Waverly 61 Blackman 88

I didn't predict Waverly to play in 3rd place game, nor am I taking shots at Waverly, I stated that Blackman was one of the best teams I've seen play and predicted that Waverly would get beat, as they did 88-61. Not taking shots, just stating that Blackman was a superior team in talent, size and is a very well coached team.

I'll say Blackman 94 Waverly 72 Waverly's press won't work against Blackman, and Blackman can run all game long, probably the fastest playing team I've seen.

Waverly beats Dickson Co. by 2 in an exciting game. Good win for Waverly. Cheatham Co. beat Franklin by 5, also a good win. Jan. 15 can't get here soon enough. Also does Waverly play Dickson Co. again? Hearing they do and don't.

McEwen vs CA was also moved to Thurs.

Papatiger, the style Waverly plays allows them to score more points against inferior opponents, (press whole game). CCCHS does not press the entire game but plays pressure defense. With that being said, these two teams will be the premier matchup in the District. Should be Fun.

How many of Beech's players played football? Could be an interesting night for Waverly, IF Beech has had a bunch of guys out, because they have been blown out in their first two games by Brentwood and Sycamore.

When does Waverly play Harpeth? Home and Away, I would like to see those games.

Cheatham Co. beats Ravenwood in a sloppy game. Refs called a bunch of weak stuff on both sides. Easy win for CCCHS

Watched Sycamore vs Creekwood last night, Creekwood looked bad.... They can't score, defense is decent but no offense whatsoever. Tonight Cheatham Co. Plays Ravenwood, should be a good gauge to see how Cheatham plays them considering Waverly played Ravenwood to OT, and lost by 2 I believe. Also, I thought I saw the Harpeth score right last night, beat Pearl Cohn by about 17. If that's the case, that's an impressive win for them.

Probably going to watch Creek Wood tonight, looking forward to seeing what they have this year.

I stated I don't believe Ethridge holds Jake below 20. I'm not taking anything away from Ethridge, or Waverly, I just don't see how Waverly will guard Cheatham's starting 5. I definitely agree that it will be fun to watch these two teams play, I believe they are both on another level above the other teams in the District.

. If I was a betting man, I would say they play 4 times this season. 2nd of all, How many did Saunders have in 2nd half of that game, and Saunders averaged 27 points per game in that CPA camp. Finally Jake has been attacking the offensive glass way more this year than last year. I'll take Jake having Over 20 all day.

This is the worst I have ever seen the District, with that being said, "it's wide open for anybody".

Will Ethridge guard Saunders? If so I don't see him holding Saunders below 20. Very excited for the Waverly-Cheatham matchup, should be a lot of fun to watch.

Cheatham County and Kenwood tonight should be a good game. Saw Kenwood play at the Harpeth play day, they have some athletes. Cheatham has an opportunity to make a statement.

Who do yal think are the top players in the District? There is a lot of talented players this year, I'll go with. Jake Saunders Austin Mullinax Ethan Hurt (Camden guard) can't think of his name. Tell me what yal think.

Watched Cheatham Co., Waverly and Harpeth at play day, and Cheatham definitely is the favorite in the district, Waverly also looked better than last year, Coach Trotter has them playing intense, especially on defense. Harpeth was about what I expected but will probably place third in district.

Good play day. Thought there were some good teams there. Thought refs called games too tight though.

At end of year I think these four teams advance to regional. 1. WHH 2. McEwen 3. East Rob 4. Really is a toss up, I'll go with Jo Byrns. I will have to wait and see what Leads Has. Looking forward to watching yal's games being played at Fisk.

Just watched Camden and McEwen scrimmage, Camden won, but the whole scrimmage was very poor. #11 for Camden was only player from both sides that shown some form of skill. Both teams had guys out because of Football, but Camden will probably finish 5 or 6 in 11AA.

Cheatham County should win every district game they play this year. I'm afraid they might get caught early because of Football. Not sure how many of the basketball players play football, but Cheatham Co., should run away with the district this season. Waverly is just a little above average team, their new coach is intense, (having watched his Summertown teams the past couple of years). As far as Harpeth, watched you guys last year, and was not impressed, yal did upset Cheatham but no way you upset them this year. Going to watch Camden tomorrow, will learn more about them then.
