossview Girls
Beat Emma Young 2x
1-1 with Sydney Hueser
1-1 Madison Mcdowell
-Beat Graham
6th-Sydney Hueser Franklin Girls
1-1 with Zahara williams
1-1 with Madison Mcdowell
Win Over Mallory Austin
Win Over Graham
Emma Young
Loss to Grey
Loss to Zahara 2x
Loss to Macy Greenlee 2x
Win Over Madison Mcdowell
if anyone Madison McDowell should be up there and for me Graham lower or not ranked and for you Emma Young not ranked since she has not beat any of the Ranked Girls on either of our lists and Greenlee only beat Young 2x who is not ranked on my list because of her losses and her only 2 wins are against Young.
another girl that could be in the mix is
Emily Fuller who is1-2 against Zahara
loss 1 pin
loss 2 10-9
win 1 pin
Win over Madison McDowell Pin
0-2 Sydney Hueser
Are her only losses listed on Track this year against Ranked Girls
If memory serves me right, Young beat Gray in the preseason and I've seen them both in person.

Also might want to check Mila Risner at 120 and Jamilynn Burton at 114.
Talked to Coach Harris about this one last night and it's fine for now.

I didn't get to watch everything. A couple of highlights were the 195lb finals between Medina and Stadl. Crazy back and forth match. Easily match of the day. Medina has wrestled a lot this year and is already in late season form. Stadl is, IMO, a better technical wrestler from a techniques stand point but Medinas length and athleticism are a problem for anyone. Great match and possibly a preview of state quarters or finals. They'll meet again at sectionals I'm sure.
Peyton Cooper is a beast. I've talked him several times and he's always such a genuinely nice kid. But, he's also a fierce competitor. If you were there, you saw it. Kid is on a mission and really put it on the NCS kid.
CAK kid at 182lbs is solid all around.
Miller kid at 113lbs for SH is solid around.
I think the tournament over all was a bit down this year with so many other teams at Brimer and Drennen. Still a good tournament and fun.
Soddy was there and has some solid kids. If AC was small school, like they should be, it'd be a great dual between the two. They were 1.5 points apart.
Appreciate the positive feedback.

Looks like it was a great tourney!
Doubled our tournament entries from our inaugural event last season and had a ton of great match-ups. So much so we may have to start earlier, had matches going from 5:30 to almost 11 PM.
That being the case, I want to personally thank all of the coaches who made it happen. You can see the passion for building the girls division is growing state wide.

It’s somewhat on target for the rankings I do.
But now since the names are out I can edit them.
Some of your weights are wrong, but there are 130 girls now entered for competition.

Somewhat on target, but not quite.

Who was complaining about either of these 100 lb girls being ranked?
Maybe they don’t care ha.
You’re not coaching Girls wrestling anymore for a reason. Time to go.

Irelynn Laurin at 165 is another freshman that will do some damage. Prob the 2nd best 165…. She is starting over Mize who beat Whaley for 5th at state…..
Has pins over Mize and Adamo.
My ex roommate/teammate at Chattanooga coached her as an Iron Knight so I'm well aware. With the academy the Iron Knights have open now in Clarksville you'll start seeing a lot more girls like her coming out of those Clarksville programs.

FINALLY…. I will agree with this….. Sawyer will be placing VERY high
She's special and definitely one of the 4-5 freshman girls who will reach the medal stand as long as she stays healthy.

Yea because who has she wrestled and defeated that makes her on my radar? What puts her on any ranking if she has not wrestled anyone on the list you have like Ty Bryant state runner up from last year..
I could ask about a few girls on your list but I won’t do that.
again very similar list as the one I have been doing.
feel free to give me the credit for helping you out..She beat Hosford at Stone. She was trained by Nahshon Garrett & I've seen her since MS. She is one of a few Freshman who should medal this season & just because you haven't seen her doesn't mean she's no good.
Why do you think you deserve any credit? Are you assuming I used your list.

Interesting selection I won’t argue the differences or similarities to the rankings I have been doing.
Just in a different order or the 6th girl is different..But we will see how much your rankings tend to be different or similar to the ones I’ll be putting out during the season.
Also for example the 235 Clarksville girl has not wrestled much this year when she has had the opportunity to do so maybe there is a reason like education but until she wrestles she won’t be in my rankings.
No problem. Sawyer Ward is one you'll want to watch at 138. You didn't have her listed but she won't be flying under the radar much longer.

Rincon was winning 8-2 before her injury at the Maryville Invitational & beat Sacharczyk a few weeks before in the I-40 Clash @ Stone Memorial. Iams was winning 5-1 was & dominating that match before Hamelryck medically forfeited out. In both cases I was sitting mat side and ot was obvious who the better wrestlers were during their respective matches. Say what you want about Iams and her "lack of competition", but she's put together a pretty good string of wins over the last month or so against some tough girls and I had no reservations putting her where I did.
The Heavyweight class can go a multitude of ways, no real consistent winner outside of Diamond Young IMO. I don't see that changing anytime soon.
I'll admit I missed the Von Loh win, that would change it for me had I known.
