  6. Those of you who came out tonight saw a GREAT high school basketball game! That is what the Sub-State/Sectional game is supposed to be about. 2 teams playing every possession like it was their last. It was a well played game, hard fought and a GREAT atmosphere from both crowds to top it off. Hats off to Lipscomb, who made the plays down the stretch to win. To Harpeth, Congratulations on a well played game and a great season; use this as a stepping stone for the future.

  9. Update: LaVergne out, Bolivar in. This should be an incredible day of basketball; a basketball junkies' dream! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  10. Harpeth does have a playday on Nov. 10th. Clarksville, Clarksville Northwest, Centennial, Cheatham Co., Covington, FRA, Harpeth, Hillsboro, Nashville Christian, and Page will all be there. Should be a good day of basketball.
  11. I do not think the post was made to brag about a contract. If you know anything about the Tennessee Travelers and their program you know they are all about the kids. I believe the post was directed to high school players and coaches being fed incorrect information as well as those being deceitful about their sponsorship. We all know AAU is about trying to put the best team together one can to win as much as possible and give the PLAYERS a chance to showcase themselves, but programs or coaches should not mislead kids to get them to play for them.
  12. No offense to anyone posting on this thread but mbn25 is right. If it comes down to freethrows Giles is going to have a serious scare. Keep in mind in their first round game Harpeth started fouling w/ about 1:30 left adn Giles missed the 1 of 2 only having a 4 point lead but then Giles forced HHS into a turnover off the rebound then scored off the turnover. I think it is a great game plan for coaches to understand a teams weaknesses and freethrow shooting is definitely a weakness for Giles. Moving on, I hope Giles will come out tonight and play w/ cool heads and understand that smaller, less athletic teams are going to foul more and they are going to make those fouls count (meaning hard, very hard). So waht are the predictions for tonight's game?
  13. really keithr, Tyler did not miss those dunks in fear of being undercut! Two different kids contested his dunks one was 6'0" the other 6'1" and both went for the ball and were clean plays. And if your point is that he could have dunked on anyone @ anytime why did he not just simply take over the game @ anytime. He was guarded by a 6'1" and 6'2" guard in rotation most of the night after Dansby got into foul trouble. Honestly, I have not seen anything yet as far as their shooting is concerned? You are referring to a team that shots freethrows @ a 58-62% clip. Their outside shooting is lacking other than Holt & Shannon.
