Congrats on a good win Pirates. Sounds like this one certainly lived up to the hype.

I guess the turning point for me was when #4 (I think) went down in that game. All of the players from both teams came together on the field right in the middle of the game and held hands and prayed for the kid. That was an awesome moment! Absolute class from both sides. I guess that just done something to me. With that being said. I hope ya'll take care of business tonight against Polk and have no injuries. I know the "real game" is next week!

I gained a new level of respect for South Pitt when they came up and played us this year. The fans and players were very respectful towards our team. Even all you Pirates on the message boards were very complimentary of the way we played that night. So I will be cheering for you to bring the Gold Ball to the Valley.

If you think for one second the Irish are gonna shut us out next week, you're the one who is drinking the shine.

Seems like all the Greeneville fans are very confident that the Devils are going to win easily. From looking at the record this year I would say rightfully so. But I would not get too cocky. Purple. This thread is like fighting a losing battle.. I have been going through this mess with Grundy fans for almost a year now. It's always the coaches fault when they lose according to some people. One of your previous posts made me think of it like this. Coaches do not tackle, or fumble the ball, or throw interceptions, or make touchdowns. They form a game plan. Call the plays but it is up to the players to execute the plan and the plays. I will say this. Football is a game of emotion. One play can turn a game around on either sideline. This has certainly been an emotional season for Grundy. People can say what they want but our team as gotten better over the last few weeks. Some say its because we have played a few cupcakes. I do not buy into that. I think coaching has had alot to do with it. These players love this coaching staff and are playing their hearts out right now. You can see it on the field. We should win again this week and then it's the big one against Notre Dame. I am drinking the Kool-Aid and believing we can win out.

I might be wrong but I believe we will give Notre Dame all they want and might even possible upset them.

Say what you want but at least for this season. These boys are seeming like they have pulled it together and now are playing some good ball. But I guess that has nothing to do with coaching though? When we lose its always blamed on the coach. When we win., he never gets any credit. He has pulled a team together that was in disarray a few weeks ago and now we have a chance to run the table.

Well.......He will be there next year so just suck it up and get over it and support these coaches and this team. That's all I have to say about it.

Well......This was just my thoughts this morning. Looks like to me that ever since The Coach was suspended it has lit a fire under these boys. They are playing like we thought they would all year long. Could they possibly be playing for The Coach? Naaaaa.....It couldn't be that could it? When I saw them play against South Pitt, it looked like they came out with something to prove and every week since they are showing that they have some grit and a don't give up attitude. I'm sure that doesn't have anything to do with coaching though?
